"I had a great experience at this quiet and friendly restaurant with excellent food. It was a perfect location for a reunion with my university friends on a Saturday. The staff were very nice and accommodating, even checking if the chicken was free range (unfortunately, it was not). The fish and new potatoes were delicious, and my friend enjoyed the linguine. The dessert selection was impressive, and we tried the crumble and chocolate mousse, which were both delicious. The prices were reasonable, and although the address was a bit tricky to find in an alleyway, it was definitely worth the search. I will definitely be returning."

"a classic bar works chess, three johns has long been a favorite of me. I love the interieur: it is stone and woody, without being the typical iondoner we are so used to. "The Old Firehouse is popular with students and locals due to its wonderful atmosphere and great value food. It offers vegan options for lunch and dinner, with roast dinners during Sunday daytimes and a pizza menu from 8:30/9pm most evenings and from 5pm on Sundays. The vegan roast is a favourite of mine it's a roast veg, spinach and chickpea cake served with veg, potatoes and gravy and it's delicious! During the rest of the week, the veggie chilli is amazing, but very spicy! In the evenings it's all about the vegan butternut squash pizza, which also includes spinach and chickpeas with vegan cheese. They're not toppings I would naturally put on a pizza, but it's one of the best I've had, and definitely the best vegan pizza I've eaten. Even if you just pop in here for a drink, it's worth the visit because it's such a lovely venue. It does get very busy, and you can't reserve tables unless your a big group, however there are lots of large tables, so don't be scared to ask other diners to share their table it's all part of the Firehouse experience!"

"This is a nice Mediterranean café with decent food, but don’t expect anything too exciting. Prices are a bit high, but it's reasonable for a local spot in the center of the village. They offer good juice, coffee, and brunch options, though they face tough competition from trendier places nearby. The standout dish we tried was the chicken salad on bogur (as shown in the picture with carrot juice). While the long-time employees may come off as a bit grumpy, they are usually quite pleasant."

"We were expecting very good food and service after seeing so many nice reviews. The meal was disappointing. Starters not seasoned enough (we had the aubergine and prawn cocktails which was a bit better). The mains definitely shouldn't cost that much. Lamb was nearly £30 and portion was like for a kid. Nothing special. At that price we were expecting a wow. The beef was definitely better but still very small portion and dry inside. The only good thing was the sauce, which again didn't save the whole meal. Paid £3 for a coke and it was not even half a pint. Service was average. Nice but sometimes they came to the table twice just to serve one item. Overall, would definitely not recommend. Too expensive for the quality and quantity. Also, the menu on their Google was the old one, where the lamb was £15 (which it should be). So be careful, go to their website to see the updated menu where a lot of dishes are not there anymore and all of them almost double.
