"Hoi Polloi is a cool retro/hipster place to eat with 70's retro design. So if your criteria for a good restaurant is a modern/updated flashing design, Hoi Polloi is not the place for you. We came for dinner and we were left with a big smile on our faces. The selection on the menu is nice, though it's definitely not one of these menus that take you hours to read, leaving you confused with endless options, and still there's enough selection for everyone. The food was great, nice portions, well made. Hospitality was great and the staff was handy in recommending drinks. We really enjoyed our dinner. Thanks for the experience."

"Firstly I want to say there is so much that deserves praise here smiling front of house/receptionists/wonderful floor staff managers constantly observing everything going on watching the floor/drinks waiters constantly topping up water replenishing wine etc/beautiful breathtaking surroundings attention to...detail immaculate furnishings everything is spot on…..but the food. The ‘occasion of the place’ well makes up for this BUT from the price point the food needs to also be perfection. This starts as any good chef knows with seasoning bland doesn’t cut it at this level of dining. Nor does look-warm. It’s such a shame as I wanted to give the full 5-Star review but sadly it was the food in a restaurant of this standing that needs to be excellent) that let it down. We still had a wonderful evening experience but the kitchen needs to ‘step up’ in line with everything else that shines here. There are so many very good dining establishments close by that I wouldn’t be rushing back just yet."

"This was the most recommended place for afternoon tea from our London locals that we know- and it certainly lived up to our expectations for the experience. The Wolseley is known for its afternoon tea and overall environment it eludes. We were greeted by a doorwoman who directed us to the hostess and we were promptly seated for our reservation. The service was quick and for tea was wonderful. Overall the sandwiches and biscuits were good, however, I was not necessarily a fan of the desserts. I will say they are very accommodating with allergies and that was very nice. Afternoon tea per person costs around 44.95 euros and it comes with a tea pot of tea with your choice and a tower with hand sandwiches, 3 biscuits, and a variety of pastries/desserts."

"Supposedly Butlers restaurant in the Chesterfield Hotel is known as a fine dining restaurant but in actuality it is a huge, mismanaged disappointment in almost every respect. One is at first we were shocked to see one half of the nicely appointed dining room permanently closed and out of service. We now understand after experiencing the Butlers food and service, it is apparent the regularly dining public is staying away. Why? Well to just name a few of the startling inferior aspects of the Butlers..... First let me assure the reader our traveling family was expecting a well prepared and well served expensive meal which was our goal. A goal we had no problem in fulfilling elsewhere in renowned London restaurants. Caesar salads were served with zero dressing with no attempt to reconcile this lack despite bringing it to the attention of the otherwise friendly but poorly trained staff. Most of our party of eight ordered salads but half of them came 15-20 minutes after the others were delivered. Some main dishes were barely warm and the sauce for some seemed to be nothing but plain unadulterated bouillon or Vegemite. and the accompanying potato mash was totally unheated. Plus after pointing this out and waiting 15 minutes for a warm mash, they served lukewarm mash again. One of our party wanted tequila on the rocks in a salt rimmed glass. The maîtresse de was dumbfounded and said just use the sale on the table which is impossible to do in a filled glass. There is much more lacking at Butlers, but suffice it to say avoid Butlers like the plague. I take no joy in reporting this and merely wished for an upscale and happily memorable dinner."

"I took my mother to the Two Sisters restaurant for her birthday last Sunday. We were immediately greeted and informed about the brunch options (i.e. buffet versus brunch specials and other adjustments, such as turkey bacon instead of pork). I think this is a great place for a relaxed brunch and definitely for a mother-daughter date. We loved the food and the service. We drove to a Groupon and will definitely drive again without the Groupon. Worth it."

"Absolutely adore this place. The Parlour is friendly and welcoming to all: whether a celeb (favourite haunt of David Walliams), or dropping in for refreshment as an exhausted tourist in the heart London. Or a regular, like my family and friends. Divine food (not cheap, but worth it) and the best teas (obviously) and hot chocolate in the world (and I 'm a hot choc connoisseur. The free mini icecreams with coffee are such a treat. Staff are fun and atmosphere great. Tell them if it 's your birthday and the wonderful Boon (if on duty) will come over and sing Happy Birthday. Just awarded (aug 23) an 'expert 's choice award '. Full disclosure my daughter worked here on a gap year, which is how I came to know about the Parlour (despite being a Londoner)."

I find sometimes that the service at frankie and benny can generally be met and missed, but tonight I couldn't blame him. we were supervised by a series of servers and all of them were so friendly and polite. great value for money, as we had a good idea about the app. I thought I was only able to use 1 credit card for 2 free starters, but the waitress knew I had ordered a glass prosecco, and recommended that I could use this credit card too. excellent value for money in the children's menu."

"Although we have been to F and Bs before we were disappointed this time round. Firstly the attachment highchair for my son, although the right size and nice to have him at the table was quite dirty. As it was made of canvas it would be hard to clean and did have a smell to it. The restaurant itself was very noisy and we had to really shout to hear each other at our table. The service however was good. Polite and prompt. However most disappointingly was that my wife discovered an inch long metal shard in her food! Staff apologised and made some fresh food but understandably she wasn’t too keen to eat any more and I was concerned what my children had eaten as this had a similar spaghetti dish. I would certainly think again before rebooking. Shame"

"I wanted to make a review because this place has changed quite a bit and felt the need to share. I'll split it into sections. Food: Nachos/ Nachos were good, problem is the portions are tiny between 3 adults we maybe had 5 tortillas each. Imagine taking 15 tortillas from a Doritos bag and that's your portion. Bit of a joke. loaded fries/ I had these fries which was between 6 7 pound mark they came with some toppings. I expected it to be loaded, but nothing special about it at all. Another tiny portion. southern fried burger/ my partner had this and looked the as you'd get in the spoons. Spoons is actually better than this. For something so expensive you'd expect a bit more quality. fajitas/ her sister had the fajitas and it looked nice. Again a few small bits of sliced chicken and some dips. The profit mark up on the food must be amazing. For over 17 quid for some small sliced chicken and a few mini wraps. Its taking liberties drinks/ we had 2 Pina coladas and 1 Paloma. Paloma was decent, the Pina colada was average at best. They have changed recipe and it came with ice but thick small pieces. This drink used to come blended and more of a frozen type cocktail. Service I mean it was ok but very basic. Our server had as much enthusiasm as a potato. Leaning on the table while taking our order. She looked like she hated being there. Some people should not be in hospitality. They did do a check back from the manager and the manager bought the food out. I was so disappointed in the Nachos I was going to refuse to pay for them. But we did anyway. Both me and my partner have worked in hospitality for a long time and we know the industry quite well. when food quality is average at best and price is high. This is not a good sign. We used to like coming here the portions were bigger the drinks were better, the service was better. The food was better. I don't know what happened but I won't be returning. If you want a decent burger head to 7bone just along the way. Way better food and portions. Should of known not to go. The place is always quiet but eh oh. Hope you find my review helpful guys. If your in Camberley look at other options as this is not the best place to eat. Thanks"

"Despite reserving a table for four two days ahead of time, we were informed upon arrival that we would have to wait 20 to 30 minutes for our table. I waited for 25 minutes with my elderly mother and three-year-old daughter, but the table was still unavailable. Other patrons mentioned they had been waiting for 45 minutes. Eventually, we decided to go next door to Friendly Phil's, where we were seated within five minutes in a much nicer and better-organized environment. Overall, our experience at Frankie and Benny's was terrible; it was clear they had overbooked and the staff couldn’t manage the situation. I won’t be returning."

"The attention to detail from the staff in respect to allergies is exceptional. A great range if foods for vegans vegetarian and meat eaters alike. "The food in this Frankie and Benny's is probably the best I've had. Even better than the London restaurants. The BUT is that the service lets it down.. it's very slow. I totally understand that it gets busy and we unfortunately went at a very...busy time, it just seems like the place is very under staffed and Its not fair on the staff that are working their butts off trying to serve and keep everyone happy in a huge packed out restaurant. Our waitress was lovely, although very clearly stressed and running around like a headless chicken all evening she still had a smile on her face and still kept a sense of humour. She was very welcoming and friendly sadly we didn't get her name so I can't give a shout out. Back on to the food it was incredible. SO nice! We shared a started of Mozzarella sticks and meat balls Al Forno, the sauce was really well made, full of flavour, definitely would recommend. (pork meatballs not beef though, just a heads up). The main course came, piping hot and again, full of flavour. Probably the best burger i've had in a while. I hate when you get served a beef burger and its dry. This was defintely not dry it was lovely. Can't comment on dessert because we didn't have time as we were heading over to watch a movie at cineworld and we were just too full from the starter and main courses. The portion sizes were just right. The cocktails were really good too. We also had a shot of Limoncello, which was suggested by our waitress. I enjoyed, sadly my boyfriend found it a bit hard to swallow lol. Will 100% be returning. We had a great evening. Thank you."
