"Table booked for 5:30. It was originally 6 but due to a private event and having to leave at 8 the start time was pushed to 5:30. This was a Christmas meal and we had all pre ordered our food. The starters came at about 6:15. No major issues (vegan starters had to be requested as never showed up) Mac and cheese bites were great though. The main did not start getting put out until 7 which when you are having three courses and told to leave by 8 this is where things get problematic. The majority of the food was cold Luke warm and then they also ran out of gravy… weird when you have pre ordered all of your food. 7:30 and plates were cleared and desert brought out at about 7:40. This is where it was a diasaster. Some of the desert options were sold out… again when you pre order you kind of don’t expect this. Secondly, the deserts were a mixture of Luke warm and stone cold. The cookie apple pie. Some came out warm, some came out stone cold. The price for this was about £12 which you can’t complain too much but really, having the food you ordered and warm is kind of all you expect at a minimum."

"My friend and I stopped by this restaurant on a Saturday night for a nice meal and some wine. Everything was fantastic. After we finished eating, a live singer started performing and he was amazing, so we stayed for the night. We had a great time, the atmosphere was lovely, and the staff were friendly. We will definitely come back for the live music."

"Popped in for lunch yesterday, the place was reasonably busy but certainly not full. Sat down and picked out sandwiches from the menu. The bottom bar was closed which seemed odd as it’s the main bar but I made my way to the open top bar. Despite there only being one person in front of me it took forever for the very grumpy looking waitress to complete the order. I was clearly stood in front of her with a menu in hand yet instead of letting me know at that point that there was at least an hours wait for food, left me to queue up. After eventually getting to the front I gave my table number to be told bluntly that food would be over an hour. I didn’t fancy waiting an hour for a sandwich so left at this point. The staff didn’t seem at all bothered and if anything made you feel like an inconvenience. I pop in here fairly regularly for a drink and generally like the place however hadn’t eaten here for several years after having a very mediocre meal last time I ate there. With this experience it’s unlikely I’ll be trying again. I’m not sure what the point of having a really big venue is if you can’t cater to the people it holds."

"Shocking experience out for a friends birthday. We chose to meet here at 1700 Saturday, we met with around 15 of us. Was all happy and in good spirits and after a couple of hours and several drinks in the manager came over and asked us to quieten down. It's not like we were a group of lads out on a stag doo we were all with our wives/girlfriends and there was probably 4 or 5 different conversations going on Spent a couple of hundred quid between us easy to be treated like idiots! Place is pretty run down, no people skills, expensive and nothing special. Won't ever be returning!"

"I've lived around here for years, and this used to be the sort of place where you got what you paid for. It was not flashy or high-quality, but it was a solid, old-fashioned boozer where you could get a cheap ale and some pub grub while watching the football. Now you don't even get that. In the last few months, new management has wrecked what little quality this pub had. It's constantly understaffed (sometimes just one person serving a full bar), the kitchen has been permanently closed, they have barely half the drinks on tap most days, and it seems like you need a degree in electrical engineering to use the speaker system, because not one member of the team ever knows how to change the feed. It doesn't help that staff turnover is turning over like a washing machine (obviously they're as unhappy as we loyal customers are). It was never fancy to start with, but now it has really gone down the pan, and it shows because people who used to come here all the time now go elsewhere. Meanwhile, the prices just go up and up. I know this isn't the fault of the people who do their best working there; it's the management's problem. Sadly, if you're after anything more than your third-choice drink served very slowly by underpaid and undervalued staff who don't want to be there anymore than you do, then go to the Chequers instead, a great pub on Walthamstow High Street. It's a bit dearer, but they do good food, it's cosier, the atmosphere is always fun, and they have multiple screens where you can watch live sports with commentary. I waited a long time before posting this review, because I wanted to give the new era a chance over several visits, but it just ain't working."

"I used to visit The Waldorf occasionally, especially when I had an office on Piccadilly. Then it was closed for a while (refurb' and Covid , however recently I got a surprise gift from the pubco of a round of drinks for six, so as I was intending to meet a group of friends for drinks before Xmas I made a booking. The choice of drinks was limited, but who looks a gift horse in the mouth! The staff were very helpful and things all went off smoothly, despite the pub being very busy (as one would expect on a Friday before Xmas . There were three real ales (the included Doom Bar had all gone (NO alternative offered and the difficult to keep Timothy Taylor Landlord was in excellent condition. There was a short but good menu. Prices were typical of city centre pubs and bars, at just over £5 per pint. Alas, whilst the refurb had significantly improved the pub, muzak, lots of people and a lack of soft surfaces made it nigh impossible to hold a conversation with more than one other person at once, even after we moved to a corner. Reluctantly we moved on to the nearby Hilton (our usual haunt every month or two , so whilst very grateful for the offer, as a promotion it was unsuccessful. We are likely to try again though on a weekday evening in a month or so."

"Garbage went in Sunday 7thJuly. Stuck to floor stuck to bar and table. Glasses hung up over bar looked like they were placed there after someone had finished there drink. Waited at bar young girl strolled over and said do want something lol . Ordered two cocktails vile . No orange and Prosecco flat in cocktail all soda water. Pints watered down . Pub looks okay on first impressions but not once in maybe why it wasn’t busy. No atmosphere. Staff looked happy to be there too lol . Can’t comment on food didn’t risk it. Such a shame."

"really authentic Thai food, in the beautiful environment of a day florist, so plants and flora everywhere. the service and attention are very good, but eating is really top drawer. so delicious and very well presented, beautifully balanced dishes. we had meiang phuket (drilled garnels on cha pruu leaves) which were super, thai squid, which was very nice, som tam papaya salat, which was about as exact as any eive ever had in bangkok, and easy the best eive had in london, gai yang gorlea (married cheefs with kokosnuss and curefa it can get to do so even if they book, they may have to wait a little, and it is a little expensive also (all up (1 haupt 4 small plates,) 1 tear, cracker and 5 small beer £105,) but it was both worth the price, and have to wait outside for 15 minutes. I'll be back. if I can afford it!"

"The restaurant is great for vegetarians with their accommodating menu options. The service is decent. The rice in the rolls was a bit too mushy for my liking. Disappointingly, they did not serve rolls with ginger."

"I had always wanted to visit Persia Hove. I often walk past and just admire the menu. I wasn't disappointed with my first visit here during the Eat out to Help out scheme. The food was absolutely sublime and I couldn't fault anything put in front of me. The Waiter was happy to recommend items on the menu and the service was sharp. I encourage anyone to try this place out. Caters for dietary requirement too, with a broad menu and a true, fine taste of Persia!"

"Family style Japanese restaurant with exceedingly high all round standard and authenticity in London. Some may find the menu is not overly comprehensive but this is exactly what a fine Japanese restaurant would operate only focusing the best they could offer. If you want to visit this restaurant make sure you have reservation and be punctual as this is also a fine tradition of Japanese restaurant."
