Toasty bread with melted cheese, a classic comfort.

"we went to see the second lions test that had booked a table online. but at the arrival, their booking system had contrived to delete our booking so that our table was not ready. the situation was saved by cool thinking workers phoebe. she apologised, gave us a soaked arbatto and took our orders. the situation was not helped by the door personnel who refused to show my friend (who had made the booking) was legitimate to show despite him the booking confirmation. well made phoebe!"

"Don't bother with the burgers at this restaurant. I'm sure they're delicious, maybe even the best in the area. But if you want a recommendation, try their hotdog. It's truly amazing with the best flavors you can find anywhere. Pair it with one of their rich, creamy milkshakes, and you'll see why I think this combo is the best fast food option around."

"The atmosphere in the restaurant was casual and inviting, perfect for families or friends looking for a relaxed meal. The staff was friendly and efficient, making our dining experience enjoyable. I would definitely recommend Five Guys to anyone looking for a satisfying and tasty meal. It's a great spot for a quick bite to eat with friends or family."

"£25 For 1 fry up breakfast, 1 poached egg on toast and 2 pots of tea is rather excessive, the fry up breakfast consisted of 1 sausage, 1 bacon rasher, 1 egg, 1 black pudding, mushrooms, a small pot of beans, 1 slice of toast. Not enough milk given for 2 pots of tea had to ask for more. The staff were welcoming enough although did get asked a few times if everything was OK. Won't be going back at those prices."

"After reading so many mixed reviews, I was careful about eating in pea porridge, but it didn't have to have been. in consideration of the fact that the restaurant is raised in a prominent residential area of the market city, it goes without saying that it would not...be possible to have a parking space, but there are many parking spaces close to it. the ambiente was warm and extremely welcoming. the personal was friendly and courteous and could not be mistaken at all, the service was excellent. eating was absolutely amazing and I have never tasted such aromen that were perfectly mixed together. from huge olives and flatbread small plates to lamb kofta with tzatziki and fish soup starters to venison and wild bass with a selection of beautiful desserts it was all perfect. it was not necessary to be aside courts and the personal was really helpful when deciding whether to have side needs (here never eaten before) I am not sure why people write such negative reviews and it seems that people are confusing on what a michelin star is based: the quality of the ingredients, cooking techniques and, above all, taste. we found the whole experience perfect and thank them pea porridge for so amazing culinary crafts we will definitely be back!"

"Meltmongers had a soft open and has now closed until 13th May. This is the highly anticipated second location for Meltmongers in Edinburgh. I could finish this review by just saying these are the best cheese toasties you will ever have but that seems to undersell how awesome the food available here is. For a truly gourmet grilled cheese experience come along and choose from one of the many different varieties of cheese toasties, which they call Melts. Melts include fairly basic Cheese to Tuna through to Ham and Egg and even burger themed Melts. For the sweet tooth there is a Nutella and Banana Melt. Prices are more than reasonable for a large grilled cheese experience and a Melt by itself makes a decent lunch. For those with a large appetite there are also sides available including amazing chips. Top tip, don’t miss out on the cheese sauce. Highly recommended."

"Came in for a work birthday. Since we had a wheelchair user in the party, I called first to ask if everything would be accessible for us. The team were so kind to make special arrangements to suit us, we all had no issues sitting down together as a large party. The food went down especially well. We all noted the generous portions and great taste. There is a wonderful selection, catering to all tastes. Since the place has a strong Italian influence, it’s no surprise that the coffee was delicious. They cover all allergens and dietary requirements without exception. One of the best things about coming is being served by Sid. He’s so lively and friendly, and undoubtedly goes the extra mile to make sure everyone’s having a great time. He’s also really funny. Best service and brunch in Glasgow, hands down."

"After searching for a place for lunch with gluten and dairy free options, we found the Lemon Tree as a place to go on our first trip to Penrith. We met up with a friend for coffee/tea there, and decided to go back for lunch. The staff were very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable on their allergens, even pointing out that the tartare sauce had cream in after it was ordered. Two of us had the steak, vegetables and fried potatoes, and one had the sea-bass, vegetables and boiled potatoes, all off the specials menus for the day. It was nice to have a choice of mains for the gluten and dairy free, and the food was all freshly cooked and hot. The gluten and dairy free orange and almond cake was home made and delicious, as was the home made fruit bread and butter (this could also have been gluten free as an option). For drinks, the home made lemonade was amazing, as was the oat milk latte, and the tea was a generous pot of strong brew with separate water served. We would very happily go back there again any time we are in Penrith."

"The burgers at this restaurant are delicious, but the prices are high. Despite this, Five Guys is definitely worth a visit for a tasty meal. The fries are amazing, especially with Cajun salt. The drink machine offers a variety of Coca Cola combinations. The burgers are on par with those from any fast food restaurant. Two people can expect to spend around £30. During the COVID-19 pandemic, employees are exceptional with well-managed queues and tables being cleaned and sanitized promptly. Customers need to scan a QR code for contact tracing before being seated. The food is just as delicious as before the pandemic, with the main noticeable difference being the low foot traffic in the restaurant. Overall, Five Guys is a well-run establishment with good COVID-19 protocols in place. The only downside is having to wait before being seated for a meal."

"The restaurant is exceptionally friendly and the rooms, although slightly worn, are very clean and spacious. I stayed here on my way to Edinburgh, which is only a 50-minute drive away. The food was good, especially the breakfast fry up. What really sets this place apart is the incredibly friendly and welcoming staff. I highly recommend staying here. "After seeing reviews on Tripadvisor we decided to book this restaurant. And we are so pleased we did. We were greeted with a smile had the menu explained to us. You could either have 2 or 3 courses. We opted for 2 as didn’t have room for a dessert. We both thoroughly enjoyed our starters (garlic prawns caprese salad) mains (rib eye steak beef curry) everything was delicious piping hot. I do think that the acoustics to the softly played music could be improved. This however didn’t spoil our evening at all. This was by far our best meal in Swanage."

"A romantic, yet affordable meal. I could not believe that the baklava was so reasonably priced, and was still so tasty I even endured jaw pain (because of an underlying condition) just so I could eat all the baklava, and I wouldn’t do that for poor quality baklava."

"OK OK, so we went in hungry, and everything tastes better when you're hungry! We we're looking for a decent place to have a good feed and a chat. We were not expecting the huge amount of burger choices on the menu, the delicious sides (try the barbecue chicken bites), the array of options for fries or even the above average bottle of wine. The food was delicious and filling. It's not the cheapest burger place in town, but if you are looking for high quality, this is the place. Our server was pleasant and knowledgeable about the food, even asked the kitchen to create me something bespoke. The only shame about the visit is that we didn't have space for a dessert!"
