"Ive visited praised this cafe so many times and was always my go to place for breakfast. I work overseas so cant visit as much as Id like to but today was a real disappointment. It was really busy which it always is however...since the outside seating area has been built, I just dont think staff can handle the amount of servings on a nice day aswell as takeaways. We got a seat inside next to the counter after the previous party had left, I asked 3 times if they could clean my table, then on the final time of asking, I asked for the cloth and cleaned it myself. I opted for the full breakfast 9.80) and when It came I honestly thought it was a kids portion. 1 sausage, 1 rasher of bacon, 1 poached egg, about 20 beans, 1 slice of black pudding mushrooms (See photo) and the toast was clay cold. The personnel are a great bunch of staff, I just think the owners have potentially lost concentration of the importance of customer service over money seats profit. I did speak face to face with the cashier when she asked me if everything was OK, and she said shed pass on my comments to the kitchen. Please go back to how you were! breakfast was still tasty by the way, just a minuscule portion"

A lovely little spot for brunch, on the coast! I hope the seating outside remains permanent, as it’s great for a coffee in the sun!

Absolutely delicious food. Every item on the vegan and vegetarian breakfast is super tasty. The coffee is always hot and really nice. As are the selection of hot teas (mulled apple/cider is my fave)

bad menu choices and eating bad tasting. waits longer than expected. the food was dried without butter and boiled eggs. eating on tables outside with birds only eating out unclear tables. If I hadn't eaten, I'd take off my lunch or decide to eat in the caffe. my advice would not disturb, many other beautiful places around. family of 3 visited juni 2022. View menu

Came here one morning with the dog after a walk down tynemouth beach, perfect sunny weather so we sat outside on the new tables Amazing May I say the food was fantastic I had a full English because why not, my partner had Avo...on sourdough with poached eggs! Staff were really friendly, was Erin that served us at the counter she was lovely. We will be back along with our dog, heard they might open on evenings so that could be interesting.

Went here this morning for breakfast. I read the reviews on here before I went, so I had high expectations. But when i got there and eat I was disappointed. Food was just ok had better and had worse coffee was ok and staff were...nothing to get excited about either in fact I asked for brown sauce and got red lol. Would I go again if the big question and i would probably say no I would try else where or even go to spoons their breakfast is just as good

visited on Friday morning for brunch while visiting family group of 6 of us sitting outside. beautiful coworkers, really delicious brunch and some different elements on the menu compared to regular brunch courts. between us we had the bootshof high, eier. benedikt, avocado on toast and the plant-based plate (picture). not a cheap place 30 for 2 breakfasts, two coffees and an orange juice), but it is worthwhile for a tasty bite! (you could also make it much cheaper by ordering a bacon sandwich, or eier on toast for example). would recommend 100%! View menu

they were now twice for breakfast and lunch. at both visits the food was homemade and beautiful. had avocado on toast with chopped eggs to lunch today, and it was very good. the coffee is also very good. I haven't tried the cake yet, but. I look forward to it. the service could be a bit faster, but it was in order, as I wasn't in a hurry and the waiters are helpful. there are in regular people with their dogs here, as it is very close to the beach. there are some parking directly behind the caffe, which is free. I managed to get the week's place, but I expect it to be full at the weekend. I am definitiw back.

Let’s start with the bad bits. I wasn’t too keen on the coffee but that was just me. Now the rest of it…OH MY WORD THIS IS SPECIAL! We found the boat yard today by pure chance and went in for some lunch. We took...a small table in the window and ordered a Full English with haggis and a Bacon Stotty with egg and hash brown. The drinks were on the table in no time at all and the food followed shortly. There wasn’t a huge plate of food and I would suggest a full English ought to have a few beans, but the quality of the ingredients and the perfect cooking of them was mind blowing. The sausage was perfect, the poached egg gorgeous and the haggis, outstanding. My other half enjoyed every mouthful...
