"Our visit to this restaurant was disappointing. It was very quiet, with only about 15 people eating. My colleague and I shared a Tomahawk steak, which ended up being more expensive than we were told. We had to wait 20 minutes for our starters, and then another 50 minutes for our main course. When it finally arrived, we had to send it back to the kitchen to be reheated because it had been sitting out and gotten cold. Our waiter Matteo started off nice but became less helpful once it came time to pay the bill. The bill included a 12.5% service charge, which I was considering asking to have removed. Overall, I would not choose to visit this restaurant again."

"A wonderful interlude after our show was cancelled. Joppe was so attentive and friendly and the rest of the staff were great too. The bathroom was clean and spacious and environmentally friendly with proper hand towels. The drinks menu had everything you could need and everything was easy to find. They use paper straws. Wonderful tapas snacks and beautiful decor. I can really recommend their infused gins. This bar made us want to book the adjacent hotel next time we visit. Really great bar."

"When I asked for the bar snacks menu, I was sent from one person to another just to get a menu, only to be told they couldn't find it and might be out of menus altogether. The quality of the dishes was disappointing. The chicken was extremely dry and served lukewarm, while the crispy squid was just a soggy piece of fried squid that lacked flavor. It's disheartening to see this, and unfortunately, I left as a dissatisfied customer."

"Great place went there for a Sunday brunch with the kids and some friends. I usually don't expect much from a weatherspoon but I was surprised in a good way. "The restaurant is lovely, but our experience was disappointing. There were 6 of us and the food was not good. The lamb kebabs and lamb chops were tough and unpleasant to eat. The service was also poor, with the waiter only attending to us when called. After paying a high price for poorly cooked food, we decided to never eat at hotels again. We had much better meals at other local restaurants such as Sawil and Marie Venna."

"We are a family of three and spent the summer at Hillthwaite, where we had dinner several times. Our stay, the meals, and the service were all excellent. Since then, we've purchased a holiday home in Windermere, but we will continue to visit the restaurant for dinner because the food and service are simply exceptional. The reception and restaurant staff remembered our first visit and were very warm and welcoming. I would definitely recommend it for a stay, dinner, or both!"

"So I find this place a little confusing. You get a bagel which costs about 10p wholesale (if that), you add a slice of lettuce, 2 strips of bacon and some tomato, squeeze on a teaspoon of mayonnaise and then charge £6.50. The queues are out the door and you are making 400% profit margins. For me its just a little too expensive for what it is, but good luck guys you certainly have struck gold, not sure the concept would work as well up North were people count there pennies but the affluent Brighton Crowd cant get enough."

"I went on Friday night for the first time in almost two years with my usual co-administrators to the king's." I was quite overwhelmed to find the atmosphere intact, everyone relaxed, no mandat nonsense, just do what a pub is to get a table. Relax down and with a drink. to go to a bar and not speak through a plastic screen. the personal was so inviting even after so much time! I really felt humble, these people here really invest in their customers. munchables were the usual what they see is what they get and very satiating standard, delivered fast and hot. I am so glad to be back and hope to visit the king again as regularly as we have done before."

"So we visited Nando’s Manchester Fallowfield Branch for my daughters birthday and was the worst restaurant experience ever. We were left waiting for our food for well over 1 hour with people who came after us getting there food 30 minutes before us and it wasn’t even that busy. So after waiting 40 minutes then asking where our food was, then being told it would be 20 minutes, so looks like they hadn’t even taken my order properly but not being honest about it. Then they had the audacity to ask how my meal was when it finally arrived at which point I made my feelings abundantly clear. The manager then said he would come back to see me to get my feedback on paper but surprise surprise he didn’t bother to come. The food when it came was no where near the standard you would expect dry chicken overcooked. Paying somebody for this level of service is a joke and they should be ashamed of themselves. Honestly they ruined my daughters day and I will never ever be going back. Don’t bother with these guys looks like they no longer care about the customer and service far better places out there to spend your money. Well done Nando’s!"

"Scarborough flyer has always been one of our family’s favourite bars in Scarborough. Staff are always ‘top class’ and very helpful and obliging. However, we will never return to the pub due to their door staff who are complete and utter bullies! I witnessed a lovely looking family who I feel was targeted due to one of the females having a black child with her and her family. The door staff were aggressive, and trying to snatch a drink out of a young females hands in the group and telling them to leave. We were astounded by this behaviour because they had just arrived, and we were sat next to them and was unable to see any reason for the door staffs behaviour. Apparently, it was due to the young boy wearing trackies I must say the young boy was dressed very smartly) and the doorman said it was not allowed, however, there were no signs stating you could not wear track suit bottoms after a certain time this was 8pm in the evening. We personally believe they were being racist towards what appeared to be a very nice family. The family stated they were going to take the matter further and I offered my number to them if they needed a witness regarding the hostility showed by the bouncers!"

"Love nandos! We visit the southport nandos quite often and have never experienced a problem. Particularly like the veggie burgers but t'other half goes for the chicken. I personally don't like chicken, it's fowl... We always have a portion of the deliciously hot and spicy nuts washed down with a bottomless glass of coke. Never had the deserts, don't fancy them really. Like the open kitchen here. The spicy rice and garlic bread make for good, tasty sides as do the chips. The sauces are hot but lovely. Staff usually friendly but we have noticed quite a high turnover but suppose this happens in the trade. Some can be a bit aloof but what the heck! The food's always good!"

"We went along to take advantage of their reopening special offer of a free meal with a newspaper voucher. Right from the off, the staff were helpful and explained the deal and procedure. Three of us ordered steaks, a rare, medium rare, and medium. All three were cooked to perfection. The steaks were large and melt in the mouth. It's probably the best steak I have had for a very long time. Our fourth member had the bog standard pub grub....Balmoral chicken, which she ate and enjoyed too. Again, they did not insult with the portion size. Service was pretty quick and efficient, too. Wine ranged from just under £14 for the house to under 20 quid for a bottle.. Both were decent. As a bonus, by downloading and registering on their app, we got a free drink, and we even got a couple of desserts and a really good strong coffee, courtesy of guy who had a couple of vouchers he passed on to us. They didn't disappoint either OK, this won't happen every time, but as a promotion, it worked because they have gained 4 new customers. If they can keep up that standard of food and service, it will be our go-to for a pub grub night out. Interesting all the staff seemed to be men and no student staff. The weekend might be different, but honestly, they were so professional. A pleasant surprise nowadays."

"Have eaten here half a dozen times in the last year. Decided to do something different for Christmas Day lunch. It did not disappoint. Great mix of traditional and Polish elements. My wife has a number of food allergies and they are extremely supportive and helpful in recommending suitable dishes and even making small modifications to suit. "We went in last saturday for a meal and a couple of pints, it 's quite a regular thing. It was quite busy and we were lucky to get a table after waiting about 5 minutes. My partner went to order and was gone some time , 20 minutes or thereabouts. I figured she must be chatting to one of the staff as we always have a good laugh with them. Then my partner came to me slightly distressed , she was having trouble getting served even after 20 minutes stood at the bar. She was stood at the corner and the bar staff were seemingly only serving those at the front of the bar, even though my partner had been stood waiting to be served some 15 minutes before a lot of them. She shouted out to the barstaff ' are you serving '? The responded with 'you don 't get served any quicker by shouting ' and repeated this mantra style , trying to wind my partner up, which they did and regretably my partner told one of them to where to go. She realised this was wrong but she is registered disabled and in constant pain and can 't stand for long periods. She didnt want any favours for being disabled, she is too proud to ask for them. All she wanted was to be served when it came to her turn, which was clearly not happening. When I confronted the barman he said 'we don 't really serve here ' I said 'I know, I can see ' He then produced a ' Glass collection only ' placard, 20+ minutes too late. he said it was a non serving area even though there was a visa card machine there on the bar and we 've always been served there before without any problem . On our way out I just happened to look behind me to see 'Sydney ' a female member of the barstaff give the finger and saw her mouth ' off ' Now does anybody think a person like that should be working in the leisure industry ? All 3 of the barstaff were incompetent in my eyes and need a talking to or re-training. We went for a pleasurable night out, not aggro, we 're in our 60 's not yobs. We spent about £20, not a lot I know, we would have stayed longer and spent double that, still not a lot but every little counts. And as for bringing my grandkids here for a treat total spend £40+ I don 't think that 'll happen again. I see the pub wants to increase it 's taking by £2000 every week . . It ain 't gunna happen with abusive barstaff that you had on that night. Thank you. Brian. Ps I emailed and texted the manager to see if we could solve this issue amicably. NO REPLY which says a lot. Pps I hear Darleys do good meals."

"A menu that would give the bible a run for its money. Seriously give yourself some time to sit and read through this bad boy as it has some options to choose from plus this place gets busy and so you need to give yourself some time to peruse and choose!!! Love the cans of authentic Ting.... Grapefruit fizzy drink. Recommend the tapas menu which is a wonderful sharer to enjoy with someone. I picked 3 dishes and mh bestie picked 3 and we were absolutely stuffed afterwards. In fact couldn't finish all of the food which included big bowl of cheesey nachos, huge garlicky butterfly prawns and some pork tacos. Very delicious and yummy. I did need to help myself to a jug of water despite the restaurant being half empty but all is forgiven as I am fully able to hop up and grab this from the bar. We will be back to sample again. However avoid on a weekend as I have been sat for hours and this place supplies to Deliveroo who have jumped the queue and I found this frustrating."
