"Hard Rock Cafe Piccadilly Circus I can not fault anything with Hard Rock Cafe. I have visited on multiple occasions and the food has been exquisite on all visits. The food is always cooked to amazing standards that I would expect from Central London restaurants. On this occasion, I went for the nachos for starters. The portion size is defiantly more than enough for two people to share, they were excellent. For the main course I opted for the rack of ribs. They were cooked to perfections as per usual and served with a side of fries. Now onto dessert, the best part. At the time of writing this review, we were offered a free dessert when signing up for emails from Hard Rock Cafe, which we received. The free desserts was a small sundae, which was pleasant. We also ordered the chocolate brownie sundae, which in all honesty is enough for four people to share. It was enormous. The staff around the whole venue are very friendly and attentive, we decided to shop in the gift shop beforehand due to the fact that the table was a fourth five minute wait, which passed by very quickly. Our waitress was very kind and attentive and catered for all our needs. We decided to purchase a drink with a glass and when we left the restaurant section, the gift shop staff were really friendly and straight away showed us what glasses were available. Overall, I would highly recommend visiting Hard Rock Cafe Piccadilly Circus branch, definitely better than the Old Park Lane branch."

"Thursday 19th May 2022, my husband and I woke up to a hot and sunny day, so we decided to go out for the day to visit Yarborough House Books in the Shropshire town of Bishops Castle. My husband and I strolled round this pretty town taking lots of photographs of it its interesting buildings. We worked out way up the High Street to the top where we went to visit Yarborough House Books. My husband and I entered within and we mooched round the bookshelves. I did not find anything but my husband found another volume to his Oxford History of England Series, he purchased the book on ‘The Earlier Tudors’ By J.D. Mackie for the bargain price of six pounds, so he was very pleased. Yarborough House Bookshop also has a large stock of second hand classical recordings, which comprises around 4,000 CDs, with a particular emphasis on unusual repertoire, British and 20th century music including opera. The bookshop also has a small café attached, so after mooching round my husband and I indulged in a pot of tea and a latte coffee and a flapjack for my husband. Whilst I was there I found inspiration as I wrote a poem called ‘Home of The Fairy’. My husband and I also had the luxury to meet the owner Carol who moved from London over 40 years ago to start her bookshop in Bishops Castle, she was a very pleasant and warm lady. I read her the poem I had written and she asked me to send her a copy for the Bishops Castle website, I was very touched and honoured by this. If you like books and cakes then this is a nice place to visit if you are in the area."

"I went here for my birthday and I honestly wish I hadn't. From walking in, no one gave us service to take us to our table : the doorman from outside came in to find us our table even though there were 2 women at the front looking after one man, clearly seeing we were standing there. Our drinks came fine and the house white wine was actually really lovely. We ordered our food; my friend found hair in her chips and my other friend ordered a steak medium well and it came back medium rare, that is a huge difference. By this time our sides hadn't arrived either. They sent their meals back which meant we all ate at different times, I am a type 1 diabetic and took my insulin accordingly to my meal, it arrived but because I was so fixated on ensuring my friends' meals were ok I didn't realise that my Chicken Milanese was so rock solid, I had to then ask for a steak knife. More commotion happened because we'd now finished our drinks and wanted something for our meals and so my friend went to the bar to ask for some service as there was no staff around. By this time, I was upset that I couldn't eat let alone drink and had taken my insulin. We asked for the manager, who was so rude.He did not allow us to speak and kept getting defensive, to the point where my friends swore (in conversation, not at him) by which he took as we were swearing at him...he then said we were looking for a free meal. At which point I got really angry because I was not using my diabetes in vain to get a free meal if I didn't eat in time I would need an ambulance. I took out my insulin pen to prove it which I didn't need to. We asked for the bill, we asked him to bring it which he didn't. His waiter who was so lovely and listened to us brought us the bill with everything except my meal. We asked for it to be changed as we did not agree. They took my meal, wine and sides out. But we did not need this attitude or bad service. It was not even busy that night. Absolutely horrible experience."
