"We booked last minute, but are really happy that we did. The service was friendly and prompt, but not intrusive. The restaurant was very quiet with just a few other tables, so I can't say how it would be when busy. Beautiful decor and a varied menu. I had a delicious fish steak and my partner had steak, both well cooked and good portions. I finished with a Cambridge burning cream and my partner had tart Treacle (path too sweet for me, but he loved it). Basic wine through the glass just a few options for any color, better selection by the bottle. Managed to park outside, but places limited. We will definitely return and recommend."

The food, service, and value at this restaurant are excellent. The only thing that could be better is the décor.

A beautiful place of food was wonderful, also the vegan option was a wonderful dish and was very enjoyed. The service was great and the staff was very friendly. I would recommend this place with great delay.

Wanted to try somewhere new in Ely and decided on the Market Street Brasserie. Had a very pleasant lunch with my husband and mother. The food was very good indeed and we had a friendly welcome. Well priced too.

Food was cooked and presented OK but I ordered lamb cutlets but was served leg steaks. When questioned, the waitress told me they were cutlets but that they had removed the bones. I've never heard such rubbish!

The service was fast and the food was excellent! However, I was a bit disappointed that we only received four very small pieces of sourdough bread for £2.50. The main courses were outstanding and met my expectations.

The meal was a gift for My 50th birthday so choice of venue was limited. This was the only place locally that accepted the voucher. Having never been before we checked out the menu on the website and decided on our meals in advance. However we discovered on arrival that the menu was out of date and prices were different so not helpful. The place was dead quiet with only one other couple eating on a Saturday night! Two waiting staff, one training the other meant everything took longer and was a bit disjointed. Food when arrived was better than expected and was very good and filling. Drinks were expensive.

"a great place in ely. I felt instantly from friendly staff who sit in a beautiful table in the corner, I was so perfect on my own to get fucked away, but I had a good look at everything that went on to keep me occupied. the place is not what I would call instagrammble. they will not find young fashionable people here and it is better for it. it is beautifully decorated, crisp and fresh and feels inviting, more like visiting a friendly house than a stuffy restaurant. the visitors are here to enjoy their evenings with good food and friends, not to make pictures for likes. I enjoyed my bratpork with sweetness. very moist with a lot of crispy cracks. also the last of the heavy, which is always a care in the south. a nice choice. my chocolate mousse was amazing, hadn't had one since brunette. the charges too. with a beautiful coffee. the only thing we left was the starter. only a handful of pouched salad with some tiny pieces of goat cheese and two walnuts. there was a vague drizzling of an art dressing. certainly not worth the price, initially very leave. but everything else was wonderful, plus the suppenings I saw going into other tables looked out and tasted tasty. I must mention the break of the evening. I never felt rushed, everyone had a good break in between, but not as long as I wait. I hate these days, how everything is so eager, pure and out. it was nice to relax and enjoy my food and wine. thanks to many for a real culinary experience. Hopefully if I'm in the opposite I'll visit again and friends this time."
