"We went out as a family for lunch. It was not overly busy in there and we had pre booked. We had to wait over 15 minutes for our drink order to be taken. We then asked for them to take our food order to try and speed things up. There only seemed to be 2 front of house staff working and service was very slow. The menu was quite limited, and 2 of the main dishes were not available. We ordered two steaks, and chicken and chips. We asked what one of the dishes were (bravas fries) and the waiter didn’t know so he asked the other man, and the description given was “it’s just the fries with tomato in a tapas dish” what came was potatoes with a spicy tomato sauce covering the potatoes. We waited over an hour and 10 minutes for our food to arrive. I appreciate that the food is cooked fresh, but service was very slow. The people on the table next to us also commented twice to staff about how long things were taking. When we finally got our food, it came out in dibs and drabs, one dish had been forgotten about and we had to remind the waiter for this. We were not given steak knives so we had to ask for them. We were also not asked if we wanted any condiments like salt and pepper. The food was served to us at our table with the waiter passing the plates to us. Yet when we finished the other man asked us to stack all of our plates up for him! We eat out quite often, I know that there are restrictions in place due to Covid but as yet I have never been asked to help clear the table. Overall an experience I do not wish to repeat."

Food was excellent. Cocktails were delicious. Service was phenomenal (Johnny was our server and we wish we were rich so that we could tip him the millions he deserves). Atmosphere was fantastic. I genuinely cannot praise this place enough!

Covid Safe, Thoroughly enjoyed the food, so tasty and plenty of it! Even had a few cheeky cocktails. Can’t wait to return. I cannot work out why this restaurant isn’t right at the top of the trip advisor list for Ely? If you haven’t been go!

We had a lovely experience at 11a. Fantastic service, staff were very polite and attentive throughout. Cocktails were superb. Starters of aubergine and hallomi were very tasty but steak for our mains were overdone but all in all, a good meal. Would definitely return.

Had an amazing 3 course meal with cocktails on Saturday 15th August. Food was delicious, well cooked and presented. Ditto for the cocktails. Staff were lovely (if a bit slow but that’s to be expected in the current environment given the limitations on the number of staff allowed in the kitchen for social distancing to be maintained) View menu

During our holiday in the Ely area, we chose 11A as our restaurant of choice in town. The service and food were excellent, reasonably priced, and we were impressed by the personality of the male duty manager throughout the evening. The cocktails were great, and they had very good social distancing measures in place. We highly recommend this restaurant to anyone local or visiting the area.

5 of us ate here today. We arrived at 12.30 and told the staff we needed to be finished by 2pm. It took the staff over half an hour to get us all drinks and our straightforward meals didn’t arrive till 1.45. The staff were fairly offhand and explained that they had other diners....yes they did, 2 more tables. Heaven help them if they are full. The food was ok but not a patch on that served when they did tapas. Like the staff we won’t be a hurry to return.

Not sure what happened on our visit. Went for lunch on their limited (but still good) menu. it was fairly quiet (3 other tables), but service was very slow, and the waiter seemed very clumsy around the COVID rules, and gave a very poor response when we told them we were in a 'rush ' (we only had an hour and a half). Drinks were slow, the waiter was back and forward forgetting things. Food was generally good, but nothing amazing. I 'm sure we just had an unlucky experience, and would be happy to perhaps try again with their tapas menu. View menu

I had a fantastic dining experience at 11a as always. After a stressful day at the office, the Charcuterie board and cold bottle of white wine were exactly what I needed. My friend ordered the pork board, which looked just as amazing. I indulged in a sharing board and was impressed by the generous portion for only £15. The desserts were equally delicious and just the right amount. The new boards at 11a are incredibly tasty and I can't wait to try more. The staff were polite, the restaurant was clean and Covid-Secure. I highly recommend giving 11a a try. Hopefully, these photos will tempt you to visit!

I highly recommend 11A for lunch and drinks, despite the limited menu, the food was of excellent quality and the portions were generous. The service, while very attentive, was quite slow. We would have ordered more cocktails if it hadn't taken 15 minutes for our drink order to be taken and another 20 minutes to receive our drinks. However, the cocktails were very good. Unfortunately, the kitchen closed at 2:30 and we were unable to order from the dessert menu. I noticed another table enjoying afternoon tea at noon, which looked fantastic. It seems that 11A is missing out on an opportunity by closing the kitchen before most people would want to have tea. My suggestion is to keep the kitchen o...

"My friend kindly decided to take me another friend along to this her local pub for Xmas lunch on the 12th of December which we were all looking forward too, as we have eaten there before. Unfortunately on entering the pub it seemed quite cold as there was no open fire lite when we asked they told us they had run out of kindling, so we kept out coats on for sometime until we all warmed up. Then when we kindly asked for the menu unfortunately they had none of these as apparently they had ran out of ink for there printer so we then had to look at there written board on the wall, which had fish chips added to it. We were then told by the waitress they had no chips lol but you can have potatoes, unbelievable for a pub to run out of chips. When our meals arrived it was quite disappointing for a Christmas dinner the Yorkshire pud was completely flat, but you did get vegetables served separately which were quite a good variety even though there wasn’t lots. We then went onto order our deserts Once again to add disappointment they didn’t have any crème brûlée so the choice was just Xmas pud with brandy butter or ice cream. So one of my friends could only have ice cream as she’s gluten free who always fancies that on a cold day, me my other friend had the Xmas pud that was served in a pie dish which was not very appealing or professional looking it was served with custard not the brandy butter like the menu said. We did complain as my friends Xmas pud was also lukewarm they did kindly apologise warm it up. Because we complained they did take some of our bill. But I don’t think we will be visiting again anytime soon."
