"I ordered a ham mustard and sun-dried tomato bloomer. It arrived with no tomato. As the waitress had told us prior to ordering of a number of items that were not available due to no deliveries for the lock down I didn’t say anything as assumed this was the reason. When our plates were collected we were asked by another waitress if the food was ok. I made comment about the lack of tomato and how it would have been nice to have known before hand as I would have ordered something else. She went off and came back to advise she’d spoken to the chef who assured her 100% he’d put tomatoes in it. My response was I can assure you he didn’t and my friend also confirmed there was none. Again the waitress said the chef says he did, so he did. All but accusing me of lying. She was rude, unapologetic and her attitude was appalling. It was a shame as all the other staff were friendly and professional. There’s plenty of other pubs within that area . She and her attitude will certainly make me go elsewhere next time we are able to."

Waitress was very helpful and dealt with all our requirements straight away. Food took 40 minutes to arrive and the restaurant wasnt busy. Out of the six meals, we have to request items which were missed for 5 of the meals View menu

The restaurant was a bit too loud for me as I am deaf, so it was difficult to have a conversation with my friend. Despite this, we both agreed that the food was amazing. We will definitely be coming back again, hopefully for Christmas lunch.

The server was extremely attentive and attended to all our needs promptly. However, we had to wait 40 minutes for our food despite the restaurant not being busy. Additionally, we had to request missing items for five out of the six meals we ordered. View menu

The food was cooked to perfection, the staff were very polite and efficient. I felt when I booked the table that it was a bit pricy but thought what the hell it 's only once a year however it exceeded my expectations and thought it was very good value for money, It was that good I wanted to book for next year there and then!

The food was perfectly cooked, the staff was extremely polite and efficient. I initially thought the meal would be expensive when booking the table, but decided to go for it since it was just a once-a-year treat. To my surprise, the dining experience exceeded my expectations and I felt it was well worth the money. It was so enjoyable that I immediately wanted to make a reservation for next year!

"This review is based on my experience on the day, and could be different for you, but I doubt it. I kept being told about a Burrito bar in Southampton and that I should try it. Well I attended today, with the friends who told me about this place, and have to say I had, up to this point never had a Burrito in my life. Seen many programs showing them but never had I ever tried one. Followed what my friend did, and I got my burrito the way I wanted it to be. You walk in, you’re asked if you want a small or large (unsure if medium is available burrito. Then your problems start, but in a nice way. So many main options it can be mind boggling until you get your head around it. The staff were fantastic after I chosen my main meat/rice of tomato rice and shredded beef. I then moved on to the extras, sauces, chose a mild sauce many salad options and it was then prepared for eating (folded then wrapped in silver foil then payment. And I was ready to eat at the tables in the front part of the shop. Warning that prices vary dependent on the size and the meat you have as your filling. Mine with shredded beef with the rice and toppings I chose totaled £9.95. No complaints from me as the food was hot, tasty, held together by the silver foil, filling and worth every penny in my opinion. Pricing is no different to any local take away I suppose but the bigger the meat (to many to list hear, but from pulled meat to chunks of steaks you have the more expensive it is but it is filling and good value. If you are not a meat eater you could ask for a vegetarian burrito, made of rice and the vast vegetable additions. Cannot see that being an issue. You can do take away, eat in or delivery. They do other dishes which I did not even get to look at but I would say all pallets are catered for. You could always call in advance or check their website, Mexigo Southampton. I think there are other Mexigo branches around the local area as far as Maidstone if you google Mexigo. Don’t shoot the messenger as this was the first time I had visited this shop/chain and I was unsure as you are reading my review, but I was satisfied with what I chose, and think if you plan your selections well either there or via the website you will not be disappointed."
