"I'm not sure what this place wants to be. It was playing club music but in the surrounding of a fine dine establishment. To be fair the steak was really nice but felt the other dishes lacked imagination they were all quite similar. Finally I just felt it was all over priced for what was on offer."

"the growing opulence of South London has stretched to "trendy' streatham with new, high cost esseries, among which is this tapas bar with many backend sessions this place is gorgeous. great atmosphere, excellent (and charming) service and fantastic eating. I can't speak for the a la carte menu (yes,) but the tapas is very good, and the waiter has suggested how many dishes were enough so that we don't get over. by the way, timeout is correct that the ratatouille is a steh dish. also the sardines are highly recommended. garlic mushrooms were seasoned by solid portobello, properly baked, pimentos pardon tender with garlic, both the patatas bravas ad chorizo were plentiful cut for all plundering in the tapas, the salat was unexplainably flat, properly cooled, but not much more, and the patatas mutes lacked any seasoning in tomato sauce... also good value, with tapas for two and a bottle of wine come to £60, which is quite respectable by london prizes and worth every penny."

"had a nice family dinner with good choices for all including a child and a vegetarian. the two veggie burger options were great, haggis nachos fab and the salmon salad plentiful. the chips were excellent! only slightly left off was the pizza that had a little heavy base for our lust. beautiful clean toilets and covid safe with lots of space between tables. staff efficient and friendly! would definitely return and recommend everyone."

"This restaurant is truly underrated. The staff is outstanding and very friendly. The constant flow of young adults coming in and out hints at the delicious food being served. Despite the lack of customers dining in, I thoroughly enjoyed my meal each time I visited and always ended up with a large takeout container to bring home. Some of the curry dishes even taste better the next morning for breakfast. It's a bring your own (alcohol) and bring your own (cash) establishment, as they do not have a card machine. While there may be some questionable practices with their books, the food coming out of the kitchen is nothing short of delicious."

"Food was superb , Salmon was delicious and the P&P burger was cooked to perfection and ultra tasty. The service was fantastic, attended to as soon as we entered even though it was extremely busy and the drinks were brought to our table instantly. "We went for a family meal last Friday. Unfortunately there was a series of power cuts in the area which blacked out most of the nearby businesses, but somehow The Highland carried on! The food was lovely and served with good humour from the staff under very difficult conditions. We were even given a bottle of wine as we left! "Words simply cannot do justice to this establishment. The ambience, the food, the service were nothing short of perfection, and I utilise that term very deliberately. Our waiter was attentive and knowledgable, charming and funny without ever being ingratiating or false. The a la carte menu was excellent, and our food I had Dover sole and my wife had the lobster risotto, preceded by the oysters and canapés was sublime. The whole experience was unforgettable, the history and sense of refinement is truly palpable without ever seeming forced. It was an experience, and one my wife and I are keen to undertake again at our earliest opportunity. It is luxurious without seeming pretentious or unattainable. We aren’t oligarchs, captains of industry, movie stars or the landed gentry, and that mattered not one iota, the staff were unfailingly warm and attentive. There is a very clear reason Claridge’s has stood the test of time, and long may it continue to do so."

"We approached the restaurant to see from the window that no one was inside which was worrying. I was put off and contemplated finding another restaurant. Called to ask if they was even open and turns out you have to enter and go downstairs. First impression wasn't great. Service was okay and the restaurant looked nice. I ordered the Fillet medium rare, what came was not medium rare but more medium well done, my wife ordered the chicken which was lovely. I was offered a replacement but I didn't want to wait whilst my wife had eaten her food."

"No customers in there apart from us, no atmosphere very sad place, torn carpet on entrance, uncomfortable chairs and out of stock of Diet Coke and onion rings. Food was cold and took forever to get a drink. Expensive, and opened late at 12 noon-every other eatery locally open all day. I’m surprised they can stay in business. My party of people didn’t enjoy the experience and nor did I. I felt sorry for the waitress as she was wondering why we chose her restaurant. The owner should be chained to the restaurant seating area and made to eat there"

"We booked for early Sunday evening for a family members birthday. 6 adults, 2 children. The restaurant was quiet but it still took nearly 15 mins for someone to take our food and drinks order. The drinks then took another 15 mins to arrive. The starters arrived a short while later for those who ordered them and were fine. It took some time for the plates to be removed after we had finished and again, quite a wait for the mains to arrive. these were again, OK, although I was advised the chicken and ham hock pie was very good. 4 of us had roasts beef only option). The meat was somewhat chewy and most of the veggies were hot. The kids meal portions were very good and food hot and tasty. Again, it took ages for the plates to be removed and we had to call someone over to take dessert orders as no one came near. It took nearly 15 mins for 2 tubs of ice cream, 1 triple scoop of ice cream and one warm apple pie and ice cream to arrive. The warm apple pie wasn’t, although again, it was apparently very tasty. Not once, throughout the whole time, did anyone come to check that everything was ok. All in all, a very mediocre and rather disappointing evening."

"I ordered a turkey gobbler sub and was surprised to find it made with smoked turkey and without jellied cranberry sauce. Unfortunately, the sub was quite disappointing and very salty. My friend paid for it, so I didn't voice my concerns at the time, but the shop really needs to improve their sub-making skills. I used to run a deli, and our turkey gobblers were definitely worth reordering, unlike this one."

"Wedding We had our wedding reception party upstairs in the button factory. Our original wedding was cancelled due to covid and was supposed to be a more traditional barn wedding so it was a complete change of direction for us choosing the button factory! I’m almost grateful that our original wedding was cancelled because this was the perfect setting for us! The food 10 10, the cocktails, the unique setting with the terrace, everything was perfect! The staff were super friendly and helpful when it came to questions running up to the event and planning, and also on the day they were all so nice and helpful. So many of our friends said it was the best wedding they’d been to! We had about 80 guests in total and we also had a band, and it was the perfect size for this. We could probably have had up to 100+ guests comfortably to be fair! But this way we could clear one area for the band and dance floor. Honestly 10 10 recommended for a relaxed laid back but super fun wedding reception!"

"I am here at the slim party with my children personally think that the slim ladies need more personal, as there are many children, but only a few of them, but the staff here serve are great really friendly help full, meet and greet everyone who in and nothing seems much angry for them. I would really recommend this place based on the friendly staff, but I did not try to eat personally, but everyone here seems to enjoy it and it looks all very beautiful and well presented. this is a great idea when the children had more employees with them to have the superb something to eat, but they didn't have to do so much of the superb and help our children are a little older and we have made slim to house before we just continue to check them were in order and had everything they needed. I would like to add that my children had chicken and chips there. the chicken was freshly baked as I would do to house and the chips was nice and cooked in clean oil as I had a few of them, I can comment that for me the venue and the event staff made it a nice day, but the ladies who needed to run the slime 1 or 2 more staff and they sort them themselves better, but if I did 5 minutes before and did not go park. then she asked my wife if the children were ready as if they were going to the kitchen and checking. not enough time spent with the children, but with all that said they were going over by 30 minutes, but I think this is due to organization."
