"We opted for the Sharing Menu for Two, featuring a vegetarian selection and the chef's special picks, along with a Piña Colada—perfectly sweet, just the right balance. I also shared an Espresso Martini with a friend, and it was absolutely delicious! The meal started with a basket of pita and homemade bread, accompanied by tzatziki and aubergine cream. The bread was beautifully presented, and I also sampled the aubergine cream. I never expected such a fantastic combination! Next, we tried the Dolmadakia, which were delightful, and the feta filo fried cheese spring rolls drizzled with honey were a highlight—so tasty! The chicken tacos featured tender pork shreds that tasted incredibly fresh and full of flavor. I also enjoyed the Aubergine Imam; although I'm not usually a fan of onions, they were cooked down until soft and the sauce masked the onion's flavor quite well—not bad at all! The barbecue-glazed pork souvlaki was truly exceptional—definitely a 10/10! It was the perfect mix of sweet and savory. To finish off, I ordered dessert: a pistachio cake with cinnamon white chocolate sauce. I found it a bit too sweet for my taste; however, those who enjoy sweeter treats may want to give it a try. "Booked a table on line, which was easy enough. Arrived at the Windmill, the lady logged in to find our booking, which took a little while as the app kept logging her out, and it had ‘the longest ever password’ to log in her words not mine. Took our seats, and ordered our drinks via the app. After about 10 mins, the same lady asked if we were ok, we said we were waiting for drinks, she went back to the bar and retrieved our order and brought our drinks to us. Next round of drinks which again were order via the app arrived promptly. Next we ordered our mains. Medium rare 10oz stake, and a lasagna. Food arrived. Lasagna was very good. Not overpowered with tomato or garlic, very tasty. Hubby’s medium rare stake was overcooked making it a bit dry and lacking taste, but he didn’t want to wait for another to be cooked. Not once did anyone check with us how the meal was. During the meal we ordered another round of drinks, and waited patiently. The lack of drinks made a dry steak even less palatable. We finished the meals (well left half the steak) yet still no drinks. After 25 minutes I went to the bar to cancel the drinks and ask for a refund. After tapping many buttons, hey presto the order was located. There was much confusion over how to do a refund, and at one stage it was suggested that we may have to have cash and the staff member sort it later, but eventually it got sorted as a refund to the card. STILL NO ENQUIRY AS TO HOW THE MEALS WERE!!!!!! As much as I enjoyed the lasagna, I don’t think we will visit again. One member of staff was spending more time having a chat with the locals than checking on things. There were a lot of food orders being collected for delivery, I felt that these were being prioritised above the seated diners. I wish I could say the pub was busy, but it really wasn’t so there was no excuse."

"The ambiance at this restaurant is pleasing. However, we noticed that our orders were taken after another couple that arrived after us, so the service could be more attentive. The breakfast we had was delicious. While the menu didn't mention an option for turkey speck, they were willing to add it to our order or replace it with something else when we asked. They also offer soy milk as an alternative option. One negative aspect to note is the restroom, which definitely needs improvement. There was black mold on the walls, the room was very cold, and we even saw a cockroach scurrying across the floor, with the kitchen located right next to it."

"Amazing service from the get-go My partner has an illness that can cause severe nausea with no warning. It happened this evening, and the staff were unbelievably understanding. Even before this, the service was faultless tbf. They allowed us to wrap up our food, and even take our drinks with us, which we understand is not normally allowed Absolutely will be returning when he feels a bit better thank you so much"

"My spouse and I were celebrating our wedding anniversary at this restaurant. The attentive staff went above and beyond to make our evening special. We indulged in some pricey Laurent Perrier Rose champagne before our starters, and enjoyed a lovely Sancerre wine with our Lobster Wellington. For dessert, we shared a delicious raspberry and meringue treat. The atmosphere was very relaxed, set in a stunning hotel."

"Well you asked ……. So despite a booking for 1pm given with deposits and a pre order for a festive menu We arrived early for drinks and told that the booking was for 11.30 ? by Adrian and that he had bought staff in early to cater for us we explained it was definitely a 1pm meal we had asked for. By 1.20 starters arrived but orders were awry and no toasted bread with the terrine (which was gorgeous) It was 2pm before the mains arrived but two customers were then informed their meals had been dropped (accidents can happen) however when their Salmon meals arrived 20 minutes later it was a quite underwhelming meal served. Lumpy Sauce no roasted carrots and a small portion of salmon and a small portion of beans no check back was given on the meal to ask why. Desserts was served but no spoons for one table and when requested again Adrian told us to collect them from another table. Finally it was discovered we were a dessert light and despite asking for it again was told another diner had accepted the missing dessert. So we just said OK we would forget and the bill would be altered. Sorry to report the mince pie size was minuscule with the size of the cream it was served with. Must say folks that had the Turkey Dinner (majority) had great reviews on their food and portion sizes. The two female waiting staff were brilliant and we could tell it had seemed like a lunchtime which had caused problems however the rest of the pub was not busy and they did their very best. This was a once a year Festive affair for 20 folks which I’m sorry to say was spoilt by poor Customer Service and Food/Menu problems which could have been resolved on the day by Adrian just talking to us in an acceptable manner instead he really caused an atmosphere."

"Awful. The experience was ruined by a waitress who was unnecessarily officious about how long we needed the table for, whether we needed all of our chairs and then incorrectly telling us that we’d only reserved the table for a certain period of time. I knew this was incorrect because I had a receipt of the online booking on my phone. She just wanted our table for another booking, I’d imagine. Then, as we left, she sarcastically pointed at her watch because we hadn’t been able to be precise about when we were going to leave. Frankly, we’d hated the experience and were glad to be leaving for somewhere else with a better atmosphere. It was truly appalling customer service. We all felt like this waitress was nagging us about chairs and how long we needed the table all throughout our time there. I could not relax. Really bad. Would not recommend this place at all."

"This restaurant is a hidden gem located at Victoria Station. I have walked by it many times without noticing it. I finally booked a reservation last minute for a farewell party and didn't know what to expect. The staff were extremely accommodating and the prices for both drinks and food were reasonable. The atmosphere was clean and pleasant, with ample space and not too crowded."

"Ordered a take out in time for the Boks vs Wales game. Having eaten Nando’s whilst living in South Africa (where it originates from) the food was of very poor quality. The chicken livers were chopped up with no sauce at all, the accompanying Portuguese roll which you’re supposed to use to soak up said non existing sauce didn’t arrive. The fives sticks of halloumi arrived as two skinny slices laid at the bottom of a large box of air. The grilled miele was only grilled in one stripe not all over and was over cooked and dry. The coleslaw wasn’t too bad. The boneless thighs were surprisingly dry and lack lustre. Over all the meal was very disappointing and a very pale comparison to the authentic Nando’s. Thank goodness the game didn’t disappoint!"

"As a previous mystery shopper. the Food was awful the meat was cheap tasted a lot like fire pit tescos burgers.Then frys you have to buy separately? Comes out in a mug size portion but your charged an arm for it. Alot of money for cheap burgers! "4 of us were here last night. Meals were brought out one at a time with several minutes in between and one order did not arrive at all. Girl at the till said we never ordered anything else yet knew what sides had been ordered to go with the apparent non-order. No apology, no discount, no offer of a refund. Just told order would be added on and waved the card machine in our faces. Another order the chicken was rubbery and under cooked. Same girl who claimed to be the manager took the plate away, brought it back saying too much had been eaten to offer a refund and tried to put the plate back on the table. Her attitude was terrible and showed the same disinterest to the table next to us who also had an issue with food being missed off their order. If this girl genuinely is a manager I think you definitely need to work on staff training. Staff should not be shrugging their shoulders completely disinterested when it has been an error on their part and not even offer an apology. The attitude of so called managerial staff in here last night was absolutely abhorrent and we certainly won't be back"

"the presentation of eating is good. However, all three sirloin steaks we ordered were boiled over. the service was minimal with only one staff that took service and order. when pouring a bottle of red wine on our weinglas it was as fast as it filled with water and without showing us the bottle and trying it out. inside damentoilette just came out of the kubikal found a male personal cleaning and it scared me. this type of service at hilton was not expected."

"We came for lunch on a Sunday quite early and ordered one Chicken Shawarma, x 4 Sweet Potato Fries, Cookie Dough Bonanza and Kunefe. 5mins later the waiter says don't have any of the desserts we asked for or the Chicken Shawarma so we said we'll take 4 drinks and fries, another 5mins later a different waitress came to inform us they didn't have any sweet potato fries, eventually we cancelled all the food as they couldn't give us what we originally came for to order. We drank our drinks in an empty restaurant (I wonder why) and the floors were sticky on the way to the restroom. This place used to be great hence why we came today only be let down by the low standards that have befallen this place. They could of got the sweet potato fries from Home Bargain next door, it would be understanable if it was near closing time. Did the cook not inform the waiter/waitresses what wasn't available to order beforehand? Just made them look clueless"
