"Friends choice to go here, not in the nicest area but the decor inside was quite nice. More a cafe than a restaurant but it’s open in the evenings, Teenagers hanging around connected with the lady owner I think), it was quiet inside apart from them. The food was nice enough, it came in good time. The special price deal is daytime only I believe. This is a foreign owned establishment, felt a bit out of place tbh. The lady owner was ok I guess, bit of a vibe I picked up on. The toilet was nice and clean. The thing I found rude was that before we had finished our drinks the door was left open to the restaurant letting in the cold night air, in other words she wanted us gone as she wanted to close I assume. A polite word would have been far better explaining it was near closing time. It really spoiled the evening. There was also political propaganda on the counter, not something I want to hear about in a cafe. Not somewhere I would go back, I didn’t feel that comfortable. Two stars for the food which was decent and the drinks."

"It happened late on a Sunday night. We were greeted by the minute we arrived and assured that they were more than happy to put us for food, even the service came to an end. The food was really good quality, fresh and boiled well prepared... the waitress was top drawing, pleasant and polite. We did not feel disappointed in any way the delay of the hour. A pleasant atmosphere with a beautiful transverse breeze from the open windows in the porch style. All in all this little jewel ended our evening beautifully. Thank you."

"I've been hitting this restaurant a few times, but it was terrible for this occasion. The bar stopped with cocktails, apparently too busy to make them, the service was slow, the food was burned, the substitute food was not the same as the original order and was burned....They guessed it burned. The waiting staff tried their hardest, but it was really terrible. I doubt very much that I would visit again, but I really hope that this night was one, do not run a restaurant and a bar with this number of covers if you cannot look for this number of people."

"The restaurant offers a good selection of wines and the service is pleasant. The pizza was tasty, but the lasagne was lackluster - it seemed microwaved, dry, and sparse on filling. I tried to pay with an OpenTable check, but the manager was unfamiliar with them. Overall, the experience felt a bit disorganized, so I will probably dine elsewhere next time."

"Wasn't super into the food the first time I visited in 2019 (alcohol was involved lol) but I visited again in September and it was much better. Restaurant was clean, there's proper seating upstairs, highchairs are available and the staff were pleasant. Food was cheap and we enjoyed it. Restaurant isn't fully accessible though there's no lift to upstairs seating and downstairs tables are for standing guests."

"pizza is fantastic! after almost 20 pizzerias in london I finally found (a local with decent teig. decent is a compliment of what I saw and cost in london (I am a cook, with more than decent pizzaiollo experience. although the venue has massive oversized menus (which is always a bad sign, which in the rule costs 1 star of my review, I will still be a 5 star review for the best quattro formaggi pizza in the last year. "had a nice family dinner with good choices for all including a child and a vegetarian. the two veggie burger options were great, haggis nachos fab and the salmon salad plentiful. the chips were excellent! only slightly left off was the pizza that had a little heavy base for our lust. beautiful clean toilets and covid safe with lots of space between tables. staff efficient and friendly! would definitely return and recommend everyone."

"Great place that does great burgers. I've only made use of their takeaway service which was fairly quick when I visit. Think you can phone your order in advance, which saves time. Food was good! Their french fries are the right level of crispiness for me; not too crispy that the fries were hard throughout. There are a lot of tasty sounding options when it comes to building your burger, not all meat based either. Certainly somewhere I'd revisit to try out different burger combinations. Overall the place itself has a cosy chilled vibe, with outdoor seating; great for good weather. The staff are friendly and real helpful too."

"Hanoi Cafe is quite under rated. It doesn't stand out from the rest. It was recommended on my recent trip to London by a French girl we just met who eats there often. It has a homely setup and nothing too fancy. The menu is quite extensive and there should be something for everyone. "We are from Los Angeles visiting relatives and we booked a High Tea. Initially, we were served with nice friendly service as we sat down and placed our order. After that not one server even came back to ask if we needed refill with teas or water. While the three tables around were served with three times and they are all Caucasians. We are Asians. Please tell me there is no discrimination here in UK. Even after I had to flag down a server and her mannerisms were not quite friendly. This gave me a very bad impression with a restaurant like this."

"I was aimlessly wandering around and came upon this gem in a neighborhood lined with pretty shops and gorgeous homes. It seems to be frequented by local residents, which was exactly what I was looking for, and it has a little shop that sells fruits, vegetables, pasta, olive oils, etc. I ordered Spaghetti Bolognese, which was perfectly cooked, hot and topped with just the right amount of parmesan. The meat sauce has to be the recipe from someone's little, old nonna. It was out of this world. I couldn't finish it so I took the leftovers to go along with a scrumptious piece of strawberry cheesecake and a bag filled with oil, vinegar, chips and sweets! "an art brillance. the spaghetti lobster is the best you can find in Britain. the lobster is fresh, the sauce is slightly brownish, but a perfect pairing with the white meat, and the **** fairy are so made that they are their preferred amount of tabasco and worcester sose, super. from the pictures you can also see that I had a cote de rhone. the wein has always been excellent and affordable. I also love the service attentive, but never dizzy. no hurry and no push, just perfect. the owner is a real soul, funny and just a pleasure to be around. we know him for many years and it is always great to see him no matter how long the gap in time. cocktails, like the espresso martini, possibly the best in brighton at half price. I have eaten in many fish restaurants all over the world and the regency restaurant has still been rated as one of the best."

"Went for lunch on Saturday with my husband and sister in law. Have been to this pub quite a few times and although the service has never been fantastic I was shocked at how bad it was. The last time we came (a few months ago) it was awful but we said we would give it another try as the food is nice and it’s a good looking pub. We were shown to our table and 10 mins later no one came over. There was no staff in the restaurant part at all for the whole meal. Had to go to the bar and ask to order, was told someone would be with us in 2 mins. 5 mins later a girl came to take our order. Bit of a side point but you wouldn’t know she worked there as she was in ripped jeans and a strappy top (not really appropriate). Food came out in acceptable time. 2 of the 3 burgers were a bit burnt and not great but the chips were really nice. No one came over to ask if our meals were ok. No one came over to clear our plates. No one came over and asked if we wanted coffee or desert. We got up and went to pay at the bar as there was no one around to ask for the bill. When we paid no one asked if everything had been ok. We would have ordered desert and coffee but got so sick of waiting (the restaurant was very quiet) we went to BIGS deserts down the road. Such a shame but the staff need a shake up in this place as it could be great. I’ve given it a second chance and won’t be giving it a third."

"I visited Coffee Warehouse today for a light lunch, Coffee was hot and delicious service quick and friendly also had a Roasted Vegetable Panini my friend had Poached Egg on toast and a green tea. "There are far fewer Indian restaurants, as opposed to takeaways, local to us. Sometimes you just would rather eat out. We gave Spice Island a try and it did not disappoint: the Onion Bhajis were crisp, spicy and light and, speaking of light, the Nan Bread was amongst the lightest we have ever known delightful! The Dansak was spicy yet still had that essential sweetness while my personal 'acid test ', the Chicken Vindaloo was hot but not mental, the chicken nicely cooked and the potatoes not over present up there with the best. Service was good but not obsequious and the decor rather smart. We reckon to go to Spice Island at least once a month from now on."

"We had a reservation for 6:30 pm at the restaurant, which was quiet at first but started to get busier and louder. They had a special offer on Tapas before 7:00 pm and a 2 for 1 deal on cocktails. The food was delicious, although I thought the dessert options were a bit lacking. The service was excellent, with friendly and attentive staff. I would recommend La Tasca as a lively and energetic place to enjoy a meal."
