"The only reason I put 4 stars for the food is because I believe it was overpriced for what it was. You have to order chips separately which hikes up the bill, it also seems to be company policy to charge for any extras, even if you remove one kind of cheese to add a less expensive cheese, this is kinda of whack and a slight deterrent from returning. The vegan options were almost unimaginative. However, there was more than one option and I like the fact that they use different types of meat alternatives. Also a rare option for a vegan milkshake which was decent. Service a great. The manager on staff was very friendly and on ball."

"Although the restaurant is pleasantly decorated, that was the highlight of our visit. We felt that there was a bad attitude to customers from the start. We asked for tap water and instead of being given a jug for the table, we were each given a half filled glass. When we saw the astronomical prices for drinks, for water, for creamy milk drinks we realised that we'd better make our tepid tap water last. The food was average with no extras like you'd expect our cold mezze plate for was basically some dips plus rice in vine leaves. No pitta you have to pay extra for that. Rest of food distinctly average, some not nice at all spinach parcels avoid. Very loud music playing. Large service charge added. Will never go back"

"Extortionately overpriced for basic pub grub, plus poor service and no allergen menu. First of all, my wife and I regularly frequent very high end establishments. This isn’t what you would expect at this price point. The location is beautiful, the staff are well dressed and courteous, however, the decor on the wild carrot is tired and the food is 50/50… read on… On arrival we were seated at a dark table with no view, when there were plenty of nicer tables it was quite quiet . We shortly asked to move which was a waste of of our time. My wife has an egg allergy and was horrified to discover they had no allergen menu they could share with us, plus the two waiters said they had no idea about allergens so had to check with the chefs each time, which made us nervous. I’m fairness the cocktails were good. The Wild Carrot starter, which was meant to have rainbow radishes and crudités was a £0.75p £1 bag of mixed leaf salad you’d get in a supermarket with some cherry tomatoes and sliced carrot, no radish. The fish and chips had thick undercooked doughy batter and they hadn’t removed the skin on the fish. The chips were supermarket chunky McCains type frozen chips and undercooked. For £28 I expect far, far better. This was more £18 pub grub at best. My mushroom toast was excellent and the mushroom pasta was also good but the side of fries for which I didn’t ask the cost was £8 !! they were limp and flavourless, essentially KFC/McDonalds level when not fresh, small portion too. My wife left about 30 40% of her food it was so bad, I ate mine as I’m more stubborn, but in hindsight, it really wasn’t worth the money as experiences of that price point should be equal, certainly not compatible to pubs and takeouts. The correct cutlery wasn’t laid out and our water wasn’t topped up once. To make matters worse, they added 15% to the bill but didn’t bring the itemised bill, just put the total on the card machine and brought that, at this point we just paid up and made for the exit. A totally embarrassing set up with incompetent staff and horrendous poor quality produce and cooking. Felt like daylight robbery and ruined our day. Read the other reviews, there’s a running theme for being overpriced and disappointing here and it’s letting what looks to be a very nice hotel down. Everything needs changing here except the cocktails and the mushroom toast starter. Also, other reviews are correct, wild kids everywhere, no wild carrots in sight. AVOID."

"We were here to celebrate a birthday with 12 people. We pre ordered all dishes, hoping for a slick service. The food and the service were perfect; a very dedicated waiter literally did not loose sight of us for a second until we were all served and happily eating amazing! The size fo dishes differs, but that is not a problem as sharing only adds to the pleasure. I think I have tasted 10 different dishes and don't know which one to highlight. A marvelous gastronomic memory! Wines are on the more expensicve side, but really excellent too!"

"However, after placing our orders, we faced a long wait for our food. The pizza arrived 15 minutes before the rest of the meal, and we were not informed that the garlic bread was included. Eventually, three burgers were served, but after another 10 minutes, we had to inquire about my daughter's chicken burger. It turned out the chef had completely overlooked it in our order. The pizza remained untouched, as it was quite bland. I then requested a refund for the missing items, as my daughter didn’t want to wait any longer for her meal. To say the evening was disappointing would be an understatement. The manager eventually came over to apologize and offered a full refund, acknowledging that his staff were doing their best; however, it seemed that the focus on delivery orders took precedence over the dining experience for those present. It may be beneficial to have a cook who can manage both delivery and dine-in orders, ensuring that seated customers are not forgotten."

"We weren't sure what to expect at Firejacks, but what we got was absolutely outstanding. The girlfriend and I managed to get a table during a very busy period on Saturday evening post a cinema screening, and were served by a very warm and friendly waitress who ensured we had a lovely dining experience. We had two great starters and main meals that appealed to both a BBQ and Spice lover and a slightly tamer palette, and having a huge selection of sauces available to compliment the meal was even better. The cocktails and beer selection were also great and rounded off a lovely Saturday evening out."

"Very disappointed. Such a great location and destination. Frankly I don't think they care about customers. Booked table for 2 oclock. Arrived early and was told 1 hour wait for food. How difficult is a Sunday roast? They were not even half full (including garden). Not enough staff clearly. I waited 20 minutes at bar to be served a drink. Food was disappointing on arrival. Tough roast beef. Its not enough to hope the location overshadows poor service and quality. I won't be back."

"I had a great experience at the Blue Legume. It was quite busy on Sundays for brunch, so even though we had a reservation, we had to wait a bit. However, the wait was not too long. The brunch was delicious and reasonably priced. We had 2 Mediterranean Brunches and 4 coffees, which came to £24. The decor and atmosphere were beautiful, and I would definitely recommend it for brunch or a nice weekend lunch. We were able to enjoy our meal for over 3 hours without feeling rushed or asked to leave, which was great for us, but may have contributed to the long queues."

"Arrived, greeted straight away and allowed to pick a table to sit at. We sat down and it was explained either order at till or on app. Told they have run out on certain burgers. We ordered via the app, which was a little bit a faff but managed in end. Used the toilets, not very tidy, lack of toilet paper. Food came quite quickly but our drinks didn't come till half way through food after asking for them. Asked for changes on my burger but came with the item I didn't want. Also we were the only family and another couple in there so not exactly run off their feet. No one asked was everything OK. Female server was then brushing up around us when it wasn't needed. Next another member of staff from the kitchen was sat on his phone right next to us when he was on his break. He soon got told to move by management. Wouldn't want to see this place busy. Wish I never gave a tip now when ordering via app. Didn't deserve it. Nothing above and beyond."

"A great pub with good food at reasonable prices (for current food costs anyway! and a massive kid and dog friendly garden. For a weekday lunchtime it was very quiet, presumably due to its quiet village location they really deserve more custom. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, and didn't seem at all fazed by a couple of sweaty walkers wandering in! The food was very good quality, with filling portion sizes. I'd highlight, of all things, the fat fries that were exceptional (like triple cooked chips . The only negative IMO was leaving the skin on the battered fish, which personally I don't like since it doesn't crisp up and stays somewhat slimy. Overall though, a really nice pub."

"I go there fairly regularly because I'm lucky enough to live not too far away. It's the best value for money restaurant that I know if you want exceptional service and an exotic, beautiful décor at an affordable price. The summer menu has a strawberry, lavender and elderflower trifle that is just to die for !!! This alone is worth the trip over... A real OMG moment. "We had dinner for 8 people at the Borough Market restaurant. Absolutely fantastic! We had the Chef Tasting Menu and the food was excellent, varied, and plenty of it. "Unfortunately our group did not have the best experience at The Driver and it is unlikely we will return to have food here. We had to wait over an hour to even get our starters and we only had one fleeting your food is coming . This factor probably tainted our whole experience however I did find the food over priced for what it was. For example, the Burrata as a starter was charged at £13 it came with one slice of prosciutto yet two in our party asked for the veg option and there portion was smaller and came without the prosciutto but still priced the same. The standard of food varied yet the best food was the Fish Chips other meals were disappointing. The acoustics are terrible on the ground floor the place needs some sound dampeners as we struggle to even hear each other at all. The rest of the establishment was inaccessible because private hire but it does seem like a great place if you wanted to have a party there I wouldn 't recommend it for small parties of 6 or less."

"that was my first time in the city souvlaki and definitiw the last thing that is a scandal, because eating was nice, we couldn't blame it. I wish that could be said about the waitress. Every time she came to our table, she rolled her eyes and she saw it to other guests too, but not the ones that she knew we were creeping. I am a Greek cypriot, but I shouldn't flicker to get good service. a good service should be given to everyone, regardless of where they come from."

"It's still a cheeky Nando's .. it's just different! No queues outside any more, instead you need to scan a barcode at the entrance to get your place in the queue and you'll be informed when a table is available for you. We had a...seat upstairs, the host told us to go upstairs and tell the greeter it was table 11 and left us to it, but when we got upstairs there was no-one there and table 11 was the first one, so we just sat down. There are now barcodes on the tables as well to order food. Just a note you need an account to order your food so it's easier to sign up before rather than doing it there. So, barcode food ordering. Even with a reduced menu, there's still pretty much everything you'd expect from Nando's to order from, not sure what was missing! I guess it's just a little anti-social, everyone's head in their phones whilst ordering, less conversation. The system all worked fine, orders are placed and food is brought over. I guess I'd prefer a little more interaction from staff as there was no-one to greet us at the table we weren't explained to how the drink refills worked, did we have to order on the barcode each time or ask someone in person with the same glass? We never found out. You're basically just left to your own devices, there's no interaction apart from when your food is brought to the table and you're asked if you need condiments. You don't see any other staff milling about and you there's no-one around to approach. Food wise, always a good standard from Nando's I had butterfly chicken, tenderstem, salad and split a spicy rice with a mate. All lovely food. They don't do balsamic vinegar anymore which was a shame. Like I say, it's Nando's, just different. Personally, I might just order online for click/collect or a home delivery next time."

"I must hand it to these guys! Delicious meal, good ambiance, friendly staff. Reasonably priced and accessible location. Thanks for creating a nice family dining experience. It was just what we needed after an exhausting day. You can expect a complementary salad served with Turkish bread and a special dip. We had freshly squeezed orange juice, which was cool and refreshing. I ordered a small Chicken Shish meal served with bulgar. My wife had a lamb dish and my daughter had burger with fries. All was good. The only issue I had was that the grilled halloumi cheese that I ordered as a starter was a little bit rubbery, but that's perhaps just me being pick. Overall, a delightful experience!"
