"We booked at House because it was convenient after seeing Follies at the Olivier. The service was good; courteous and speedy. The food was disappointing and overpriced. There were some very unpleasant foams, tasteless and ill matched combinations ie cold unmarinated mackeral drowned in an unspecified foam. bread and butter pudding does not sit well well with grapefruit. Cooking is far too complicated and simply does not work."

"Now out-of-towners, we come up to London for matinees at the National, and lunch beforehand at House. This place is more than excellent. Welcoming, efficient (as they must be, everyone eating has a deadline to be in their theatre seat) and the food is inventive...and absolutely delicious. I had smoked duck with red cabbage (it was the red cabbage that put The Other Half off that dish, but when he tasted mine he had a re-think) with a puree that would give even red cabbage a good name. I then had cod, perfectly cooked, with a clam or two and a delicious sauce and wonderful mash. TOH had sea food or fish pasta dumplings of some sort, they too were delicious, and the cod too. He had a pudding which he loved, and I had cheese. It was truly lovely, and reasonably priced. Thanks to all at House."

"Hart's Kitchen is off to a great start in the new year. We enjoyed plump, tasty, garlicky prawns and a comforting, creamy artichoke soup for starters. The flat iron steak, cooked medium rare as requested, was flavorful and satisfying. For dessert, we had a delicious chocolate fondant with ice cream and some standard Madeleines with lemon curd. The wine list offered plenty of options at reasonable prices. The service from the one waiter in the small dining area was professional and friendly. It's reassuring to see that this long-standing Nottingham restaurant is still serving up excellent food."

"We recently visited Maxwell's as a group of five, and the experience was fantastic from start to finish. The atmosphere was lively, the food was delicious, and the service was impeccable. The chicken wings and frickles were especially amazing—crispy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The menu had something for everyone, and everything we ordered was served hot and full of flavor. What really stood out to us was how accommodating the staff were, especially with our friends who brought their baby. They went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable, providing high chairs and helping us settle in with ease. Their attentiveness and friendliness made the whole experience even more enjoyable, and we felt well taken care of the entire time. Thank you, Maxwell's, for a lovely evening! We can’t wait to return."

"This was my third visit and I loved it. They have the best brunch menu with breakfast and lunch choices and the waiters top your prosecco glass up very frequently! The service is great. Also, I love that it’s three courses as you feel it is good value for money and like a proper meal. One tip-lose the blue macaroon! :o)"

"Great steak, fairly good service and atmosphere. I had an excellent steak, with good quality sides. It was well prepared, with great flavour and is generally much better than you get in an average steak restaurant. The location is central to the city, so parking is a challenge, but I would say it's worth the trip, finding a space and walking to the restaurant. I had and would certainly recommend the T-Bone, it really was very good. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £70–80 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes: Steak"

"I ordered I Filet-Steak medium, I got a piece well done and very dry. This was a very disapointing experiance to a high price. As we wanted to speak with the chief he said: „That‘s the way we cook here!‘ This is a no go in a restaurant! Never again Harberview Grille in Campbeltown!!!"

"We had a lovely anniversary lunch here with Seon as our server. She was kind enough to explain all dietary restrictions and anything that might not be obvious. We had a few starters, the dumplings and the squid were amazing. The highlight was the dipping sauce that came with the fried squid. We also ordered the chicken bento box, in the sweet and spicy sauce. Amazing. Seon kept checking in on us time to time and ensured our experience was lovely."

"Everything was just not up to standard.. They were sold out in there to special breads when we came. We waited for too long both with drinks and mains. for drinks (we got our starters before they came, and there were two bartenders in the bar not doing anything else than talking to each other) and about for mains. We got some pita bread in compensation. And we didnât like out of three dips to it. Our waitress were so arrogant and didnât even explained the concept or asked about if we liked the food. Besides that there were so many different waitresses there came to our table and they didnât talked together because they asked us the same questions. All in all not value for money a bad experience and we wouldnât come back."

"I had a pleasant dining experience with a great variety at the buffet. I decided to try this place after visiting their spa, and I was happy with the selection available. While there wasn't anything particularly extraordinary, the overall experience was fantastic, and the service was excellent, just as anticipated. Several other tables were occupied, creating a lively atmosphere, but it still felt private."

"Table reservation not ready on a Sunday at had to wait minutes before we were seated and had to ask if the table was ready (no staff member helped us). The restaurant was dirty and lacked in standards, the bar area was full of used empty glasses and empty bottles of wine (immediately sends the wrong impression). Had to ask for drinks and then to be served. Food was nothing short of shambolic. Look warm soup, hard terrine. Steak was cooked medium to well despite medium rare being requested. Chips were cold. The tempura batter was soggy and slid off the fish...disgusting. Biggest regret not reading the reviews prior otherwise we would have given it a body swerve. Consistent reminders of additional charges at a whip is embarrassing when broadcasted. Numerous folk from the general public used the bathrooms waking past our table to which one asked “where’s the toilets?”. Having read some reviews, it’s very clear to see the GM doesn’t act on issues being raised provides typical responses of being sorry, it’s not up to usual high standards etc. Do yourself a favour, avoid this place at all costs not to mention over priced! Shocking establishment."

"After a few years, I am pleased to say that the food quality at this restaurant is still quite good. I give it a full mark for consistency. The menu offers a simple mix of traditional favorites and specialty dishes. We tried the fried fish tendon and were not disappointed. The service was friendly and the prices were reasonable, given the current circumstances. Overall, we left satisfied and felt that our money was well spent. I would definitely recommend this place to those looking for a change from the usual Punjabi or Dosa dishes. Keep in mind that the seating is limited, so it might be a good idea to call ahead on busy days."

"so we went to the pfeffer tree, as it was late and there were not many alternatives. I would read here, they did something vegan eating and true enough they do. I probably ate the same as any other vegan who's ever in there: dim-sum, vegetable-stirring-bean and kokosreis. It was okay, not amazing, but okay. I've tied some sweet stuff and I remember a review here that said the cocos rice and mango sorbet was vegan. I asked the waitress and she went away to check and confirm it was. she also mentioned the pancake, but I was stuck with the tear. the desert came and I thought nothing of it and tried the ‘writing’, which proved to be a burned pancake. then I tried the sorbet who proved to be a tagel eis! I complained, but I really don't think she thought it was a big thing! I recommend to avoid this place to all."

"Been here twice now because usually by us, i literally get 4-6 prawns in a portion but here, the prawns came and i literally couldn't believe it, the picture doesnt do justice to the size. It must of had 20 prawns on and been somewhere around the length of my forearm!.. I normally eat loads but both times here i have struggled to finish those prawns because theres so many and comes with 6 little tortilla wraps too! Staff are super friendly and accommodating, the food I feel is amazing value for money because of quality and portions, and the taste is to die for. Only thing i think could improve it, which isnt a criticism tbh, is to have a larger variety of drinks, including flat options, and some bigger/cheaper options like a jug of squash or a pint of juice. We are already excited for our next visit though and ive sent the pictures of our food to my family and told them its worth the travel Vegetarian options: Im pescatarian so i eat fish but not meat. I always struggle to find places with good quality pescatarian options. These prawns were to die for and portion was so big i genuinely struggled. I never ever struggle normally Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5"

"Managed to book a table for two last minute and now I understand why this place is so busy! Best meal out I have had in a long time. Food was perfect and incredibly priced, we had it with a bottle of Greek red wine which was perfect. Staff were friendly and attentive and helped me in my choice of food as I have a few allergies. Food came out incredibly quick. The lamb chops were to die for. Highly recommend and I hope to visit Andy's Taverna soon again."

"We were warmly greeted and shown to a table, I did not notice until we had sat down that we were right next to the till and food laydown area. So I was often treated to a derriere being waved in my face or the...bang and clang of the knife and fork draw. We were not offered an opportunity to have a drink at the bar or another table away from the derriere show. My wife was with me and fuss is not on her menu, so I put up with it and did not ask to be moved (there were others available). So after the moan, service very good, food good, with the Octopus starter on another level, but the lamb shoulder was at best ok. My wifes meal of Salmon starter and Trout was very good I was told . So my advice don't be greedy, loose that table and tighten up the food offer a little. Would I go again yes, but never that table again, fuss or no fuss."

"Chilangos is a place where anyone, with different kinds of diets can find something to eat. You can order online for collection through their website or on deliveroo. We keep coming back to the vegan and vegetarian options. I always order the burritos because I find they are really filling and flavoursome. As they say, a stampede of flavours. They guacamole is another level of guacamole. Much better than other eateries. Make sure to try their other selections of sodas as well. Next time I am going to make sure to remember to order seafood. I want to try their prawn burrito. I wish they had halal meats but to be honest I am really happy with the vegan boxes and wraps. The staff are friendly and helpful. They were really kind and made sure to get our order correct. Keep up the good work. Till next time! Adieu"

"It would have been stars across the board but for the noise level from a party of that arrived whilst we were tucking into our main course. No fault of the restaurant as business is business and recovering from the pandemic, the management and team at Sai has worked extremely hard to service the clientele…it was just the fact we needed to shout at each other to hear ourselves that knocked a star off for me. The food was exquisite, the service brilliant and we look forward to returning soon but this time we will ask if there are any large table bookings in advance"
