"so we went to the pfeffer tree, as it was late and there were not many alternatives. I would read here, they did something vegan eating and true enough they do. I probably ate the same as any other vegan who's ever in there: dim-sum, vegetable-stirring-bean and kokosreis. It was okay, not amazing, but okay. I've tied some sweet stuff and I remember a review here that said the cocos rice and mango sorbet was vegan. I asked the waitress and she went away to check and confirm it was. she also mentioned the pancake, but I was stuck with the tear. the desert came and I thought nothing of it and tried the ‘writing’, which proved to be a burned pancake. then I tried the sorbet who proved to be a tagel eis! I complained, but I really don't think she thought it was a big thing! I recommend to avoid this place to all."

The Pepper Tree is a very warm and informal small thai restaurant just off Clapham Common tube station.

limited vegan options - but the personal has limited knowledge about what is vegan on the menu. the veg spring rollers were very mehlig and dusty.

I came to the Pepper Tree after a particularly hot day on Clapham Common following a recommendation from my housemate who likes to get takeaways from View menu

We went on a Friday night with no booking, it was packed but we only had to wait about 10 minutes for a table of 4. We set out to make sure we didn't spend

Just sat down and the guy who works there came and ran me through everything that was vegan. So nice of him!! Had the vegetable dim sum and vegetable pad Thai. All vegan. Such good food and quick service.

limited vegan and vegetarian options. I could only have the one vegan option that was the iron, and it was probably the one of the worst iron frying I ever had. cook really lazy. the employees seemed to all really stressed and not especially friendly. it came to £20 per head for a starter (over steamed and falling apart dumpling), porn and drink. not particularly expensive, but for table sharing and bad quality eating was not worth it. I'm not going back. View menu

consider the previous reviews, it seems that this place has improved much in the last few years! I was several times and the personal was always very helpful in the discussion about the vegan options. the service is also quite fast. they now have a separate vegan menu that is great and has several vegan starters, curries, stirries, nudge and salads. they also do a great worth lunch deal with an option for vegan earlylings, curry rice. the prices are very reasonable and the food is fresh and tasty!

Went to the Pepper Tree on a Sunday afternoon. It's located right by Clapham Common tube station, facing the main road. The menu isn't great for vegans; just a couple of dishes marked as such. More disappointingly, the waitress said that other dishes were vegetarian' as they only contained fish sauce. To be fair the menu does state that all dishes except the vegan ones contain fish sauce. I wanted to try a curry, but had to go for the vegetable stir fry which was tasty. Not bad if you don't mind the limited choice.
