"My colleagues and I (6 of us) were here on 14/5 (Tues) for a birthday celebration. We arrived at 545 pm but waited a while before we got seated. An older lady was taking our order. My colleague asked if she could change prawns to chicken padthai but the waitress did not seem to understand and kept telling my colleague to get the cashew chicken rice if she wants chicken. In the end, she just ordered from the ala carte menu instead of set. We also ordered a bottle of rosé from her but she gave us white wine. We had to tell her it’s not rosé and only she changed it for us. It also took them quite some time to attend to us when we were asking for more water. Food wise starters were amazing, i especially like the corn cakes!!! We were impressed at the variety of mixed starters the restaurant has. The green curry was delicious as well (definitely one of the best in London) Atmosphere was great the seats were pretty even and spaced throughout the restaurant so it didnt feel very cramped. Overall, i would’ve given more stars if service was better. I think it’s just understaffed with only two people on the floor but customers kept coming in."

"The best Thai restaurant we've experienced in Durham! Every time we order dinner from there, we are never disappointed. Everything from start to finish is exceptional. "My family and I had a wonderful meal at Red Torch Ginger last weekend. The staff was very nice and attentive, and the food was delicious and close to real Thai cuisine. We ordered many times take out from them, but the restaurant offers a bigger variety of meals when you dine in. We enjoyed the crispy duck and the pad thai noodles. Everything was well seasoned and flavorful, and the portions were generous. We also liked the cozy atmosphere of the place, and the prices were reasonable. Red Torch Ginger is one of the best restaurants in Maynooth."

"Right so I’ve ordered fish and chips for the office, we waited until the time slot and nothing, we gave it 5 mins and called them, and then repeatedly called them for the next 30 mins. Finally after an hour the food arrives, stone cold,...soggy and covered in condensation. I’ve called them again and she offered me a half price refund. I explained it was going straight in the bin. I was offered a full refund, gave them My card details and instead they charged me again. I was left, hungry and angry. They have no customer service, and they’ve not attempted to compensate me for this shambolic experience. Save your money and go to Churchill’s"

"Terrible customer service. At 10:50, one of the waiters came to tell us that they were closing in 10 minutes. At 10:51 they brought us the bill and then at 10:52 they started taking the payment. They were basically kicking us out of the restaurant. I removed the service charge (which is optional), for the same and they then came and took the plates away when I was STILL eating. Disgraceful and extremely poor customer service. I do NOT recommend this place at all."

"Stunning pub stunning location! I used to work nearby (from September 2013 to February 2017) and I would always look forward to lunchtime visits here in the summer. I’m told it was common for the production team filming nearby episodes of Midsummer Murders to drink here, and I can see why! I have lots of good memories with former work colleagues here. "The upper deck was closed and the restaurant did not care to inform us despite the fact that we made the booking a month in advance for upper deck. On site Parking as offered only to the favourite ones we were asked to park almost half a mile away. Food and service was also below average; will not recommend this place unless you want to wast your money and kill your evening."

"Fantastic meal. We headed into town to use an Itison voucher we received as a Christmas present. It was well worth the trip! Often in other restaurants I've found that with a voucher you don't receive as good a menu or service. However this was...not the case at Amarone. We received a friendly welcome and were taken to a good table. The set up here is perfect for an intimate meal. Great central location and you go downstairs so there is no noise from the streets outside. It is a large restaurant but the booths make it feel more cosy and customers were seated well apart so there was plenty of space around us. The food was delicious! The minestrone soup was perfect for a cold winter's day and the pizzas were a generous size. I managed to keep just enough space for my favourite tiramisu dessert which was the best end to the meal. The cocktail too (Raspberry Mule) was lovely. The service throughout was attentive but we never felt rushed. I will definitely be back with friends once restrictions are eased a bit more."

"I brought my family here for Mother’s Day and the dining experience did not disappoint. The cocktails were lovely, the food was simply delicious and the service was 5 stars. We stayed for 3 courses and handed the table back at the end of our time slot which was more than enough time to eat, talk and enjoy the lovely atmosphere. The calamari and steak were cooked to perfection not overcooked and rubbery as some places serve. The classic pad Thai was scrumptious and did not disappoint with the peanuts served on the side allowing me to choose how crunchy I wanted it. The tofu was nicely done as well. My mother absolutely loved the sorbet flavours offered for dessert and the banana pancakes and vanilla ice cream was a welcomed treat. We advised them of an allergy or intolerance and they were very diligent and attentive to this. Often checking before serving each course. Portion sizes were reasonable and so was the pricing. Definitely value for money and I intend to go back."

"When we arrived I was really pleased as all the tables had tablecloths and cloth napkins. We ordered poppadoms and prickles which were nice, and I ordered a Thai chicken curry and my nephew ordered a vegetable curry along vegetable noodles. When the curries arrived they looked exactly the same, and I think they were. The one I was given didn’t have any chicken in it, so went back to kitchen. When my dish returned it looked entirely different, and it had chicken in it, but it also had aubergine which I am allergic to. I had to pick the aubergine out. We didn’t have the experience I was hoping for, it was very disappointing. There were only two other people in the restaurant so it wasn’t busy, goodness knows how they managed to get my meal so wrong."

"Nice theme inside restaurant the staff are very friendly. We ordered a sharing platter the Food was good but when it came to the mains we were disappointed. The hainese chicken rice was tasteless the rice was a little hard not enough water when cooking it the portion of chicken was a speck to my eye very little. This is not how hainese chicken is served nor the taste. The legendary ksg was horrible the chicken was tasteless. The Pad Thai was the same the meat didn't taste good. I wouldn't say this was authentic."

"After several successful visits over the last year or so, tonight was a disappointment and bordering on poor rather than average, so I am being generous with 3 stars. The food was tasty enough and the wine very drinkable. When we arrived the restaurant was full and despite reserving a table well in advance, we were given what must have been the worst table in the place. If it wasn't for the fact that we were hungry and were on a time limit we would have walked. The table was next to the toilet, opposite a store cupboard, had a view of a rubbish bin and was also next to the washing up room with clattering dishes all night. Service was surly to say the least, one waitress was OK the other was rude, dismissive and clearly didn't want to be there. Sadly, the overall experience tonight means that we won't return and will look next time towards Clapham Junction where we know there are some Thai restaurants that actually want your custom. I seriously considered removing the added automatic 12.5% service charge from the bill but couldn't be bothered with the hassle so just paid up and left. Disappointing in the extreme!"

"thaikun was very consistent in the past, but it was slipped lately. during this visit I had the legendary KSG-curry, which was obscene salty. I couldn't taste anything else. not the seasoned, meat, only saltiness. that pampered my experience and felt that the presentation of the teller was a bit of a gimmick and awkward to eat. the starters and were always the best of thaikun. the wings, bark stripes and dumplings were good, it's just a canvas, the main she pulled down"

"One evening during our stay in Oxford, we decided to explore the dining options on George Street. We noticed a colorful and uniquely decorated restaurant across the street that caught our attention. Craving Thai food, we entered the restaurant and were impressed by its spacious layout on multiple levels. The friendly host guided us to a cozy table downstairs, where the decor resembled a bustling Thai street market. The menu offered a wide variety of options, and we started with a Lychee gin fizz and a refreshing Singha beer. For appetizers, we enjoyed the flavorful Chili Squid before diving into our main dishes of Spicy Seafood Noodles and Fried Organic Tofu with Cashew nuts and steamed jasmine rice. "First time ever in this place and it definitely won't be our last. We fell in love with how authentic this place looks. Then the staff were super friendly, polite and absolutely fantastic at their job. The food was 2nd to none. We ordered some appetizers then our mains and along with a couple of drinks each I was surprised our bill wasn't more expensive than it was. The flavours if the dishes we ordered were astonishing, absolutely bursting with taste and authentic flavours of the Orient.
