"First and foremost, the service was excellent! Our server was funny, friendly and attentive, really can't fault her at all! The food was decent. We started with the seafood platter and all was very tasty though a little sparse for the price. Would suit 2 or 3 people, but for 4 it isn't a lot. The fish and chips was met with approval, so was the seabream on specials. The roasted cod dish was very nice though perhaps a little fussy? Could probably do with one less ingredient as the fish drowned in the other tastes, but it was nice and the fish very well made. The ambience gets a downgrade as there were a table of influencers in the middle of the room with a great big portable spotlight (to better light the food they weren't eating until it went cold??? which was highly distracting together with their constant photographing. I wish the restaurant hadn't put them right in the middle of the restaurant, it was annoying. Other than that, the restaurant was lovely and does warrant a return visit!"

"I've eaten an all decent Viet restaurants in London and used to love Viet Grill, but my last experience was my last, arrived Saturday at lunch time, not too busy but as only two of us, got sat at a table against wall in rear of restaurant, really? Meanwhile there is a lovely bank of seat long rear of restaurant vacant except setting up for the staff lunch. I did manage a better table but ordering and then long wait for food, meanwhile the staff table began to fill up with food. It was 13:30, think you need to pay attention to customers food first. Finally ordered the Pho, no salad/bean sprouts/greens came. When I paid for the bill, the young lady said I had to request this if I wanted it with the Pho. Seriously? So service has gotten really poor and I won't eat here anymore, go to Tay Do, much better service and less expensive"

"Not having been before, we reserved a table for Friday lunchtime. No need, nobody else ate there but deliveroo were in and out all the time. The food was amazing, especially the sushi and sashimi. Offered fish not normally served in our local Japanese restaurant. Tempura was good. However, there was no heating and we froze. When we mentioned this we were told it was winter! I would love to eat here again but wouldn't book. If it was really cold I'd leave and eat at one of the many restaurants nearby. Or perhaps a takeaway."

"the service became somewhat slow as soon as the space is filled. the noise was acceptable, but not ideal. the restaurant is clean, but there is not much ambiente or space. I didn't try her very spicy curries for which they are famous. their idea of mild is still quite sharp for the European taste if they are not used to it, and they had no letise to wash it by pretending that they went out, although we came to dinner too early. but the rita, the lemon rice, the brote were excellent."

"Special mention to Rahul, he was absolutely lovely and such a kind soul, he went above and beyond to ensure my sister’s graduation meal was comfortable and perfect. The buffet was so delicious and accessible, with a variety of both meat and vegetarian dishes which was exactly what my family and I were looking for. The drinks were so refreshing and tasty, I definitely recommend the Nojito! "Had been looking forward to visiting the Brisley Bell for years and finally decided to book a celebration meal there. The setting is incredible the interior design is amazing. The staff were really friendly and welcoming. But sadly that was all let down by what we were there for the food. We were expecting something pretty special but found it pretty bland and uninspiring. The cod with new potatoes and broccoli in particular. It appeared to all be boiled with a packet mix sauce."

"I regret to write this review as i had been a big fan of number unfortunately we shared a beef sharing platter which was the meat was very fatty and the potatoes were dry as if they had been around a while. Apart from that it was a lovely experience but i will not be returning due to the meat quality, don't know if we just got a bad batch? Yorkshires and flavour of the rest of the meal was stunning"

"Went here for our 5 year wedding anniversary meal and had the calamari and sesame prawn toasts for starters, followed by the seafood platter, which was incredible. "Good service with welcome recommendations from the very friendly waiter. Food was cooked and presented well. We were a table of four and all enjoyed our courses. Twelve and a half percent service charge was added to our bill which we were happy to pay but the waiter told us this did not include a tip for him??? Never known this before, we left a little extra but it slightly marred what was a very enjoyable meal."

"The restaurant wasn’t full but it was busy. The waitress explained there was a big party and made sure she got our order in first which was good. But overall, service felt slow. The staff waiting on tables didn’t seem that experienced and needed to be told to clear the tables. The food was nice but there wasn’t any proactive advice about ordering sides, I needed to ask. The duck was lovely but it came with nothing else. Sides were a must and that should’ve been explained when ordering. Luckily we had enough chips and salad spare from other plates. It was ok but not enough for me to return"

Our server, Joseph, was professional and attentive. The only downside was that some of the leather seat cushions were in need of repair, which detracted from the overall elegant atmosphere. "Had an early dinner here with friends and a table at 5.30 on a Saturday so relatively quiet. This was great as it meant really good service sadly something hard to find post Covid/Brexit. I had the Devilled Whitebait (lovely) followed by Smoked Haddock bubble squeak with a poached egg which was gorgeous. Didn't leave a morsel. Absolutely recommend."
