"Food very nice but not particularly memorable. The curry portions are very large so I prefer to share number of them with a group. It’s a shame they only serve Thali at lunch so I couldn’t order for dinner. Ambience it’s one big room with the tables spaced out nicely so not too cramped. We had a nice table in the corner. Staff they were pleasant but it was hard to get their attention. It’s one of those places where specific staff are looking after your area of the restaurant so you can’t just ask anyone for something. Overall, it was a nice choice to go there with a group of friends and some good food."

"Celebrated our anniversary today Sunday 12 September 2021 lunch time. Service was absolutely spot on. Actually the best I have experienced in a restaurant. the manager Deepak was very efficient and ran the floor with precision. All staff were friendly and did not need prompting. The environment and the decor were really good as well. The food was really flavorful.. not too big portions but to be expected of a fine dining establishment. The chef really does know how to make the food sing. Drinks and desserts were also top notch. It is not cheap but the set menus do help keep the price reasonable. My little one was made to feel comfortable as well even though not too many people would associate fine dining restaurants being child friendly although do be mindful they don't allow children late in the evening. Nice touch was a anniversary message and cake complimentary of the restaurant which was much appreciated. Definitely will visit again for our next special occasion. Good luck to the restaurant and its team."

"Food was delicious. I felt that the rice to share was certainly very small and we were eating from the a La carte menu. We asked for desert and a coffee they didn’t have the desert we wanted and the coffee machine was out of order. I also asked for irn bru and they didn’t have that either. Overall was a nice meal, however let down by lack of things on the menu."

"Following the principle 'good ought to be sought ', we scanned through reviews here on TripAdvisor to look a good Nihari place and found 'Karachi Pakwan '. I called ahead to reserve a table and to get a 'feel ' for the service/people, it went well. Upon arrival, we were greeted by Nofel as soon as we entered the restaurant and seated. We were pleasantly surprised by the inviting ambience, warm plates, clean cutlery and spotless glasses. (You 'd be surprised how rare the last 3 are at Pakistani restaurants) Our host recommended masala fish whilst we 'd wait for our main which we thought tasted excellent. Our main, Nihari with Kulchas was served at our requested time. The kulchas were fresh and perhaps the nicest we had at any Pakistani restaurant. Nihari was good enough, albeit I did think it could have done with a bit of (fat) trimming. Regardless, the taste didn 't disappoint. We had no room to try their recommended falooda (or even a sweet paan) but we shall in our next visit. The restaurant is about 90 minutes drive from us BUT worth it. Our previous Nihari restaurant (in West Hendon) is half that distance but declining service had costed them our custom of 10 years. We shall be returning to Karachi Pakwan for more."

"To my surprise, many restaurants are closed on Sunday evening in London. Every time I looked up a vegan restaurant on Happy Cow, it turned out it was closed. Since it was late and I was hungry, I had no other option than to select a vegetarian restaurant close by. 1947 Restaurant and Bar is both an Indian and Italian restaurant. The entire menu is vegetarian, however only around 20% is vegan. Many more meals can be made vegan, but so many of them had cheese listed as an ingredient that I didn 't want to run the risk. What if there 's an error in communication between the waitress and the kitchen? Or what if the chef accidentally adds cheese out of habit? I had lots of time to make up my mind, because even though the restaurant was very quiet it took a long time until the waitress came to take my order. I selected vegan biryani because I like biryani and because I 've tried it at so many restaurants that it 's easy to compare. It took a long time for the biryani to be prepared, but then it was served beautifully and smelled divine (as it should be). However, compared to other restaurants it 's a rather simple biryani. It has only one kind of rice (it is often served with both white and yellow rice) and only a few vegetables. There was no tofu, mushroom, potato, no nuts or any protein source. Also, the yoghurt was missing (which is used to extinguish the fire caused by the spices). The portion was generous and the taste was good. Although it was mentioned on the menu, 1947 Restaurant and Bar adds a 12.5% service tax. Why don 't restaurants just increase all prices on the menu instead of giving the customers a nasty surprise at the end?"

"What an absolute find! We happened on this restaurant while visiting Chelsea. TPH is an elegant restaurant featuring a wonderful balance of mainstream dishes with a sophisticated twist. A perfect example is the samosa appetizer. Light and fluffy on the inside and delicately crisp on the outside. This would have been great on it’s on own but was served with a chickpea stew combining a wonderful blend of herbs and spices that made it one of the best things I’ve eaten in quite some time. The menu features rich, textured curries, perfectly tender meats, fresh seafood and veggie dishes served by a gracious husband and wife team who truly care about your dining experience. All this and not while not putting a big dent in your pocketbook. We will definitely be back."

"I have tried the best karak chai ever at this restaurant. I am a fan of its sweet taste and the perfectly balanced sugar in the drink. The restaurant also offers an amazing selection of cakes and sweets. "Firstly the staff were very nice, the food is also very nice, the negative point would be that there is no one to arrange for you to sit,when tables were free, I was with my husband and my child, we're waiting for seats, some ladies came after us and sat down on two seat to make sure they got table when the people got up, One of the girl from that group even said they are a family waiting for seat to which she replied that's their luck, they should have their seats, we didn't want to intrude others eating that's why weren't jumping on seats, but aside from that I would definitely say this place a try."

"for the first time I and my partner visited the seasoned quarter on a weekend trip to cardiff. the staff was happy and friendly. our waiter was very nice, he explained everything on the menu, pulled out our chairs for us. certain service with a smile. the food was absolutely delicious and there was a lot of it! we really enjoyed it. the only negatiw was that the drinks are very expensive and that eating is a bit expensive. but it was worth everything, and we would visit again!"

"Indian theme Resturant located next to temple in Wembley. I was impressed with their wraps around Harrow and Wembley , as per my experience they serve good quality and portioned wraps with Masala chips. Try their Cottage cheese wraps for £4.99 , it's fresh and made with fresh tandoori naan. The owners has planned and well executed theme of the Resturant as authentic to Indian Bollywood. They have also imported Royal Enfield bike and kept at display in the entrance which is impressive. The service is great and they follow the protocol for Covid. They have limited parking in front of the Resturant. Overall good experience so far."

However, we finally decided to give it a chance last week, and we had a surprisingly wonderful experience. "My first visit to chaiwala 100% will be my last .. the food tasted like it was made a week ago just heated. The pav bhaji had absolutely no taste the chicken tikka was hard, rubbery, and tasted like it had been cooked days ago.. the chips were cold had a load of ketchup poured over the top. I was so disappointed after spending nearly £20 did not touch any of it. Your standards are way below expected you really do need to sort this out. The worst experience ever I will not be returning.
