"I have been a lifelong fan of Japanese cuisine and went most recently went to Tokyo in 2019. Chisou stands above the crowd of all fine dining Japanese restaurants I've been to outside Japan. My mum had been there one time prior and had an...amazing experience, my father and I both went for the first time tonight with her. The menu is a complex and interesting overview of all Japanese cuisine highlights, including a comprehensive menu of Sushi/Sashimi, Noodles (Udon/Soba), Teriyaki/Tempura, and some delightful takes on the traditional izakaya offering. They also offer an extensive sake menu, with some very unique items that complement whatever you choose to order. Beyond their superbly cultivated menu, the service at Chisou can only be described as exceptional. The entire staff truly care if you are having a good time, and are happily there to provide advice on guiding you through your meal. My dad is not a huge fan of raw seafood, and the sushi chef took an interest in challenging his hesitations- he offered us an incredible smoked mackerel as an amuse-bouche to test if my dad would like it, and he did. We ordered a number of starters- the gyoza, fried oysters, uni, and chuuka seaweed salad- all were superb. I was extremely impressed at the freshness and quality of the ingredients, as well as the beauty and care with presentation. For his main, my dad ordered the tofu steak, which was the most velvety and flavourful tofu we have had outside of our favourite place in Tokyo (called I <3 Gyoza). My mum and I had the sashimi omekase for 2, and the consideration from the chef was beyond exceptional. He asked us our preferences, my mum is a fan of ami ebi, I love tako and ika- all 3 were of the highest quality I've experienced. He also took a great interest in how we were enjoying things and continually provided advice or information about what we were eating. The waiting staff was also extremely caring and fun to speak with, and really were happy to see that we enjoyed ourselves. The manager also gave us a wonderful recommendation of an undistilled sake to go with our desserts, that was simply fabulous. Chisou is not just truly fantastic dining in terms of quality of food and service, but a theatrical experience that will make you feel as if you've teleported from London right into a Japanese izakaya. We have already booked a reservation to go back tomorrow and I cannot wait."

"This restaurant offers the best Japanese and Korean fusion dishes I've tried since relocating from the West coast of the US to the UK. The service is attentive and you will be well taken care of. Parking is available for a fee, but it may be free after 6 pm. Wheelchair accessibility is no problem, just inform them in advance. Dinner is the main meal type and the price per person ranges from £20 to £30."

"I made a reservation for a table for seven people online. When we arrived at the appointed time, we were seated immediately. The server took our drink orders promptly. We started with some delicious sides and Prawn Crackers with a sweet chili dip as appetizers. The mains were served one after the other, each dish freshly cooked and exceptional. I have dined here multiple times and will continue to come back."

"Mildreds is a staple of the London Vegan Scene. I can't believe I’m only writing a review of it now We went to the branch in Soho before watching Les Mis and decided to just share a few of the small plates instead of having a big plate and some starters, as we would normally do. You get to try a lot more things this way, and their small plates are delicious! Honestly, there wasn't anything we ate that I wouldn't order again, but there were definitely a couple of standouts that I hope they never take off the menu. Topping the list is their Sweet Potato Leek Tortelloni, which comes with a lovely leek cream that is somehow both rich and smooth. Also amazing is their Whipped F'ta topped with roasted cherry tomatoes and oregano which is just perfect to dip their grilled pita on. There's still so much on their menu that I haven't tried. "Staff were very attentive and checked on us regularly throughout the meal asking if we needed more drinks etc. the food is amazing, we ordered a variety of dishes to share between the 4 of us so that we could sample as much as possible. The squid portion was generous and tasted delicious and the bang bang shrimp were also really good. We had the bulgogi beef skewers and aubergine skewers both were tasty but the beef ones were very flavoursome and my favourite dish of all. The desserts are also really tasty passion fruit cheesecake was deconstructed and has a hidden layer of passion fruit sauce underneath to add extra zing. The only fault would be the cookie dough would have benefitted from more ice cream as it was a little sickly after a while."

"I can't say that it's the best Japanese place I've ever visited, still the best in soho, but it's a really decent place to eat. the place I could go back to if I was quite hungry and in the opposite, but not the kind of place where I would go out of mine to come. the eating is mixed, some dinge were really good and many of it was very average. "This was the most disgusting overpriced Thai food I have ever had. Tom Khan soup was like water, sour and had undercooked chewy chicken in it. Floating strips of tomato skin and frozen mushrooms in it. Duck spring rolls 4 tiny finger size spring rolls that probably came from Iceland. No duck in them and the odd one completely different. All with a tablespoon of sad salad on plate for £8. Pad Thai was not pad Thai. Asked for prawn and was given chewy chicken again. Disgusting dis for £18. Not once did any staff come over and ask if everything was OK. They were sat eating their food which was probably not what we are served. Worst experience ever"

"For our dinner, we both decided to try the special dishes on the menu. I chose the tamarind duck with a side of sticky rice. I remembered having duck at a market during lunchtime before. The duck tasted delicious, especially when cooked with tamarind, which gave it a warm flavor. The dish was served with a twist of red and green peppers, all covered in a sauce with a unique name, "gai yang som tum khao niew." I would recommend asking for the dish by name if you want to try it. It is a typical regional Thai dish consisting of grilled chicken and papaya salad served with sticky rice."

"If I could give this place less than 1 star I would. I ordered at 6:45pm and they told me food would arrive by 8pm (which is already a very long time). When the food did come, only 3 items out of 7 were there and those 3 items were cold! I rang this place and told them the situation and they were extremely rude to me. After a while they agreed to send the missing items but it is now 2 hours later and nothing has come! I have tried to ring them for the last hour and it always says User Busy! They have stolen my money and done it with no shame! Do not order or eat from here"
