"Lovely decor, good service from our young waiter. The food was delicious, though there was one negative that took away a 5 star experience. We ordered from the record menu, 3 dishes each. We both received 2 dishes, with a wait of about 10 minutes for both souvlaki. On the plus side, my friend got a free Greek coffee as she hasn't had it before. Definitely worth a visit though"

"This restaurant in the midlands serves the best gyros, no doubt about it. They generously fill it with chicken or pork, along with what can only be described as Wetherspoons-style chips. Just be sure to request it with tzatziki, as they have mistakenly used mustard in the past. While some reviews mention friendly staff, I did not have the same experience. Regardless, the tasty wrap makes up for it."

"My husband, son and 2 daughters and I came for dinner at The Granary on July 17th. My son had really wanted to try Haggis and our Airbnb was just minutes away. We liked the atmosphere and the location and the menu had lots of options. Service was a little inconsistent we were given menus by one person; the orders were taken by a server; and the food was brought by other servers . I ordered a non alcoholic Menebrea Italian beer (0.0% from one waiter and was brought a 4.8% Menebrea (by a different person who did not take the order . Glad I checked! He took the beer away and brought the correct non alcoholic Menebrea. We ordered lots of items off the menu (Soup, Haggis Bon Bons, Haggis Neeps and Tatties, Pretzel Chicken Club, Granary Burger and fries, Caesar Salad with Chicken, Harissa Cauliflower. My husband had two Innis and Gunn IPA's, and we also ordered Short Mill Bay Chardonnay and Ginger Beer. I mentioned to the server clearing that it was all very good except that my Burger and Fries were very lukewarm when they were brought to the table. That part was disappointing but I just didn't want to delay things by asking for it to be rectified."

"Visited today with a friend, he had been to the other restaurant they have on Allerton Road and enjoyed it. So we were keen to see what the one on Hardman Street was like. Our visits was a Thursday evening and the restaurant was pretty quiet. We were seated quickly, the server gave us the option of where we sat. We were given menus and a glass bottle of ice cold water was given to us. We soon ordered our drinks, a Diet Coke and beer and went for a version of a mixed grill they do for 2. This contained chicken and pork kebabs, sliced chicken, lamb chop, chips, coldslaw, pitta and a spicy gravy. The table was prepared for this and the food was out in 15-20 minutes. The food was excellent, the kebabs and sliced chicken were well cooked and everything had a unique flavour. We are hungry guys but this tray of food filled us easily. The servers was attentive but not overly fussing. They regularly checked all was okay and the food was nice. When we finished. Our table was cleared and much to my surprise we were brought 2 brownies with cream, on the house. These were really nice and although small, it perfectly capped the meal. We were in there roughly 1 and a half hours, and the whole experience was pleasant. The restaurants decor is traditional and clean. The bill came and for the meal for 2 and the drinks only came to £38. Absolute bargain. Highly recommend, we will be back."

"Had seen Zeus Greek takeaway when driving through Seaview. It looked like somewhere I would like to eat. Thought it was just a kebab takeout, so when I fancied a kebab for dinner I knew where I was going to go. After a minute...wait I got something I wasn’t expecting. Not your average kebab at all. It was freshly cooked, served with salad and a delicious yoghurt sauce and a Greek bread. I was blown away. It tasted amazing! I would totally recommend it and was good value for money. For five people it was about We couldn’t finish all our food. If you fancy something a little different than your average takeout it’s definitely worth a visit."

"Today I went to @georgesfishbar In #southwoodford which isn’t just your usual fish and chip bar, they also serve the yummiest Greek Cypriot food too George’s was established in 2006 has since won so many different awards for their food- which you can view on their website. On arrival I was greeted by the owner himself George who made me feel so welcome. The shop was very busy with queues out of the door but After trying their food I could sure see why ! Tonight I had their chicken Gyros, Chips, Halloumi, Greek Salad, Cod, my parents had a chicken souvlakia each. All of the food was just so delicious !! The gyros was the best I’ve ever had. The meat was ever so fresh and tender and the actual gyros in pitta was bursting with so much flavour. The chips were the best I’ve ever had too and my parents also agreed. They had a gorgeous sweet taste to them and were cooked to pure perfection and trust me it’s definitely possible to mess chips up. The chips were also lovely thick just how I love them to be. The chicken souvlakia was also gorgeous the chicken was very tender there was plenty of it as was there plenty of salad. The fish was also delicious extremely meaty and more fish than batter which is what I love as usually most fish bars tend to give you mainly batter and hardly any fish!! All of @georgesfishbar food is 10/10 from me and extremely high quality as well as huge portions. You can definitely see how much love and effort goes into their food that all of the ingredients used are of the highest quality. The fish bar itself is also spotlessly clean and covid safe. I definitely recommend everyone to try @georgesfishbar whether it’s for just fish and chips or Greek Cypriot food or both. You won’t be disappointed ! @georgesfishbar is currently undergoing Renovation but will be open fully very soon when restaurants are allowed to reopen for seating inside. "Came in on a Friday night with a group of friends and had a really lovely meal. Our waiter was Mikey big legend, very attentive and with excellent hair who was thoroughly lovely the whole evening. We had some pitta breads with an array of lovely dips to start. We then moved on to a salad with halloumi and pomegranate and I had a veggie moussaka for the main course which took proceedings to a whole new level. Mikey then recommended the galaktoboureko for pudding, which was out of this world it's a gooey sponge wrapped in flaky pastry and soaked in an orange glaze. Big recommendation from me. All in all, it was a great evening with delicious food and amazing service."

"Excellent night-out food that absolutely hit the spot after a few drinks out. I'd be interested to go when sober and see if it was as good as I think it was, but it definitely seemed delicious at the time. "I absolutely adore this place - it boasts a truly unique concept with top-notch food and drinks. I frequent this restaurant twice a day, starting off with a light breakfast from the fridge and a small KBK box for lunch. I even bring home one for my wife! The ingredients are fresh and delicious, with a wide variety of protein, veggies, grains, and sauces to choose from. The portion sizes are very generous and neatly packed in the box. It's definitely worth every penny. I've had one questionable experience here, but everyone has their off days, so I can overlook it. Out of the 30 visits I've made in the last few months, only one has been a miss. The atmosphere and the staff are both fantastic - always courteous and ready to assist. I highly recommend this place to everyone."

"First of all, the looks of the female waiters in the restaurant were very disturbing and they never listened while ordering and spoke in their own language. I think I understood what they were saying for us. The male waiters were very friendly and welcomed. I ordered kebab lava cake etc. . It's a very noisy place in terms of atmosphere. My friend and I could barely hear each other. People are talking very loudly. I suggest you eat your food without talking and leave"

"A meeting of friends was the reason for our visit. On arrival, after being shown to our table, we gave a drinks order which was brought quickly by the pleasant waitress. The extensive menu gave plenty of choice, although predominantly Italian. Alongside the main menu which offered a two course or three course fixed price menu, was also a specials board with a number of other tempting dishes. My companions decided on a two course menu, and I plumped for just one course, the Cajun prawn sizzler. This came with side salad, coleslaw, corn on the cob, chips and onion rings. The prawns were plump and juicy and served on a bed of peppers and onions. A very good sized portion. My friend chose a chicken calzone served with a tomato sauce and was packed with filling, and was very tasty. Our other companion chose Italian meatballs served with risotto rice and salad. She also was impressed with her meal, being a good portion and nicely presented. Although I did not have a dessert, but a coffee, both friends chose a chocolate orange cake with cream and a salted caramel cake with ice cream . The first was a large slice of a light orange cake, which reported as delicious. The salted caramel cake was lovely, however a little sickly and my friend was unable to finish her portion. A total of £60 for 3 mains and 2 desserts with 4 soft drinks and 3 hot drinks. Great value for a delicious meal. One word of criticism a terrible draught from an open door on an icy evening is not a pleasant experience. It was impossible to get warm again after this and my friend ended up wearing her coat towards the end of our meal. Did affect our comfort and enjoyment on this occasion. Mentioned to waitress but little she could do."

"we only had one night in Darlington as it was a stop of on our holiday and so we could only book one meal but we sure did book a great place. The menu is very diverse with plenty of choice for all tastes, the food was extremely tasty and bursting with flavour and of high quality the prices were average but we got excellent food and excellent service the waiting staff were incredibly helpful and helped us a lot as one of our party had an unusual allergy, its obvious that the staff here really care about their customers and will go above and beyond to make the diners have a pleasant experience, the only downside is the room at the back of the restaurant is very echoey and it only took a couple of loud diners on nearby tables to make the background sound very piecing, I would definitely recommend some sound diffuser blocks on the wall in this room, apart from this everything was pretty much perfect."

"About 300m south west of Haymarket station along Dalry road, beautiful small restaurant. I highly recommend going there for regional nights a monthly (or could be quarterly) event , fixed cost unlimited set menu covering cuisines of the chosen region with regional music etc . I was there about 3 weeks ago for Brazilian night and about a year ago for Indian night... both were very good and very popular (crowded in a good way). On a regular day, it is less busy but going without a reservation might not be a good idea. Food is good simple but tastes great and menu is always changing and ideal for vegetarians struggling to find something more than just salad as they have some good veg dishes."
