"Lovely decor, good service from our young waiter. The food was delicious, though there was one negative that took away a 5 star experience. We ordered from the record menu, 3 dishes each. We both received 2 dishes, with a wait of about 10 minutes for both souvlaki. On the plus side, my friend got a free Greek coffee as she hasn't had it before. Definitely worth a visit though"

"We went to this restaurant for a friend's birthday celebration and ordered the GF options from the sharing menu. The staff member was fantastic, explaining everything to me and even added an extra GF item from the main menu so we didn't just have a double serving of a starter. They also allowed my partner to order a non-GF starter for free. The food was delicious and all the staff were aware of my dietary requirements. It was a really positive experience and we will definitely be returning."

"My husband, son and 2 daughters and I came for dinner at The Granary on July 17th. My son had really wanted to try Haggis and our Airbnb was just minutes away. We liked the atmosphere and the location and the menu had lots of options. Service was a little inconsistent we were given menus by one person; the orders were taken by a server; and the food was brought by other servers . I ordered a non alcoholic Menebrea Italian beer (0.0% from one waiter and was brought a 4.8% Menebrea (by a different person who did not take the order . Glad I checked! He took the beer away and brought the correct non alcoholic Menebrea. We ordered lots of items off the menu (Soup, Haggis Bon Bons, Haggis Neeps and Tatties, Pretzel Chicken Club, Granary Burger and fries, Caesar Salad with Chicken, Harissa Cauliflower. My husband had two Innis and Gunn IPA's, and we also ordered Short Mill Bay Chardonnay and Ginger Beer. I mentioned to the server clearing that it was all very good except that my Burger and Fries were very lukewarm when they were brought to the table. That part was disappointing but I just didn't want to delay things by asking for it to be rectified."

"Visited today with a friend, he had been to the other restaurant they have on Allerton Road and enjoyed it. So we were keen to see what the one on Hardman Street was like. Our visits was a Thursday evening and the restaurant was pretty quiet. We were seated quickly, the server gave us the option of where we sat. We were given menus and a glass bottle of ice cold water was given to us. We soon ordered our drinks, a Diet Coke and beer and went for a version of a mixed grill they do for 2. This contained chicken and pork kebabs, sliced chicken, lamb chop, chips, coldslaw, pitta and a spicy gravy. The table was prepared for this and the food was out in 15-20 minutes. The food was excellent, the kebabs and sliced chicken were well cooked and everything had a unique flavour. We are hungry guys but this tray of food filled us easily. The servers was attentive but not overly fussing. They regularly checked all was okay and the food was nice. When we finished. Our table was cleared and much to my surprise we were brought 2 brownies with cream, on the house. These were really nice and although small, it perfectly capped the meal. We were in there roughly 1 and a half hours, and the whole experience was pleasant. The restaurants decor is traditional and clean. The bill came and for the meal for 2 and the drinks only came to £38. Absolute bargain. Highly recommend, we will be back."

"Had seen Zeus Greek takeaway when driving through Seaview. It looked like somewhere I would like to eat. Thought it was just a kebab takeout, so when I fancied a kebab for dinner I knew where I was going to go. After a minute...wait I got something I wasn’t expecting. Not your average kebab at all. It was freshly cooked, served with salad and a delicious yoghurt sauce and a Greek bread. I was blown away. It tasted amazing! I would totally recommend it and was good value for money. For five people it was about We couldn’t finish all our food. If you fancy something a little different than your average takeout it’s definitely worth a visit."

"Today I went to @georgesfishbar In #southwoodford which isn’t just your usual fish and chip bar, they also serve the yummiest Greek Cypriot food too George’s was established in 2006 has since won so many different awards for their food- which you can view on their website. On arrival I was greeted by the owner himself George who made me feel so welcome. The shop was very busy with queues out of the door but After trying their food I could sure see why ! Tonight I had their chicken Gyros, Chips, Halloumi, Greek Salad, Cod, my parents had a chicken souvlakia each. All of the food was just so delicious !! The gyros was the best I’ve ever had. The meat was ever so fresh and tender and the actual gyros in pitta was bursting with so much flavour. The chips were the best I’ve ever had too and my parents also agreed. They had a gorgeous sweet taste to them and were cooked to pure perfection and trust me it’s definitely possible to mess chips up. The chips were also lovely thick just how I love them to be. The chicken souvlakia was also gorgeous the chicken was very tender there was plenty of it as was there plenty of salad. The fish was also delicious extremely meaty and more fish than batter which is what I love as usually most fish bars tend to give you mainly batter and hardly any fish!! All of @georgesfishbar food is 10/10 from me and extremely high quality as well as huge portions. You can definitely see how much love and effort goes into their food that all of the ingredients used are of the highest quality. The fish bar itself is also spotlessly clean and covid safe. I definitely recommend everyone to try @georgesfishbar whether it’s for just fish and chips or Greek Cypriot food or both. You won’t be disappointed ! @georgesfishbar is currently undergoing Renovation but will be open fully very soon when restaurants are allowed to reopen for seating inside. "I absolutely adore this place - it boasts a truly unique concept with top-notch food and drinks. I frequent this restaurant twice a day, starting off with a light breakfast from the fridge and a small KBK box for lunch. I even bring home one for my wife! The ingredients are fresh and delicious, with a wide variety of protein, veggies, grains, and sauces to choose from. The portion sizes are very generous and neatly packed in the box. It's definitely worth every penny. I've had one questionable experience here, but everyone has their off days, so I can overlook it. Out of the 30 visits I've made in the last few months, only one has been a miss. The atmosphere and the staff are both fantastic - always courteous and ready to assist. I highly recommend this place to everyone."

"called on the 08/02/2022 to reserve a table for valentines day by the window. I was told that 's no problem . I had called a few times including the same day of my reservation to make sure the booking was written down with the request of the window (not wanting to get there and there was no communication of my request). I was assured this would be fine and not to worry I 've been to this restaurant a few times and like the atmosphere so chose it for valentines day. So we turned up only to be seated no where near the window! What is the point of making a reservation and being told its fine for where I requested to sit if you can 't fulfil this? I won 't be returning again . A whole week in advance, plus calling 2 hours before the reservation time to make sure and you just seated us anywhere and no where near where we asked for!."

"we only had one night in Darlington as it was a stop of on our holiday and so we could only book one meal but we sure did book a great place. The menu is very diverse with plenty of choice for all tastes, the food was extremely tasty and bursting with flavour and of high quality the prices were average but we got excellent food and excellent service the waiting staff were incredibly helpful and helped us a lot as one of our party had an unusual allergy, its obvious that the staff here really care about their customers and will go above and beyond to make the diners have a pleasant experience, the only downside is the room at the back of the restaurant is very echoey and it only took a couple of loud diners on nearby tables to make the background sound very piecing, I would definitely recommend some sound diffuser blocks on the wall in this room, apart from this everything was pretty much perfect."

"After our first visit we were only too happy to come again, this time with family. But this time it didn't live up to the same standards. Three people ordered medium rare steaks. When they came out one was clearly well done so we complained to our waitress. She disappeared with the steak to discuss it with the chef but didn't apologise. She returned with the original steak saying that the chef said that was how he always cooked medium rare steak. We said this was unacceptable so she took the plate away again. When she subsequently brought it back, whilst it was better it now had peppercorn sauce on instead of the mushroom sauce as ordered. So it was sent back again. Finally a satisfactory outcome but by this time the rest of us had just about finished. We also had an issue with a food intolerance with one of our desserts. Overall a very disappointing experience. We never received an apology and didn't leave a tip (almost unheard of for me as I am usually extremely generous). We haven't been back as there are much better places we have found subsequently that offer better food, service and at a more reasonable price."

"This was our first visit to this restaurant and we were impressed by the friendly and attentive staff. The atmosphere was airy, bright, and nicely decorated with Greek decor. As newcomers to Greek cuisine, we received helpful suggestions from the menu and decided on the chicken gyros, sweet potatoes and halloumi burger, and a side of mixed vegetables in a delicious tomato sauce. Our total bill came to £36.50, which included two small glasses of wine. We were very pleased with everything and left feeling happy."

"We were in Jellyfish for the second time. The first time a year ago. At that time there were still Corona editions, in any case there were fewer tables in the already small place. And last time we had a better table. This time, we sat right in the “incoming snow” kitchen and toilet... suboptimal for a romantic dinner. One or two times the food was faster than the wine tasting and we had to wait a minute, that should not happen. But the food itself was as usual and expected excellent. We'll be happy to come back when we're in Hamburg."
