"After seeing the amazing pictures on facebook we decided to give this place a chance. Upon walking in we were hit in the face by the most powerful wet dog smell, I looked at the tired people sitting at the bar and thought seating must be upstairs or another part of the building we were taken around the corner where there are aprox 8 tables and were given menus covered in dried food. We decided to stick it out and ordered two mains from the menu thinking it would be worth it if the food was nice. We were the second customers in the restaurant area. the first couple were served their food yet after sitting for an hour still no food was brought out to us. A family who arrived a good 45 minutes after us were served their starters and i could see a few dishes here and there beings served with no apparent system in place. Another couple who had been there almost as long as us got up and left, thats when we also realised it was time to cut our losses and go. I asked the waitress if we could pay for the two cokes we ordered and at that point there was still no suggestion that the food was almost ready so we left. Overall thoughts, Building is VERY tired like a working mans club, very understaffed, dirty floor, dirty menus, terrible customer service, a very poor mumbled apology as we left about a kitchen staff not turning up to work."

"Was recommended lunch her by a local car dealership. It was busy. Parking not great. Tight few spaces. Then its on the main road. Almost gave up, but someone left. Nice surroundings. Not many staff. Ordered lunch, which took almost an hour. A mixed grill for my hubby. Which was substantial and tasty. I had a prawn cocktail only as I wasnt that hungry. Sorely dissapointed. A load of dark green lettuce. On a plate with some prawns in sauce thrown at it and 4 triangles of stale brown bread. No cucumber, no tomato. Should have ordered a prawn sanwich. Same things only much cheaper. Service: 3 Location: 3"

"So disappointed! We ordered 2 x regular grill halloumi and vegs, 1 spinach pastry and 1 dessert. When I opened the bag my first impression was only greasy paper bags inside, no a proper take away boxes. Our meal was called: Grilled halloumi and vegs...There were only 1 small slice of halloumi per person, grilled pepper, onions and chips and no yogurt sauce (something they made me angry). They sent us a cheese pastry instead of the spinach one and small dessert portion.I called and they told me that if I wanted more halloumi I should have ordered the larger option, something that made me laugh when the main is called Halloumi with vegs, but wow, only one slice of halloumi per person? Really?I paid £20 and we were still hungry after dinner. Also the packing was a paper bag. If someone is going to eat there then fair enough but for a deliveroo service I expected better quality, it was all messy in the bag.Really bad experience sorry."

"Went last night with 4 people to celebrate my birthday. We ordered food to share (pizzas, loaded nachos and meat platters) and it was all lovely. Well presented, tasty and left us all feeling full and content! The staff who served us were friendly, polite and attentive. Will definitely be visiting again to try something else off the menu."

"Just had to put pen to paper to say what a fantastic and delightful experience it was eating at this restaurant today. Having just moved to the area from Yorkshire we drove out today to explore the local area, visiting Castle Douglas. Seeing this restaurant...brought a smile to our faces as three years ago we honeymooned in Greece. We have tried eating in Greek restaurants in Yorkshire to recreate the Greek experience but everyone has been disappointing. Although busy today the front of house girls were very friendly and accommodating and managed to fit us in and made us feel welcome. We ordered the meze starter for two as well as two main courses and wow the food was incredible. The authentic taste of the food was enough to transport us back to Greece three years ago. We were blown away by the food, the front of house staff and obviously the kitchen staff and chefs who made eating at Nikos such an enjoyable experience. We had a lovely day out in a lovely town. Without any shadow of a doubt we will be back to sample more delights. Authentic Greek cuisine has really been captured here in Scotland."

"Probably one of the “closest to actually being in Greece” restaurants in Edinburgh. The food is very authentic and has that Greek home-cooking style. The gigantes (giant butter beans) are particularly worth a mention. The menu is a little small, with some solid Greek staples missing (dolmadakia, yemista etc), but what they do offer is delicious. The restaurant itself is bright and airy and has a real lovely vibe."

"Was very pleased to come across this Greek street food style place in Brighton. After trying real pita gyros in Crete, always wanted to find the closest authentic place. Ordered the traditional pork gyros in pita with chips. Fresh, well presented and delicious. The only minor complaint would be that the meat was a bit too salty. Do recommend if you enjoy Greek food, love to try street food or you are on the go had my gyros just while walking in Brighton. Service was warm, friendly and quick."

"Date night with the wife. I was looking for somewhere local I had never been, which did food I could eat. I'm off carbs and sugar... for my diabetes type 2. I've lived here forever but I had never had reason to come in before. So reading the menu meat it was then. Realised they had cheese pie which is a real crowd pleaser for the wife. Parked up right outside, which was good. There isn't much parking at the pub so be warned. Went in around 7 on a Friday night and it was busy. The service was...slow. I'm off beer as well as sugar, so tried the Brooklyn lager...and it was really good. If less than ideal 2g sugar 100ml. Managed to drink 2 bottles before we got our order in. Specials are blah blah blah...sorry no cheese pie... Damn it there go my brownie points. So we ordered one special starter and one off the main, and two main courses. Black pudding scotch eggs, and cod balls. Fish n Chips and Mixed Grill no chips. 5 mins later no Black pud scotch eggs...can we have the brie...5 mins later...yup no brie. Hmm We both had the cod balls. Absolutely starving when they arrived. 30 minutes after we arrived. Good job they were fabulously good. Sadly I was so hungry I forgot to take a picture. Perfect crust on them, lots of fish and only a bit of potato (hmm didn't say that on the menu). A further relaxed 30 minute wait followed for our main course. My meal was fine. Not the best ever, I had opted out of the chips, and it came without much salad. Which I would normally have expected to be there. Almost looked like they had left room for it on my plate but forgot to serve it. Though to be fair that's probably where the chips would go. The fish was really great for the wife and her chips were yummy. Stole one shh don't tell the diabetes. The atmosphere was good, all the people were friendly, it was just a bit slow. All in all I will go back though perhaps pick a steak next time, and ask for some salad with it."

"Absolutely brilliant pizza! Better than any of the chain restaurants by a country mile , and far far better than la Bocca’s pizza imo. Thin with crispy edges and delicious generous toppings. Loved the jam . Would never of thought of adding it to a pizza. Staff were great and despite there being a table of 30 in the adjoining restaurant , they were still attentive and even offered to push our food through first. But we weren’t in a rush so had starters and waited. If you do have a starter make sure you save room for there pizza. Oh and it was 2for1 on a Thursday don’t know if that’s every week)."

"We had a fantastic experience at the restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious and of the highest quality. The cake and vegetables were especially enjoyable. The portion sizes were generous and offered great value for the money. The staff, particularly Molly, were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to ensure we had a pleasant dining experience. We will definitely be returning in the future."

"My wife and I decided to spontaneously visit this restaurant on Saturday evening, January 13th, 24 while we were in Harrogate for the weekend. Despite the busy atmosphere, we were warmly greeted and seated promptly. We shared the Tzatziki as a starter, my wife ordered the Greek sea bass, and I had the chicken Gyros for our main courses. Both dishes were delicious and served in generous portions. The service was top-notch, with friendly and attentive staff. Although we traveled from Derby for the weekend, we would definitely become regular patrons if we lived closer to Harrogate."

"Always fantastic food, the lamb chops are amazing, I always order these as part of my meal and then try something new every time too. I haven't had alot of experience with Greek food and I have never been to Greece but after eating here a few times, I'm now planning a trip when restrictions are lifted, but, for now Little Greek is as close as anyone is going to get!!!"

"After a long day in Chester, Olive Tree Brasserie was the perfect spot to unwind. Located right in the heart of the city, it has such a welcoming vibe. We were greeted with a smile and, even though it was a busy Friday night, we were quickly seated on the terrace for drinks while we waited for a table. The view over the city centre was stunning, and the outdoor heaters made it cosy. We didn’t wait long before being swiftly taken to our table. One of our group is gluten intolerant, and the staff were fantastic, providing a clear menu with recommendations that made everything so much easier. The Mediterranean food was outstanding. The gyros was packed with flavor, the moussaka was rich and hearty, and the lamb kleftiko was tender and delicious. The atmosphere was great, especially with the lovely olive tree as a centerpiece. We were so impressed that we returned on Sunday evening and ordered the exact same dishes! Great value, brilliant service, and we’ll definitely be back next time we're across the pond."

"Honestly super disappointed, over priced for what it is. It's very much an all or nothing place. We were also seated directly Infront of and completely blocking the fire exit. I got the stuffed vine leaves, a personal favourite, there was only 4 small parcels (about half the size of anywhere else) they were served with a single slice of tomato a single slice of cucumber and a dinner plate full of tzatziki. My son had the hummus with toasted bread, this had the same problem with a massive amount of dip, this time with 4 1 inch cubes of bread. The hummus was completely flavourless and extremely watery. I asked for a few olives to be added to my son's pasta, fully expecting to pay around £1 as an extra, however they charged us £4.95 which doubled the price of his meal. My dad order a medium rare steak with blue cheese sauce, there was barely any sauce and the steak was well-done, he sent it back and got a pretty ok steak but it was swimming in sauce."
