"Ordered takeaway online Message said collect in Arrived on Tim only to be told that the machine hadn’t printed my order. Young girl behind the counter hand wrote it and took it to the kitchen. minutes later food arrived. Chilli mushrooms that came...with some salad that looked as though it had wilted a couple of days ago. That went straight into the bin. Mushrooms soon followed. Went to the main and plain naan Chilli chicken and rice. Chicken was Luke warm at best and chewy. The sauce was very watery and had a sweet after taste, not a pleasant one either. Needless to say that followed the starter into the bin. The naan bread was supposed to be just a bog standard plain one. It was oranges on top and burnt underneath and like trying to rip thick cardboard and impossible to chew. I did try but it tasted like cooking fat that has been used beyond endurance and also had the same weird flavour that the sauce for the main had. Maybe I just caught them on a bad day. You have to decide for yourself if you get food from there."

"I decided to try the number one voted fish and chips in the area while visiting the UK. I highly recommend the fish and chips, the portion size of the fish they give you is impressive. I was with a vegan eater and the restaurant was able to accommodate them with a veggie burger and chips. While speaking with the staff, they suggested I try the seafood soup, which was delicious. The fish artwork on the walls was interesting to look at while waiting for our food. The restroom was clean and well-maintained, the only downside was that it was located upstairs, but this shouldn't be an issue for most people."

"Worst fish and chips for years. Ordered 3 cod plus 1 haddock and 2 large chips. 1 cod badly overcooked with batter burned and fish nearly solid. Other 2 cod slightly overcooked. Haddock perfect. Chips were badly overdone and tasted like oil not changed regularly. 34 Pounds total cost. Very poor and won't be returning. Used to be excellent now disgusting."

"The service at this restaurant was indifferent and apathetic. Despite being told there was no fish left, I was made to wait for 20 minutes while other customers were served. The server was engaged in a loud discussion about the chips with a regular customer, ignoring me in the process. Eventually, I was informed that there were no fish or battered sausages left, and I had to settle for a cold ‘Jumbo Sausage’ that had been sitting there for 20 minutes. The portion of chips was meagre and the overall experience was uncomfortable due to the server's reluctance."

"last night (Friday night) after a long week at work I decided to treat myself to a fish and chips of olley’s, as I knew they had a good call in south london. another reason is that I ordered at a place...was delicious. last night was a real disappointment. the court came fast, but it was hot going cold. in his apology box was a cod, chips and a lonely lemon wedge. no mayo, tartaric acid and it was tasteless. all this for !!!! for this price you can order a beautiful main course in a posh restaurant or even courses with ambiente and service. I am not sure if this is to be done with the cook in this night, but there was no concern to make this dish."

"My hubby and I stopped in without booking but staff accommodated us. Spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated. Smartly presented, friendly and courteous staff. Food was outstanding! We had intended only having a main course however ended up with three courses. Delicious individual flavours identified in each dish, beautifully presented, perfect portions that were tasty and piping hot. The chefs here have absolutely nailed it. Best steak I've tasted in some time and I know my steak. Exceptional cooking and service. We will return. Would definitely suggest booking in advance as we just timed it right for a table. "We booked Sunday lunch on the way to Yorkshire. Unfortunately we were shown to a room that was freezing cold and remained that way. Other's arrived and kept coats on and were as cold as we were as no heating was on. The meal was tasty but basic and soon went cold which rendered it unappetising before long. Some plates were delivered steaming hot but ours was not! Shame about this on a sunny warm day but the lack of heating made us feel unwelcome."
