"Went in today with family for lunch after having been in a few times before on trips to Newark. The menu has changed and there are fewer choices plus a big increase in price but this is similar in many places so didn't deter us at that point. When ordering on the app we found there was no lasagne or fish &chips so those people found an alternative. Again, we found a way around this but the real disappointment was the portion sizes of some of the meals. I ordered the soup. I was aware this is listed as a starter after being advertised as coming with bread and butter I thought this would do as a light lunch. Soup arrived with two tiny extremely hard pieces of bread, no butter and about an inch of soup in the bottom of the bowl. Couldn't believe how little soup there was. Even had to ask for a spoon for it. My daughter's chicken tikka was tiny too, just padded out with lots of chips and a really dry pitta. Really disappointed and don't want to risk coming back. Pic really doesn't do justice to how little soup there was!"

"The Burlington is a spacious, traditional pub located near the Crooked Spire Church in Chesterfield, Derbyshire. Although it isn't a Wetherspoon pub, the menu, beer selection, food prices, and overall ambiance definitely give off a Wetherspoon-like vibe. You can expect decent food that may not be extraordinary but offers great value. I went for the mixed grill, which is something I often choose at Wetherspoon, and it was quite good and satisfying. The pub is large and tends to get busy, so it can feel a bit hectic at times, but that's not a major drawback."

"I have been coming here for years, mostly during uni and now just returning for a couple of drinks. I believe there is some new staff that have started, on the whole they are nice, how we there is one woman who is extremely rude and condescending. She became abrupt and started calling me ‘darling’ in a patronising manner. I have since returned and witnessed her to laugh at me to her with her colleagues and be once again very rude. Very good pub apart from this unprofessional and immature staff member. She has dark curly hair, looks quite young and silly."

"We were visiting a tourist attraction in the area and noted that the Bulls Head did food so we popped in. We ordered two cheese and bacon toasties which came with dirty fries with an additional order for a side salad. We waited 45 minutes and then approached the bar to enquire where our (very basic food was. I was advised that our order was being prepared next and the male staff member said we did warn you on ordering that food was taking 45 minutes . I replied that this had not been conveyed to us (as we would certainly not have continued with the order but found an alternative location for our snack . Satisfied that our food would be arriving immanently I returned to my table. I waited a further 25 minutes and returned to the bar to again, asking where our food was. I was advised that it was literally on it 's way out of the kitchen. So again, I returned to our table and true to his word, the food arrived, but it was NOT what was specified on the menu which had stated dirty fries (topped with bacon and chopped spring . Our fries merely had some sauce drizzled over. This was absolutely the last straw. I returned to the counter with the food and asked to speak with the Manager as I wished to have a refund as the food was not as specified. I duly got out my credit card (original method of payment but was immediately provided with a cash refund. I believe that the staff just wanted to get us out of the premises quickly as it was very obvious that we were far from happy. Luckily we are not local and therefore not likely to be in the area again but needless to say, if we were, we would certainly NOT be making a repeat visit."

"Very rude staff I visited here with a group of friends for Sunday lunch. We were four couples, and placed our food and drink orders via the app. The drinks arrived promptly. The problems started when the food was delivered. The male member of staff appeared carrying a tray of food and shouted across to us, asking if we had ordered food. I replied that we had. He then accused me of not having ordered food, and demanded to see my receipt. He stated that I apparently smirked at him and this indicated that I was lying about having placed an order! I then showed him my order confirmation on the app. It appears the meals he was carrying were not my order, but clearly would have been for one of my friends who had also placed an order on the app. We explain this to the member of staff. There then followed a ridiculous situation where he refused to tell us what meals he was carrying, even when we explained that if we knew which meals they were, we could work out who on our table the meals were intended for. We also pointed out that surely he would be able to see on the system that there had been four orders made for our table. The member of staff’s attitude was rude, bordering on aggressive. I’ve never experienced such poor service. Having ordered and paid for a meal, I do not appreciate being accused of lying. A female member of staff then appeared, looking very stressed. She was able to sort out getting the rest of our order to our table. The food was ok, although our starter were brought out at the same time as our mains. However, the appalling attitude of the member of staff completely ruined the atmosphere and experience. We just wanted to finish our meals as quickly as possible and leave. The shockingly poor attitude of your staff have now cost you 8 customers who will not be returning"

"Ordered from here on the phone was extremely rushed and didn’t get the order correct. Put the phone down on me twice cause he said he was busy. Then it came within ten mins off ordering. The garlic bread was warm but full of grease dripping off it both kebabs was hard narn bread could not chew or it was like cardboard. The meat was freezing and unsure why as we live around the corner and the garlic bread was hot? Worst kebab I’ve ever eaten. Food was here 1 min so we called up and explained the person we spoke to the owner could not have being more rude. Just kept repeating himself saying “sorry you feel this way” multiple times. We asked for a refund and he said he dosent believe us we said we will bring it to shop him and he said he dosent have time to speak to us. We paid £19 for this food and even tipped the driver and we haven’t eaten any off it. Will not be going to this place again and will keep posting. Worst rude mannered people and never in my life have I made a bad review."

"Just arrived in liverpool went to Yates small waiter asked us to wait until he cleared table we did so only to be shouted at by a woman behind the bar table was taken tried to explain we were told to wait until in was cleared no shouting taken then a man whom I assume was a manager in an aggressive tone told me what was the fuss tried to explain but continued to take over me I might add I am nearly 70 in the end walked out the old saying comes to mind give someone a bit of authority and well YATES PLEASE LOOK INTO THIS ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTED"

"31st august 2021: to go worcester city center was a joy, but when we approached the lunch hour, both my friend and I wanted a nice English breakfast with good coffee. he remembered that poppins really do well all day breakfast and finally we found it....and my friend is supposed to be from worcester. haha he could have found it faster than my favourite has shaken for some good ol correct English fry up or a large traditional English breakfast! what a delicious breakfast and poppins is a real gem. real traditional caffe as it should be and no wonder that it was really busy and full. kaan managed to find us a table near the kitchen and it was perfect. the berths of real English breakfast have paid attention to us and we could not wait to get our breakfast! and wow, it was delicious or what, yes? thanks kaan for their friendly welcome and service and the amazing English breakfast as it should be. very recommend this caffe and that is how to be a real traditional caffe! we will definitely be back when in and around worcester city center again!"

"we ordered from here for the first time at lunch. eating looked absolutely amazing on facebook and I had heard so many good things. our delivery came half an hour later than suggested, but we were not too worried about it, I understand how busy taking away are right now. the order was wrong or missing. I called and the type was like we were so busy tonight, I gave them a discount next time, but children needed dinner there, we needed the pizzas. Of course that wasn't what they wanted to hear, but they were told they would deliver the missing 2 pizzas, but they were at least 50 minutes. the pizzas arrived about an hour later. when we opened the box, the pizza had hardly a torf, I don't know what she had done with her, since it was all squeezed on a side not resemble any of her pictures of pizza on fb and the floor was not properly cooked, it was in edible. also I was seriously sick of the munchy box, the whole night with heavy stomach pain etc. I will not be back in the final."

"AVOID THIS PLACE We went here last night after a couple of drinks as there wasn’t much choice left to grab food. We sat and ate some of the worst food I’ve tasted in Edinburgh, cheap sauces and hugely processed rubbish. We got our cash ready to pay and we’re told that display prices above the counter were wrong and they charged us roughly double those prices. After half eating the food we couldn’t bare we sat for a couple of minutes. From behind the counter he started screaming at us so randomly to get out if we weren’t eating baring in mind we’d just finished our nasty overpriced food. He then started shouting at another quiet man who was sitting on a bench located in front of the glass cabinet because he was to close. Don’t put a seat there if people aren’t allowed to use it!? Feeling very disappointed and violated, we went on our way. Will be reporting to trading standards too as this really affected us last night. God knows how they treat all other customers."

"We ordered a mixed kebab with garlic sauce and a shish kebab with chilli sauce, along with a side of chips. Garlic sauce contain more herb than garlic and as my pregnant wife is violently sick with most herbs apart from Parsley this was not a great experience, the shish kebab needed a bite compression akin to that of a great white shark in order to actually become remotely edible, I tried to chew a piece but I kept having flash backs of my grandparents telling me I could not leave the table until I had finished my piece of meat and I had to wave the white flag of surrender on this one, as I would still be chewing it whilst in my grave...... tough, raw and without a doubt inedible. I shall not mention the abuse from the man whom seemingly cooked the food( laughing out loud at this cooking malarkey) I know it is a common error but I am certainly not his friend as he suggested. On a plus side the chips were ok, crisp and hot. We complained to just eat( ironically named with the meal we couldn’t eat) and it will take up to 72 hours( farcical) when it takes 30 seconds for them to take your money. Rant over.... in short please give this abusive, unfriendly and kebab shop a wide berth as it is such a great display of just how not to give great customer service. It would seem that the customer is most definitely always wrong as the man whom cooked our food was just simply to busy and the owner apparently wa out delivering the “food”. As I am in Turkey next week I shall enjoy a seriously good kebab and make a point of calling the chef my friend."

"We visited as a group of 12, booked in April and pre orders given to restaurant several days before visit. Service was extremely slow with no apology given. Hot starters served on hot plates on bed of rocket which meant the rocket was completely wilted and inedible. Half of main courses delivered approx 20 minutes before remainder came out. One portion of seabass was so hard it couldn't be cut and was sent back no replacement as they had run out of seabass. Mushroom Risotto was dry, bland and all stuck together plus mushrooms were bordering on slimy. Chicken curry was bland and pre cooked shredded chicken only edible part of dish was poppadom. One burger was dropped as it left kitchen and replacement, although offered to be only a few minutes away, took nearly 30 minutes and bun was rock hard. Roast potatoes on one dish had absolutely no colour to them and looked more like boiled. Two of us didn't even bother to stay for desserts and refused to pay for main courses. We never really received any apology for the bad service and meals. We were told they had staffing issues, but customers arriving after us ate and left before our main courses even arrived. Sorry, but I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone."
