"We regularly go to the Halfway St. branch for their burgers. My wife is a vegan and judges that their vegan burgers are the best she's had. Including upmarket central London restaurants where she has paid double. On a recent visit we paid cash and it seems that two of the new plastic £10 notes had stuck together in my wallet and I unwittingly handed over £10 too much. Our server came back to our table and returned the £10 to me. Really good and varied food, great friendly service and integrity as well. A winning combination."

"I visited this restaurant on a Sunday morning for an early breakfast. The atmosphere was simple and clean. Unfortunately, none of the staff greeted me when I arrived. I sat down, looked at the menu, and made my choices without any acknowledgment. When I placed my order, a grumpy employee came out from behind the counter, took my menu without a word, and placed it on the seat across from me. I prefer to read menus thoroughly, so I picked it back up. Despite the lack of communication, the food was delicious and the coffee was great. If you don't mind being ignored and are just looking for good food, this place is for you. It's a shame that the service was lacking. Remember, a smile is free."

"This is NOT a review about quality of food. Have eaten here a few times and the standard is usually high. I don’t know if they have new owners but the menu choices now are VERY INFLEXIBLE. One of our party of three only wanted a small breakfast. IE One piece of bacon, one egg etc. All your items on the main menu are TWO of everything. Your offer of a 4 or 5 item breakfasts are nonsense as it’s two of everything. You lost sales today due to your inflexibility. Tried to add 1 slice of bacon to some egg on toast but told its £2.15. Because you only sell bacon in 2’s !! In my opinion you are excluding some diners with your menu policy. Be interesting to see if you listen and learn. Are the owners not aware in this day and age ALL trade is vital. The customer is king but You refused to sell us a small breakfast ??"

"My partner and I visited this restaurant for the first time and were greeted by a friendly staff member. Our order was taken by another waitress and the atmosphere was very enjoyable. "Ordered a delivery yesterday through UberEats. 2 put of 3 items were incorrect. I called the shop to advise of this. No offer of a replacement but was told if I contacted UberEats I would be refunded. Done this and have been refused a refund. Really disappointed as I normally love this place and often go there for lunch when at work. £10 of food in bin and had to fork out more money to order from somewhere else."

"We were invited to Ledbury for a family party and decided to book here for 2 nights and paid £240. Because of the very uncomfortable beds, a constantly dripping tap and a church bell which chimed ever hour we didn't sleep so chose to cancel the second night. This had a massive impact on our weekend and had to spend the afternoon of the following day in another hotel catching up on sleep so barely saw our family. Duty staff were understanding but failed to act positively and the elusive management have also failed to respond to our complaint. I'm a fair person and have been very reluctant to write this review as businesses are struggling but feel the hotel has had ample time to offer a refund or contribution towards the cancelled 2nd night. After all they were very enthusiastic about ensuring we paid in full on arrival. Very disappointing. The photos are also not representative of the rooms!"

"We visited during the October school holidays with our 6.5 year old and 4 year old. Lunch boxes for kids are great and freshly made as our daughter has olive spread alternative to butter so we asked for her cheese wrap not to have any...butter on it which the kitchen were able to do. Our soup and paninis were delicious and hot. Really filling and again, homemade and fresh. My haggis and cheese panini sank me...we'll sort of! Can't come here without eating their ice cream which is always on point. I went for their coconut sorbet. Kids had sprinkles and marshmallows on their ice cream cones which were very generous portions whilst my wife enjoyed her chocolate milkshake. What makes it a great family destination is their outdoor play park and bouncing pillow. Kids had fun burning off their lunch and ice cream. There is also a small indoor play area which we used to use when the kids were younger. Service was good and excellent value for money. Enjoy!"

We ordered sausage, egg, and cheese batons, which were delicious with perfectly cooked eggs and tasty sausage. "Went for afternoon tea. £25 for two people. Poor start to the experience, we asked the girl serving us some basic questions about the menu and she couldn 't answer a single one, so she checked with another member of staff, this happened 4 times and eventually she gave up and sent over the other member of staff and we finally ordered. The afternoon tea consisted of 1 sandwich each (cut into 3 fingers) so only 1 flavour each (I had egg, my husband had salmon and cream cheese) hardly a selection of sandwiches as per the menu. 1 small cherry scone each with jam and cream (whipped not clotted) and 3 very small petit fours each. For £25 I would have expected a lot more food, perhaps a slice of cake (they had tonnes of homemade cakes on the counter which looked nice). Food was very basic, the egg mayo was just that, no cress etc. Salmon and cream cheese had very little filling. Cherry scone was bland and stodgy in the middle. Petit fours were small and nothing exciting. Overall for what we had I would have only paid around £10 £15 max. The man who eventually served us was a very pleasant guy, and he seemed a little embarrassed by our response to the lack of food, he did offer to get the chef to make us some additional sandwiches if needed. The place was very quite and I felt like the other guests were starring at us so I didn 't want to make a scene so rather than take him up on the offer we paid up and left. This was meant to be a special treat to celebrate our 1st wedding anniversary, but instead we were left disappointed and hungry."
