"We visited during the October school holidays with our 6.5 year old and 4 year old. Lunch boxes for kids are great and freshly made as our daughter has olive spread alternative to butter so we asked for her cheese wrap not to have any...butter on it which the kitchen were able to do. Our soup and paninis were delicious and hot. Really filling and again, homemade and fresh. My haggis and cheese panini sank me...we'll sort of! Can't come here without eating their ice cream which is always on point. I went for their coconut sorbet. Kids had sprinkles and marshmallows on their ice cream cones which were very generous portions whilst my wife enjoyed her chocolate milkshake. What makes it a great family destination is their outdoor play park and bouncing pillow. Kids had fun burning off their lunch and ice cream. There is also a small indoor play area which we used to use when the kids were younger. Service was good and excellent value for money. Enjoy!"

Good portions however, quite expensive and bacon roll sent back twice to get the bacon done well/burning and it still came out very pale, couldn't eat it.

Dropped in yesterday for an icecream. Bit overpriced £7+ for 2 comes. Icecream never really tasted like the flavours we chose, however the staff are lovely and it's a lovely location.

Fantastic place to visit. We were a group of 28 people. They did their best to provide us with a brilliant service. Ice cream was very tasty. Excellent customer service. Very highly recommended. View menu

Took my 3 kids (ages 4,3 &3) here after school on Monday. The kids opted for takeaway when they seen the jumping pillow, cow and play park. The kid's got hotdogs (eaten in the car on the way home and ice cream which they loved....Beautiful views and I could easily supervise the children as felt quite secluded with fences around preventing them wandering off.

Forced to wait outside in the rain also by the Covid restrictions all lifted. £7 for a takeaway toastie and £4 for a cuppa soup. slide off Toastie was made with cheap products and the soup came with a pathetic dry... Ice cream was totally average. Server was extremely unpleasant and not polite. The amount of plastic and polystyrene used on our tiny order is excessive. I will not be back and I will not recommend this place.

Popped into the milk barn for take out lunch Iam sorry to say they should have a sign up saying only ice cream after 12 pm. Ordered what I can only describe as the worst toasted I wish cheese ham sandwich I...have tasted. Cheap ham bread not toasted probably/ cheap orange cheese. Frozen cooked chips were ok and the ice cream was alright. Shame really as nice facilities for children climbing frames and swings also picnic tables. View menu

We went out for a walk on a cold day and headed up to the Milk Barn for a hot drink. My first time, however the other two family members that i was with have been many times, half way there our son decided that...he was having an ice cream and at that point i replied it's freezing, i could be doing with a bowl of soup When we arrived, i was pleasantly surprised to see lentil soup on the menu. I have to say, it was probably the best soup that i have tasted anywhere! Even our son had some and he's fussy! Looking forward to our next visit.

"Horrendous attitude from one of the owners/family helpers called Lee. I would like to highlight that Sonia provided a professional customer service experience in comparison to Lee. Placed the order at arrived at When I called at to find out...what was happening, Sonia offered to phone the driver to find out the situation for me, which was good. Whilst waiting on Sonia phoning me back, I received a call from Lee asking me to tell her what the problem was, I explained her colleague was dealing with it she then went on to explain how busy they are, which is understandable and I understand the challenges businesses have at the moment, owning my own. But there was no apology. In fact Lee (who at this point I did not know was the owner/family helper until Sonia told me) went on to tell me it was my fault I ordered from Just eat as they had their own orders to fill first?? Eh hello? It doesn't matter how I place my order, I chose your business to order my dinner from!. Anyway I explained to her that I didn't like her tone of voice and felt she was being really aggressive with me. She asked me if I wanted to cancel my order,I said we have been waiting two hours, so we may as well wait, however she was very forceful and kept saying no I will cancel, I will cancel and then decided to put the phone down on me. I couldn't believe how I had been treated as a customer! Then Sonia kindly phoned back to apologise and I asked whoever that was, should not be in a customer role and I was shocked to be spoken to in that way. She then went on to inform me Lee is the owner/family helper! Shocking. Sonia asked for my details and explained she would let the other owner know what had happened. hours later, I've not heard a peep from the restaurant. So I've made the decision to leave a review after explaining to them, this is what I would do. After waiting over and a half hours and using them for the first time, the food was below average. The pakoras and rice was nice, however the chicken korma was inedible, it was stringy and chewy, the lamb bhuna sauce was nice, the lamb was fatty and chewy. So all that wait for pakora and rice and sauce. We won't be back! Horrendous way to speak and treat customers!"
