"really bad experience. not sure what restaurant went on to these other reviewers because the staff was really not helpful. has been referred to what seemed to be the chef of the restaurant immediately, which means that the personal 't formed on allergens, but the manager clearly 't understand what vegan meant also. He told me to get a dish and he'd tell me if they could make it vegan. I explained we could be here all day to go through the menu, but he insisted. I went, of course, directly to the sweet dishes to which he said no (to all! because they have flour in them. I tried to explain that flour has nothing to do with veganism, but he did not understand. I would leave the restaurant if we were not there for my vater birthday, as we began to make a scene when I tried to explain that they have vegan options available, but can't say which options these are. I went with a bombay aloo that is usually vegan. I feel like they have deliberately put a boiled egg in themselves, as I have never seen that it is part of the teller. So I didn't eat the meal and didn't say anything, paid and left. I do not understand that all restaurants have vegan options available, but I thought after the reviews here and the fact that they have advertised vegan options on their menu that they would be helpful, but it is probably the worst experience I had."

"I went to the restaurant and ordered a meal deal along with some additional items. Unfortunately, they were out of stock of the items I wanted. This should have been a red flag for me as the problems continued throughout the meal. The starter was overcooked and dry, the chips were overcooked, and the naan bread was burnt. Both the Peshawari and garlic naan were tasteless and had a powdery, salty texture. My dining companions and I were very disappointed and found the whole experience disgusting. I would not recommend Flame Tandoori to anyone. It was a long time since I had such a bad dining experience."

"We purchase regularly from here via JustEat and have done since the beginning of Lockdown. We haven’t been to the cafe itself so cannot comment on anything in relation to the actual setting but are yet to be disappointed! Food always arrives within the estimated...timescale and hot and cold food is separated well. Portions are always more than adequate and food quality is superb. A personal favourite in our house is the Macaroni Cheese and the Mexican chicken panini. My only comment would be that anytime we have ordered the 1 person buffet it always comes with either Cheese or Cheese and Ham this is absolutely fine and I understand it is pot luck but a little more variety would be nice or an option to perhaps pay a little extra to specify sandwich filling (just a suggestion)."

"Later than we'd like to book, never having been there before, we simply went by the reviews and booked for a 50th wedding celebration. We'll, the reviews don't do it justice. From the welcome of Ali, through the drinks, menu orders, the recommendations from Ali, all handled with graciousness, friendliness and humour. We mostly went with Ali's recommendations and they were great. Food was awesome, all of it. Even our screw up of us mixing up our choices ourselves was sorted quickly and efficiently, even though it was OUR fault. Special occasion was acknowledged with a lovely touch or two. Just a lovely evening, lovely place, great staff, from Ali and Chloe and everyone else who served us and made us feel welcome. Everything a restaurant should be, but rarely is. Deserves 10 out of 5 stars. We'll be back, and we'll be spreading the word, though maybe not too widely... don't want to lose the opportunity to eat there again! Outstanding!"

"From the starter to the sweet this was a first class dining experience. The very helpful staff brought us wine starters very quickly. The starter was a taste sensation of cold meats and cheese. Some lovely bread and salad. The main course was a pasta dish with seafood. The sauce was so good I ended the meal by using a spoon to clear the last few drops from the plate. Good sized helpings meant however that I only had room for a cup of their excellent coffee although the home made deserts were very tempting. This is a will go back soon restaurant."

"Exceptional Service at Mexican Texmex Bar Grill I recently dined at Mexican Texmex Bar Grill and had the pleasure of being assisted by Mike. Although I’m not sure of his exact role at the restaurant, whether he's a waiter, manager, or the owner, his service was nothing short of exemplary. Mike was very attentive, friendly, and made sure we had a fantastic dining experience. His recommendations from the menu were spot on and greatly enhanced our meal. The atmosphere at Mexican Texmex Bar Grill is vibrant and welcoming, much like Mike’s persona. It's clear that he takes great pride in ensuring the satisfaction of the restaurant's patrons. I highly recommend Mexican Texmex Bar Grill, and a big shoutout to Mike for making our visit a memorable one. I will definitely be returning in the near future."

"We visited during the October school holidays with our 6.5 year old and 4 year old. Lunch boxes for kids are great and freshly made as our daughter has olive spread alternative to butter so we asked for her cheese wrap not to have any...butter on it which the kitchen were able to do. Our soup and paninis were delicious and hot. Really filling and again, homemade and fresh. My haggis and cheese panini sank me...we'll sort of! Can't come here without eating their ice cream which is always on point. I went for their coconut sorbet. Kids had sprinkles and marshmallows on their ice cream cones which were very generous portions whilst my wife enjoyed her chocolate milkshake. What makes it a great family destination is their outdoor play park and bouncing pillow. Kids had fun burning off their lunch and ice cream. There is also a small indoor play area which we used to use when the kids were younger. Service was good and excellent value for money. Enjoy!"

"I ordered from Uber Eats and I had a £10 voucher to use otherwise I wouldn’t of ordered. I ordered a waffle, a crepe, and 2 tango ice blasts, and paid the remaining fiver. My little sister went into get it and she took 20 mins and because she had my phone with the order confirmation on, I was sat there unaware of what was going on. My little sister came out and they claimed they never had the order, on top me paying she paid a tenner of her own money for just half of what we ordered as the tango ice blast machine wasn’t working, but I paid for them, and the rest already! So we’ve now paid twice, I went in to say something and they said they never received our order and I’d have to phone UberEats! (who are in contactable so Eskers knew they would of had our money; twice), then suddenly someone says, 30 mins after arriving, ‘is it mathison’. Convenient? They cancelled the UberEats order but because I was using a voucher I paid a lot less, and ordered more, than what my sister came out with? Not good at all!!"

"Just had a midweek meal with my family for my birthday. Whilst I can not fault the meal in the least, it really was excellent, the service was not what I expected. It was almost as if they didn't want you to be there. We...were not made to feel welcome at all. Even when I asked what vodkas were available i was told only smirnoff. I tend not to drink smirnoff so asked what beers were available, I was then informed, well we also have grey goose (which I then ordered). Also we asked for the remainder of my kids pizzas to be put in a box to takeaway, this seemed like a chore. The box of take home pizza was left on the table before we had even ordered dessert and coffee. We had to try and fit the desert around it. Including our table of 5 there were about 16 customers in the restaurant. My bill Including tip was £200. Midweek middle of the month I wasn't expecting it to be busy hence I was maybe expecting better and more attentive service. Food was excellent but don't think I'll return any time soon."

"My husband and I had an excellent lunch at Sumo . Service was calm and very efficient. We had the very reasonable lunch menu . Both starters were brilliant. Paul had crispy tofu in a tasty sauce and I had crispy chicken wings. They were accompanied by a fresh salad . Paul had chicken ramen which came in a huge bowl and was filled with noodles , veg and sliced chicken . He was asked how he would like the base stock chilli , garlic or plain . He was also able to say how hot he would like the chilli when he chose that option . It was delicious. I had salt and spicy chicken with plain rice . Perfect . Light morsels of moist chicken , sweet onions, peppers and rice done to perfection. We had jasmine tea to accompany and this went well . We saw beautiful sushi dishes going out that were works of art . We have eaten here loads of times and never had anything less than delicious."

"This is not, in fact, a tea house, but a Chinese food restaurant! They have a sizable GF menu and offer delivery, pickup, and dine in options. Edit: I’ve ordered delivery twice now and haven’t gotten glutened. They have a cross-contamination statement on their website, which I suspect is just for legal reasons, but I was able to specify that I have coeliac and request separate packaging and allergy prep to reduce cc as much as possible and they were very accommodating. My takeout containers were even specifically marked as gf."

"I came here to celebrate my 60th birthday, and the restaurant decorated the table for our arrival. The food was delicious, with large portion sizes. There was music playing at a good volume, allowing for conversation. We asked if they could bring out a cake, and they not only did so but also sang happy birthday and took photos with us. The staff were friendly and very helpful. I will definitely be returning. The prices are great - only £20 for a three-course meal and they don't skimp on portion sizes. I am satisfied and happy. The kids' portions are a decent size as well - my children couldn't finish their meals but thoroughly enjoyed them."

"Excellent food. I'm always surprised that it is often quieter than it deserves but the centre of Falkirk isn't exactly on the beaten track for great cuisine. Most recently took a party of 11 to celebrate a silver wedding. Great time and good food. Definitely worth an evening out and while it's more expensive than a take away it isn't bad value. Parking: In the evening parking is usually available just down from the restaurant on the street. Otherwise Williamson street carpark is nearby and free after 17:30"

"After wanting to try this cafe for a while I wasn't disappointed in the food I ate, my company weren't as keen but they were fussy kids. We ordered a bbq chicken wrap but it was to spicy for the young girl. My club sandwich was yummy though. Only thing I would say is the price of diluting juice was a bit high as for 5 glasses i was charged £7.50. The kids meal was supposed to come with a mini cake but wasn't offered or given it. Other than that everything was great, I would recommend to others and I'd visit again but make sure things were more suited for the kids."

"Visited here for my birthday. My partner had phoned ahead and booked a table for which I’m assuming the manager said wasn’t a problem. We then arrived and he’d made a table for and a table for with a space and plastic...divider up which was very disappointing because that’s not a table for it’s a table for and a table for so not ideal for a family lunch. I understand all of the covid guidelines, however, there was no reason that he couldn’t have pushed our tables together because that wouldn’t have put anyone at more risk, and actually would have resulted in our table being more socially distant from a table of that came in. The manager was pretty arrogant and it would’ve been common courtesy to let us know on the phone when booking what the situation would be. This soured the experience somewhat for us. I got the black pudding pakora which was nice, although it used to be served in a poppadom but they have done away with this. The pakora and spiced onions are great. I then got the hunters chicken which was very nice, albeit some little bits of gristle or tendon that should’ve been discarded of prior to cooking. It was a very good meal which everyone seemed to enjoy but the initial customer service wasn’t the best. Branded table condiments would be a lot better than the cheap tomato sauce too."

"Gulnar Tandoori is a place we stumbled upon by chance while visiting a friend in Labert. For starters, we had the vegetable samosa and the mixed platter which nicely set us up for an amazing culinary experience. For the main we had the South Indian Garlic Chilli Lamb, Chicken Pardesi and Chicken Biryani. We collectively agreed it was the best Indian meal that we have had in a very long time. I definitely recommend a visit."

"Four of us arrived yesterday evening (Sat) at about 20.10 after spending a few hours husband and son driving furniture from Aberdeen to Polmont to our Son and his Fiancée 's new home in Polmont and us helping them settle in as best we could before we headed out to have some food and Drink in the local Black Bull Restaurant. We hadn 't booked a table or phoned in advance so didn 't know if we were too late for food or not , however we were advised we were still in time to have food. We had 3 different meals , 1 large Beef Burger with all the trimmings1 large portion of Chicken Fajitas 1 large Chicken Breast Stuffed with Haggis homemade Fries and Broccoli and baby corn with gorgeous Peppercorn Sauce1 Large Chicken Breast Stuffed with Haggis and Homemade Mash , Broccoli and Baby corn again with Peppercorn SauceWith extra portion of Battered onion RingsOh my Goodness the Food was amazing it was so good I forgot to take photos of the meals before tucking in. Also the staff could not have been more friendly or attentive to our needs . The food and drinks we had were extremely reasonably priced. There was also Karaoke going on in the bar and in no way did this interfere with the ambiance where we were seated near to the bar . The restaurant was clean and well decorated . We will definitely return when we visit our Son and his Fiancée again .I know our son has a great friendly place to go now for a drink and a meal close to his doorstep. Thanks for a Pleasant evening The Black Bull inn at Polmont and too Jourdan Valentine and the wonderful Ladies who served us sorry I didn 't get their names too .If you do find yourself in Polmont give the Black Bull Inn a visit I 'm sure you won 't be disappointed."
