"Just had a midweek meal with my family for my birthday. Whilst I can not fault the meal in the least, it really was excellent, the service was not what I expected. It was almost as if they didn't want you to be there. We...were not made to feel welcome at all. Even when I asked what vodkas were available i was told only smirnoff. I tend not to drink smirnoff so asked what beers were available, I was then informed, well we also have grey goose (which I then ordered). Also we asked for the remainder of my kids pizzas to be put in a box to takeaway, this seemed like a chore. The box of take home pizza was left on the table before we had even ordered dessert and coffee. We had to try and fit the desert around it. Including our table of 5 there were about 16 customers in the restaurant. My bill Including tip was £200. Midweek middle of the month I wasn't expecting it to be busy hence I was maybe expecting better and more attentive service. Food was excellent but don't think I'll return any time soon."

we have died here on an overnight in falkirk. eating is amazing. it's up there with the best. the price was very reasonable and the service was excellent. Whenever we visit the highlands, we plan an overnight stay in falkirk to break the...compassion and always book a table here.

Parked at the Kelpies walked along the towpath for 1.5 miles. Restaurant is on the towpath using one set of lights. Authentic Italian, music food and waiting staff. Food was delicious and staff attentive. Prices were reasonable. Would go again without hesitation. Outside seating area...but seasonal.

After the Sat-Navi brought us to the end of an industrial area, we thought we would never find this facility. but on the way back towards main street my wife discovered the side of the building I am very glad that she did it....Wunderbarable food. friendly waiters. beautiful atmosphere decor inside. it would really recommend this restaurant would like to come back if the next on holiday in Scotland.

16 of us went for my birthday dinner, children and adults. Cannot fault the food but the service and the staff (bar one lovely waiter) were just appalling and really let the place down. One meal from our whole table was missing so one person...was sitting with no food whilst the rest of us ate. Mistakes happen but the way it was dealt with was awful. A shrug of the shoulders was the apology we received. The “old man with the glasses” spoke to my nephew in an unacceptable manner and irritated a few members of the party with his childish and annoying behaviour. Such a lovely restaurant with lovely food and I’m sure SOME nice members of staff but we won’t be back. View menu

Got recommended this place by a taxi driver so made a quick and easy booking for dinner through their social media page. Fantastic service with all food and drink being brought to the table in very quick time after ordering. Couldn't fault any of the...food everything seems to have been made simply but with high quality ingredients so everything was delicious. The restaurant itself has a very warm feel to it making it a very comfortable dining experience. Best thing was when they brought the bill at the end we had 3 courses each (2 of us), with drinks for about £60 so thought they had missed something off the bill, but no, this was correct. Very good value for such a high quality meal.

1. mal gast restaurant as walk from falkirk wheel to kelpies while in the opposite restaurant. saw outside and terrace area next channel had 1 table with 2 chairs outside and others stacked. I wanted to ask if we could have a snack, and coffee is out and was rude and abruptly said we wouldn't make a coffee outside. surprisingly, when I wonder if we were eating inside and then sitting outside with coffee and snacks, would they allow that? bad first impression of restaurant from customer service perspective. waiter's attitude rather rude and blunt. possible visits for lunch and dinners lost due to this first experience. future customer experience. I hope this is an isolated incident, as most r...

"Horrendous attitude from one of the owners/family helpers called Lee. I would like to highlight that Sonia provided a professional customer service experience in comparison to Lee. Placed the order at arrived at When I called at to find out...what was happening, Sonia offered to phone the driver to find out the situation for me, which was good. Whilst waiting on Sonia phoning me back, I received a call from Lee asking me to tell her what the problem was, I explained her colleague was dealing with it she then went on to explain how busy they are, which is understandable and I understand the challenges businesses have at the moment, owning my own. But there was no apology. In fact Lee (who at this point I did not know was the owner/family helper until Sonia told me) went on to tell me it was my fault I ordered from Just eat as they had their own orders to fill first?? Eh hello? It doesn't matter how I place my order, I chose your business to order my dinner from!. Anyway I explained to her that I didn't like her tone of voice and felt she was being really aggressive with me. She asked me if I wanted to cancel my order,I said we have been waiting two hours, so we may as well wait, however she was very forceful and kept saying no I will cancel, I will cancel and then decided to put the phone down on me. I couldn't believe how I had been treated as a customer! Then Sonia kindly phoned back to apologise and I asked whoever that was, should not be in a customer role and I was shocked to be spoken to in that way. She then went on to inform me Lee is the owner/family helper! Shocking. Sonia asked for my details and explained she would let the other owner know what had happened. hours later, I've not heard a peep from the restaurant. So I've made the decision to leave a review after explaining to them, this is what I would do. After waiting over and a half hours and using them for the first time, the food was below average. The pakoras and rice was nice, however the chicken korma was inedible, it was stringy and chewy, the lamb bhuna sauce was nice, the lamb was fatty and chewy. So all that wait for pakora and rice and sauce. We won't be back! Horrendous way to speak and treat customers!"
