"I had an exhausting dinner that lasted three hours. It took over an hour for our food to arrive, and when it did, it wasn't what we ordered. I had to go to the kitchen myself to speak with the chefs in order to get our order corrected. Additionally, I had to return to the parking meter to add more money, as I had suspected that two hours wouldn’t be enough for dinner."

"Waited to be seated while 2 waitresses chatted while a queue was forming behind us Sat down at a table where there had obviously been a child as there were fries on the floor that were not cleaned up The waitress took our order and came back 5 minutes later as she couldn’t remember 2 of our drinks Waited 10 minutes for the drinks and 20 minutes for food The pasta had very little flavour but the garlic bread was nice,no bruschetta so maybe tell people that when you sit them down as 3 of our party then had no starters The drinks are the Maoist expensive on the coliseum and they are the only cashless restaurant there and encourage you to use the QR code in the table to pay to save them time,they don’t worry about getting a tip as again the only restaurant on the coliseum to add a service charge Definitely not worth the charge as service cleanliness and food nothing special"

"So from the outside it looks like nothing special, we walked inside and got told we can sit anywhere thats amazing in its self then I had the oreo milkshake tasted amazing just like oreos, then my starter I had jalapeños and cheese bon bons, they had a crisp shatter to the batter the cheese oooses out in to your mouth and then you feel the warm sensation of the jalapeños in your mouth amazing, my main was empire burger that consisted of 3 quarter pounders 3 cheeses coldslaw pulled pork and a fried egg, my side was stealth chips that I think had camermelised onions and garlic sauce bacon, cheese and herbs 5 out of 5 stars 100% recommend this place."

"We made a reservation for 7:45pm, but called ahead to let them know we would be arriving at 8pm. They assured us it would not be an issue. However, when we arrived promptly at 8pm, our table had been given away. We did not have time to wait for another table, as we had already warned them we would be arriving late. "Service was amazing, food was lovely. The serving staff really were so good and nice. An also quick very helpful. The only thing I was a bit upset about, was the fact that when u tip them via card payment they get 10 percent taken away and goes to the company. But if you tip them in cash they keep all of that. So next time I will definitely make sure I tip in cash. These servers are young just trying to make their way and i feel they should get all tips no matter what. "Me and my friends went today (11.08.18 around 6pm)to have a nice dinner. The food was absolutely delicious and ladies serving us on the day were really nice and helpful, especially one lady that we think was from Spain. Unfortunately the woman dealing with front of the restaurant was extremely unhelpful and rude. We waited for about 15min in front to be seated, them we thought that maybe we can just sit down, but we did ask a waitress if we can and she told us that we need to wait for the lady dealing with seats. I went there and said we we can get a seat for 3 people?, she asked do we have a reservation? I said that no and do we need one. She answered that it 's Saturday and we need a reservation. I got bit annoyed, looked around and said that they many empty seats, also asked her should we leave. She didn 't have the decency to look me in the eyes and answered since we already sat down, we can stay . This is highly rude and unprofessional customer service. I do know that this can be a hard and stressful job, but we all have a job and we need to deal with many difficult situations. I do know that the front lady is Polish, I am as well so I do understand the this she was saying. Whoever is a manager or owner should train the stuff how to treat the customers."

"visited this beautiful restaurant after buying a groupon deal. the employees were pleasant and attentive and advise us on some of the menu items. we have decided to have starter and net. the nachos with huh and chorizo was perfect and southern peaceful chicken strip with BBQ sauce was just as delicious. a classic barkburger with fries and red cabbage coleslaw was next door and tasted great and the chicken chanting fajitas salat was also beautiful. Unfortunately, the desert was not an option, as we were too full and had no place in which she was fit, the menu sounded appetit and we will have to visit again to try it out."

"We arrived at 2:30 PM and placed our order within ten minutes. The restaurant wasn't particularly busy at the time. By 3 PM, I inquired about the long wait for our food, but the waitress couldn't explain the delay. I had already prepaid to ensure we wouldn't be late for a movie starting at 3:20. By that time, my two children and I were becoming frustrated. Once again, the waitress was unsure why our food was taking so long. At 3:25, I requested a refund, opting to grab a snack at the cinema instead. The manager approached us and promised that our food was on its way. Just a minute later, it finally arrived. Unfortunately, the tacos were soggy, and the chicken in my salad was dry. We ended up feeling rushed to eat. I would advise avoiding this restaurant unless you're okay with waiting nearly an hour for subpar food."

"after placing out order we asked where our food was. The manager came and said he would look into this and get back to us. We never heard anything. The food finally arrived about min – after placing out order. After we...finished, we waiting for about another min. before the plates were finally cleared away. When we got the bill, we were not even offered any discount (luckily we had a Taste Card which saved the price of meal). Even though we had a wait, our food when it arrived was OK, but not piping hot. Would certainly think twice about going back now."

"Visited here just before Christmas with a friend. There were a couple of large parties in so as you would expect the service was extremely slow. eventually we ordered (the same thing chicken fajitas) and it arrived. None of it was sizzling but it tasted ok. Eventually we ordered a dessert and a coffee and then waited ages before getting the bill resulting in us being one the last to leave. The food was mediocre and the service poor. Early the next morning and for the next 3 days my friend and I suffered terribly with what appeared to be food poisoning. We had eaten the same and had both experienced the same outcome several hours later. Needless to say it spoilt the rest of our Christmas. My friend called Chiquitos to let them know what had happened and to see if anyone else had complained. Apparently someone was going to call back. They never did. Not sure we will be visiting this restaurant again in a hurry unless I want rapid weight loss"

"I recently celebrated my grandmother's birthday here with my family. The service was a bit slow, but we did visit on a Saturday. The food was fresh and served hot! I really enjoyed my appetizers, the jalapeño poppers, although the sauce was a little too sweet for my taste—I have diabetes, so I have to be mindful of my sugar levels. I ordered the Texan stack burger meal, which was good, but I expected the burger to be a bit larger. I also loved the skin-on chips. Overall, my family and I had a great time!"

"Upon arrival, we found ourselves waiting at the desk without acknowledgment of our open table booking, making the reservation pointless. The staff seemed disinterested in our confirmation and instead directed us to sit and wait in the bar before rushing outside. This strange first impression continued as the restaurant appeared half full yet we were left waiting at the bar. The barman neglected to take our drink orders, which would have improved our experience. After 10 minutes, one staff member informed us that a table was being cleared for us at the front, only for another staff member to seat us at a different table in the back. This made us feel like an inconvenience rather than valued customers. Despite representing over £100 in revenue as a group of four, we felt like a low priority. However, once seated, the typical service experience at a Chiquito chain restaurant was good, with drinks, orders, and food served promptly. We had no complaints about the food and were pleased to be able to use a student discount, saving 25%. In the future, I believe more attention should be paid to first impressions, as my companion was initially tempted to leave but I convinced them to stay."

However, the hostess at Chiquitos was absolutely delightful and quickly arranged a table for us without any hassle. She made us feel very welcome, and the rest of the staff were also friendly and attentive. The food was excellent, and we experienced no delays, making it easy to enjoy our meal before the movie. I would definitely recommend it for a pre- or post-cinema outing. It had a lively atmosphere that seemed perfect for dining with friends. We'll definitely be back!"
