"Lovley waitress serving us.... felt sorry to complain! Asides from hour wait between courses others kids in restaurant). Both mains came out, pasta and risotto. Both over cooked- pasta tasted ok but the waitress could see that fungi chicken Risotto was just like mush and very kindly offered to replace it.... accepted, and it came back tasting ok but littered with chicken sinew/fat (as per picture above).... If not sinical I wonder how a chef working in such a nice place could make such a mistake? Mmmm "

"During our recent outing, we were unable to dine at Chiquito's due to the numerous car seats scattered throughout the parking lot. It seemed as if they were meant for a garage but had been dumped in the parking area as a joke. To make matters worse, Derby was in the playoffs, and many fans were using the lot for parking. When my friend approached the restaurant staff to inquire about parking options, a waitress simply advised us to park in front of another car, stating there was nothing they could do about the situation. Ultimately, we ended up dining at Wagamama instead and had a much more enjoyable experience there."

"However, we did experience some issues with service timing. Our second pitcher of margaritas took over 20 minutes to arrive, leaving us with little time to enjoy them before heading to the movie. This was particularly disappointing, as the restaurant wasn't crowded at the time. As the others rushed to get the movie tickets, I ended up paying the bill, which took an additional 10 minutes to process. This made me late for the film, which was frustrating and detracted from the overall experience. On a positive note, the manager kindly removed the second pitcher from our bill without mentioning it, which was a nice gesture since we hadn’t consumed much of it. I don’t want to come off as overly critical of the staff, as they were all very friendly and accommodating. Perhaps just a bit more efficiency could enhance the experience?"

"I am a regular, but will not return. I thought I would try her brunch menu there were 6 of us. service was shocking, not attentive, spent the majority of her time in the bar in the deep talk. ordered pancakes (2 of them) and they were like naanbrot. when we complained, they said they were doing them thick .. that we pointed out that it was difficult to cut them with a knife and fork. they took off the pancakes at the end. my friends ordered a sausage as extra, but they came to see not in the least appetit. there are much better places to brunch."

"My husband and I visit here fairly regularly with our 2 year old daughter and we always really enjoy it. On our latest visit we did have quite a wait for our mains as we were informed there was a new chef taking over in the kitchen. We didn't mind too.much as we were happy chatting and could see it was quite busy and our server (who I think may have been a manager) was apologetic and waived the cost of our daughters meal as a good will gesture which was very kind. When the food arrived it was perfect so no complaints there! We have been many times already and will be back again."

"My husband ordered the vegan homemade melanzane, and it was delicious. I ordered the vegan spaghetti napolitana.  It was on the bland side, but still quite good. There was a little bit of olive oil in it and it added a nice flavor. I also had the spicy garden salad, which was very flavorful. The staff was very helpful and very willing to accommodate me and make suggestions for me with my allergies. We went a second time because we were looking for some place close to where we were staying. We had the high protein salad, which contained chickpeas, red beans, olives, and mixed greens tossed with tahini and lemon juice. We also ordered the side of guacamole, which came with pickled jalapenos, sliced cherry tomatoes, small chunks of tomato, and tortilla chips. Both were delicious. "When we arrived, we couldn't find our booking. Luckily the restaurant was not busy and our party of 7 we were almost immediately sitting thanks to the manager. while pleasant our waitress was noticeable due to their absentness during the meal. additional drinks and additional foods were requested by other employees as they were over. Eat excellent, although we find that the portions shrink with each one we make. instead of expensive if they have a discount voucher or code (which we have). the entire ambiente is quite bad at this visit. Unfortunately, the latest news seems that this is still a different restaurant chain in difficult financial terms, which affects personal moral badly. this is a scandal, as we love eating and if the service it would tip not the staple prices."

"Popped in for a quick coffee and pasty for lunch, staff still friendly but the quality of the pasty I had was well below previous standard- they'd always been a favourite before. Tiny pieces of meat, not much of it, an excess of sliced vegetables and a lack of flavour- I felt corners had been cut. I enquired if the supplier had changed and was told no, the same as always...I returned my plate to counter as a disappointment. The staff apologised but did not offer a replacement or refund and I chose not to pursue it or comment further. We finished our coffees and mentally removed The Oggy Oggy Pasty shop from our favoured pasty list."

"We booked for a birthday brunch on a Sunday for 6. The place was full and we had to wait 10 mins for the table we had booked at 11. Once seated it was another 15 mins until our order was taken. 15 mins then until our drinks arrived and another 5 until the food showed up. Clearly massively understaffed and delays were not the staff’s fault although when we asked for something some fresh boiling water for the teapot and some more maple syrup we had to remind twice until they arrived. The bill took a full 15 minutes. Why do owners put staff and customers under stress only allow booking where your staff can cope? I was minded to remove the obligatory service charge but did not want to make a scene. As we had booked for brunch, we were expecting the normal things you would find on a brunch menu. There they were on the menu .. so we ordered only to be told: no sausages, no black pudding, no avocado, no French toast and, very strangely, no fried eggs but we could have poached or scrambled eggs! The food was OK except the bacon which was flabby, fatty streaky bacon that was only just cooked and not good quality. Guests at every table had left theirs on the side of the plate. For a restaurant claiming to serve an American style brunch, this was massively underwhelming. In short, we will not return and I strongly recommend that all reading this give this place a miss. There are plenty of much better places in Notting Hill."
