"The food was excellent and the staff were friendly at this restaurant. However, we were disappointed with the service and seating arrangement. We arrived at 12 o'clock and received our food 45 minutes later (although there were 7 of us). No one came to clear our plates or offer dessert menus. We were in a rush to attend a show at the SSE Hydro, so we asked for the bill and left without ordering dessert, even though we had booked our table in advance for a two-course meal. It seemed like there were not enough staff for the number of diners, and our tables were awkwardly placed next to a wall, making it difficult to get in and out. I would consider returning, but I believe they should have more employees during peak hours."

"Was struggling to find somewhere for a Sunday lunch before heading home from our weekend on the Isle of Wight. With 7 of us it was a challenge. Found this option and website wasn't overly inspiring. In reality the outlook of the marina was superb. The food was tasty and good portions but the most noticeable thing was the level of service. Not only that but the genuine smiles and helpfulness of the staff was first class. Great outside play area for the kids. Struggling to think what it lacks!"

"that was my first time in the city souvlaki and definitiw the last thing that is a scandal, because eating was nice, we couldn't blame it. I wish that could be said about the waitress. Every time she came to our table, she rolled her eyes and she saw it to other guests too, but not the ones that she knew we were creeping. I am a Greek cypriot, but I shouldn't flicker to get good service. a good service should be given to everyone, regardless of where they come from."

"We were looking for a great place to eat, and stumbled upon this restaurant. Let me tell you, we were blown away! The food was fantastic, the atmosphere was cozy, and the service was top-notch. "After we have booked Mother's Day Lunch by OpenTable several weeks in advance and have received confirmation of the booking, the worst part of our experience with my older mother arrived to tell from the person that Holiday Inn did not book through OpenTable and he had no record of our booking! This individual was quite rude and made it very clear that this was the customer's fault! I showed him the confirmation email I received, and he finally agreed to arrange a table. Once sitting, the meal was very good and the service was attentive. It was very regrettable that the administrative question between OpenTable and Holiday Inn was initially raised for my mother. I would recommend to contact Holiday Inn directly and to book this restaurant NOT via OoenTable."

"A fabulous evening, great food at a reasonable price with drinks. On entering we were given a big friendly greeting and because we go there early (before7) tried out the 2 for £10 cocktails. The waiter was great and explained the menu, we ordered 2 courses each all were different and each one was delicious. After this there was no room for a desert as we were all full. Excluding the cocktails we had 2 courses and 2 pints each and it came to £28 a head which was very reasonable for what we had. The atmosphere was brilliant matching the service. I would highly recommend it to anyone."

"We all had a wonderful dining experience at Hasturk. There was a wide variety of appetizers, main courses, desserts, and beverages to choose from. The service provided by the staff was excellent as well. This was our first visit, but it certainly won’t be our last. We’re looking forward to bringing our grandchildren along next time, as there’s something for everyone on the menu."

"It was a very comfortable, relaxing, safe and enjoyable experience. Even in a pandemic, Brickyard follows the guidelines and has many seating options with space around you. The food is always 10/10 and a great variety of craft beers on tap, with great cocktails too. If you enjoy the beer or cocktail, you can buy some growlers to go. The Pornstar Martini is my favorite because it’s not so sweet it makes your teeth hurt like other places. You can just sit back and enjoy it and take a double to go home . The Service is always friendly, honest and prompt. We enjoy their brunches too their Mimosa is out of this world and Bailey Lattes hit the spot. For this holiday season, I’m loving their Christmas Sando and their Korean Pancakes are always a staple with our family and group of friends. The Burgers are tasty too they even have a Vegan Burger my vegan friends love. The Chicken wings are yummy in the tummy with all of the variety of flavors tickling your tastebuds and Vegan friendly options of “cauliflower wings” so you can get something tasty. If you like real American hot spicy Brickyard has unlocked this formula and know how to do it well while not destroy the taste of the food. Again Brickyard’s food is 10/10"

"On entering I waited at the bar for 5 minutes before anyone even acknowledged me. In fact, in the end I had to ask to be served. I asked them why I had been ignored and they said they were so busy. No excuse I’m afraid. Anyway, after that we were led to our table and the service was good thereafter. In fact the servers were lovely. So on to the food. My scallops looked nice but were uncooked. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t like them over cooked, just to be clear, but they were jellified in the middle, ie. Undercooked. I sent them back. My fiancés bone marrow starter was exceptional however. So on to Sunday roasts. We would give them 6/7 out of 10. The red cabbage was sickly sweet and the roast potatoes were under par. Not crispy enough. Why oh why do they stack them in a pile on top of each other in plastic trays in the kitchen which only serves to steam them and ruins their crispiness? This is such a bug bear of ours. Anyway, overall it was an okay meal in a nice pub. We would go back, but get a grip of the spuds please!"

"I can see why the previous reviews are so poor. I visited here with my family this afternoon after booking for Saturday Brunch. I never leave reviews but I am so appalled at the service. On arrival we were struggling to open the doors as...the second was bolted. The staff watched my partner struggle to bring a pram in. When we arrived the staff just stared at us then asked were we ok. We were late for our table and they let us know that. It was teaming raining this morning and I had a newborn and 2 young children with me. So you can appreciate its hard to get out. The lady serving at the till was very rude. She wasn’t pleasant and when we asked for a children’s menu she was abrupt. If children are not welcome they should state this on the website. On the menu it stated ‘stackable pancakes’ and when arrived they were 2 small scotch like pancakes. The food was cold as if it had just been heated up rather than freshly cooked. And to make matters worse there was a long grey hair in my food. When I went to speak to the desk the woman didn’t apologise she just said she would get me another one. There was no apology or offer of compensation. When we were leaving again they had bolted the door so we couldn’t get through and stood around instead of holding the door. Considering the price of such small portions of food you would think the service would be immaculate. The staff sounded like they should be well mannered but every single member seemed like they just didn’t want to be there. Maybe you need to look at how the team are treated or the team working behind the scenes as there is clearly something not right."

"This pub is almost half way between us and a friend so we each drove for an hour or so to meet and have what was meant to be a special lunch on my birthday. Neither of us had been there before, but the set lunch menu looked very appetising. However, when we arrived (at 12.30 on a Thursday), we were told the set lunch wasn't available. No mention of that on the website, and as I had booked online, they had my contact details and could easily have let me know if it was just a one-off. It was too late by then to go anywhere else, especially as we weren't familiar with the area, so we settled for burgers and chips. Nice ones, and well cooked, but not what I would have chosen for a birthday meal!"

"So, I have been here once before the food was absolutely AMAZING and I have been really looking forward to coming here again The lobster last time was the most amazing lobster I have ever eaten in the UK. a good size, cooked to...perfection! On this occasion sadly, I feel as though the standard has completely dropped. The lobster was mushy which suggests it had not been stored properly (this usually happens when the lobster has been killed and left in the fridge for too long so the enzymes begin to break down the meat) I also found a hair at the side of my plate I let the waiter know and he just said ‘at least it’s not on your food, and wiped it off with his finger’ no apology that was it. I said nothing after this because I could sense by his energy that me saying anything more was going to become a battle I didn’t not have the energy for on this occasion Anyway I started writing my review and the waiter had seen so said ‘it’s that about me’ so I explained to him my concerns with the food. And he said ‘ok don’t damage the business’ He also explained that it’s the same chef etc but in all honesty that’s none of my business, from having such an amazing experience before to this. I am deeply disappointed. He did remove a apple juice and the service charge from the bill and apologised that the food was not the same and hoped we would have a better experience next time. This didn’t do much as I didn’t plan on paying the service charge anyway. Unfortunately I won’t be returning as that was a waste of on a unsatisfactory meal for people."

"We were celebrating and decided to visit The Boatyard. Upon arrival greeted nicely, shown to our table. We placed drinks orders, unfortunately there was no choice of non alcoholic beer or mocktails. The bar tender was able to fix up some virgin mojitos. We placed orders for starters and mains. Food arrived, but for some strange reason our mains arrived before we had even had our starters delivered to our table. We cancelled the starters and decided to have our main. Food allergies were mentioned to our server but unfortunately they got this very wrong, not impressed. We had no cutlery, napkins, no mention of condiments. Quite promptly a Manager/Owner arrived to try and rectify the situation and apologise for the blunders. The food was amazing but it's just a shame that the service didn't follow suit. We were offered our dessert as a gesture of goodwill by Management which we greatly appreciated. This was our first visit to The Boatyard and would like to return. the four stars is for the lovely standard and quality of food."

"Giving 5 stars for good taste, portion and prompt service. Person who served us was very professional with a friendly approach. They had issues with card payment machine so I advised them to get one with mobile/App or Web access as I had to wait a good 7 odd minutes to be able to pay, whilst I was in the rush. The CS person was very apologetic though."

"We were in the area looking for Sunday lunch so stopped by the Coventry Arms. The pub felt cramped and flew not well inside, but with a large outdoor area. The service was from the bar, although you had to be the right side of the bar, like me and several after me, were clearly stated. The young employees were enthusiastic, even until the point of a person tried to take our order twice! Food was hot, but quality wasn't great. It's a shame because you could hear that employees do their best for everyone."
