"So to start with me ordered the mackerel, which was probably my own fault to not understand the menu correctly when it arrived, it looked like a glass of paralyzed aals, very inconspicuous, but anyway I didn't have it to my taste though that could be just a question of personal taste (I'm not a fussy eater, but it was beyond me) so I sent it back. No alternative or refund offered. I then waited an hour for my main course (Pork-Jowl), which is my interpretation is 50% pork 50% fat, again, when it was served, it was totally inedible, I was literally served 3 pieces fat with a piece of pork cracking up. No meat. Again I returned my food and said I wouldn't pay it. My men's food was also taken away to keep warm while an alternative was prepared. Then I was finally served the beef stew who was good, but was too salty, my men's food was returned until it had dried quite a lot. I ordered a slim tonic and was brought full of fat, at this time I could not be harassed, so I drank it anyway. So... we booked a table for 8 o'clock and didn't eat until 10 o'clock. Luckily we had a good night because the food and service was so bad that we saw the humor in it and had a good laugh... reminded of fawlty towers, but for £80 it was a very disappointing experience. I mentioned it at check-out, but I did not offer compensation. Also the ambience was pampered for us by the fact that several diners had dogs that cracked all night, I have no problem with people who take their dogs for dinner, but I think owners should keep their pets under control and if they don't, then it is really to intervene to the restaurant. What didn't happen. All in all a very disappointing experience and we will not return"

"the hotel lies opposite harrods on the brompton road, mamounia lounge knightsbridge promises culinary delights in the near east, inspired cocktails, a lounge in free and entertainment. this is with a baroque style, best shown by the enormous chandeliers and red velvet drape over the restaurant room. this makes an interesting contrast, since mamounia does not try to reconstruct a Moroccan restaurant, but it aims at an eclectic mix. < br/> despite the decadent decoration there is a relaxed atmosphere in the restaurant, and as a result would be an ideal place for relaxed group eating weather for lunch or dinner. if they like to be entertained during the eating, then mamounia the place for them, as post 9pm they have a series of belly dancer and even djs we tried the mamounia special, which was similar to a mojito and exactly what we needed to cool on a hot day. at the beginning we ordered a well seasoned batata harra and hommus kawarma, which was embroidered with medaillons from lamb and pine nuts. both appetizers came in good time ordered and were a good portion size to begin our meal. for our main course I ordered the chicken kafta, the grilled spits of chop ham with fresh coriander, garlic, green and red pfeffer grilled. I was very impressed by this court, since the hawn was incredibly moist and tender, in which it literally melted in mouth. Although chicken kafta is probably a court that they can order in many restaurants in london, the court here was of a superior quality and definitiw one of the best chopsticks I had! my sweet ess accompanyer chose the grilled lamb cut and was equally impressed by the moist texture of the lamb. the spice on both was also divine and added a beautiful additional layer to the plate. we had sides of rice and more batata hara with our food and although this was a quite great meal, we had to try some desserts before we left! although mamounia have a selection of traditional Moroccan and Lebanese desserts, I gave myself my chocolate eater and ordered the homemade chocolate fondant with vanillest fresh. as this desert is made to order, it took about ten minutes to come, but this offered us the time to digest our previous courses! when the chocolate fondant arrived, it was warm and tasty creamy and made a wonderful paring with the ice. the fruits, which were usually a sortiment an berries, added to the sweet taste a welcome tangent. the baklava were not the traditional simple choice we thought we ordered and they were neither crispy or sweet. I probably had better baklava. this was, however, the only criticism of the food itself and they were redeemed by serving the perfect Moroccan tees. Can i afford Seconds? although located in knightsbridge, mamounia is not an overly expensive restaurant, especially served for the quality of the feeds. the most important courses including the daily start at £14 and dessert are also in the £6 series and the unique selection of cocktails are about £8. total? 3.5/5br br br/> eating in the mamounia lounge knightsbridge was definitiw the highlight of the experience. the service varied between the attempt too hard to pay much attention, but this can be because it seemed new workers on the day we have visited to train. we have not been hanging around for the entertainment as we were there"

"A good venue for a decent meal and peaceful night 's sleep in a convenient location. Some niggles. Liked · The rooms were clean, nicely decorated and the beds were v.comfortable. Functional and clean bathrooms with heated/steam free mirrors always a nice touch. The bedroom anciliary double gazing worked well to significantly reduce the passing traffic noise to the front (since property is right on the A39 . The included breakfast was tasty. This is a friendly, cosy and clean Pub in an ideal location for both Truro and Falmouth (being roughly midway . We had the Sunday Carvery and thought that this was tasty and reasonable value for money. Although we did experience some issues, we would likely consider staying again. Our summary would be that it 's a good venue that has the potential to be great, with some further attention to basic details (like: functional bedroom heating more joined up bar service . Disliked · The in room heating (appeared to be wall mounted electric oil filled radiators could NOT be made to function in either of our rooms AT ALL giving the appearance of being past their best, with illegible small LED control panels for which there were no instructions supplied. This was faulted out to the staff on our first evening (of a 3 night stay and, although we were informed that the manager will come out tomorrow these were NEVER successfully remedied whilst we were there. We were provided with a small portable oil filled radiator, which served our purposes OK but suggest that, once frosts and 'proper ' Winter sets in, the inability to heat bedrooms effectively will very likely prove to be an issue for future guests(! Although the staff were generally very friendly, there was an occasion on one of the evenings, when a drinks/snack order was placed with the passing staff member and after a 10 mins plus wait (were thinking just how long does it take to pour 2x drinks and grab a bag of snacks? the same staff member was chased, only to receive the reply: The receipt machine is broken, so the order didn 't go through... SO... have a backup system, then maybe?!!! (possibly we 'd still be waiting? Another observation was that many of the staff appeared to be very young and had the air of being rather inexperienced... but then we guess that everyone has to learn somehow. Parking: Parking filled rapidly on Weekends so worth arriving a little early to secure a spot. Price per person: £100 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes: Roast Beef, Full English Breakfast, Moules Mariniere, Smoked Salmon and Eggs Benedict Parking space: Somewhat difficult to find parking"

"This restaurant delivered a pizza to my house by mistake, the pizza was meant to be for a house, about four doors away from me. I was cooking BBQ food in the garden when there was a knock at the door, which my wife answered. Her son who was working upstairs, has takeaway food delivered at least three time a week. She accepted the delivery, thinking it was for him, she called out to him and he replied that he hadn't ordered anything. She asked me, I said no, of course not. I checked the delivery for signs of where it had come from of where it was supposed to be. There were no indications at all, no phone numbers, no restaurant name, no receipt and no delivery note. I said leave it there, they will come back when the mistake is spotted. 40 minutes went by and there was a knock at the door. A very angry man asking me if we had received a food delivery. He was the person who placed the order. I told him we had and explained what had happened. He calmed down a little, I asked him if he wanted the food, he said no, not now. It was then that I decided to compost the food and recycle the cardboard. 10 minutes later another knock and another angry person, this time from the restaurant. Again I explained what had happened but I got the impression he did not believe me, he walked away shaking his head, I asked him where had he and the food come from. He told me Plenty in Hampton. My initial thoughts were surprise, as I was busy cooking. However later I was angry. Angry that the restaurant gave out my number and angry that I was questioned by the manager/owner or whoever he was. Surely they should have printed a receipt or delivery note and surely giving out my address was very wrong."
