"as italian itself there are always 5 dings that I want to check in a restaurant I want to go: Italian spearking staff good products and authentic aromen specialized in the day and the flexibility on the menu good coffee clean tables and attention to the customer. I was greeted by annunziata and then served by the Slovak manager, whom I do not remember the names, but was supercompetent and always looking at me. if they are alone usually tables tend to overlook them, but this time was not the case. I ordered the special of the day, a dessert and a coffee. Waiting times were for what was cooked, and the staff is attentive to everything that goes on the floor. only small cons is the toilet of the herrn has a window in which people can go after what business they do. I will either set a ventilation and close the window or use something else. the prices are good and the steingebackene pizza is superior to the other in the city. also a hauch of class does not immediately charge the 20% up, but let them know that everything goes up in tips straight to waiter. that is a really classy and all business should take note. make one like and taste this restaurant when they live here."

amazingly good, fantastic ambiente, lots of service. the location is easy to reach with good parking nearby. highly recommended if you like to eat napoli style Italian. outside of neapel, this is one of the best I had!

Great Italian food from Napoli. I had the seafood pasta and my friend had the quattro formaggi pizza. Both were outstanding. The restaurant is not far from the city center. Helpful Hint: There is an informative 90 minute tour of Canterbury for £10 beginning at Christchurch gate at 11:00 AM. Take the tour and after the tour have lunch at Posillipo.

What a great find! Excellent Italian food including seafood—not your typical spaghetti and meatballs with sauce from a can. This is real cooking from scratch. Even the pasta noodles were obviously upscale. Great wines at good prices. Service top notch and friendly. Restrooms very clean. It’s only a five minute walk from the cathedral and definitely worth it. View menu

Had a 50th birthday lunch here and it was fantastic. The food is delicious and plentiful. The staff are welcoming and friendly. It has a lovely atmosphere. It was a leisurely lunch for 6 (couple of hours). We booked online and everything went smoothly. My dessert was decorated with birthday wishes and the restaurant sang happy birthday! Would highly recommend.

we booked this on the basis of a recommendation from the receptionist in our hotel. great selection on the menu, as well as daily specialties. the personal was attentive, but not excessive. the wine card is great and cheap for a city center. my man ordered the octopus star who, when he realized, it was probably not for him a whole grilled tentakel. no problem with his understanding. all in all excellent value and thoroughly recommended

one of the best restaurants in canterbury. everything was delicious. at the beginning we had caprese salat and fried calamari, which was fresh and crispy. for the net we had linguine ofgole and the calzone that was filled with ricotta cheese salami sink, and I added some nduja to season it. very tasty. service was fast and we were moved to a better table although it was pretty busy. will definitely visit again when I am back in canterbury. large, authentic Italian restaurant, which offers a very extensive menu, a great selection of weeping and specialties in a relaxed environment, we enjoyed a trio of bruschetta from the specialities, followed by the bauletti (ravioli filled with caciocavallo cheese and wild broccoli in butter and sage sauce) and the linguine al gamber all staff are really friendly and the manager is excellent. online booking is easy. for a traditional, authentic Italian offer an excellent choice and quality of food, which is not to like!

we have lived 11 years in canterbury, and when we have failed that itals always went for one of the obviously great chain restaurants, we did not know about posillipo until a colleague at work recommended it. we are so glad that she did it, the atmosphere is great, so was eating, the service was perfect, attentive, but without being in her face and the wee was wonderful. the perfect place to go before they go to the marlowe, no hurry or bring them their pornstars if they still enjoy starter as experienced in the well-known restaurants. a visit to posillipo was the perfect start to a great evening. there is only one place where we like italian in future.

"After never visiting Canterbury before we where looking for somewhere to have a late lunch, we came across this place which looked ok, upon entering the back room we were offered to take a seat in the front area and someone will be with us. We asked what food there was and we where sarcastically shown the food on the blackboard, after choosing what we wanted the polite man went off and put the order in. We did feel that because the man had asked a couple of questions to another member of staff that he was spoke down too a bit. Anyway after placing the order and what we wanted the food came out it wasn’t correct but because it seemed like we were going to interrupt the people in the back room we just took what we had. It was nice food though. When we went to pay we hadn’t noticed that there wasn’t a price list so when we asked for the bill we were told that it was donation, what we thought was enough, it wasn’t posted anywhere and it took us by surprise as we where standing at the till, I was going to pay in cash but was told they don’t take cash so I had to give my donation in card by telling the person how much we where donating. After plucking a figure out of air as we wasn’t prepared we paid and left. Upon leaving we felt that the person we paid thought we hadn’t paid enough and wasn’t happy with the amount but after working out what we would have paid properly we worked out that we had paid more than what it might have been if there was a proper price on everything. Overall it has a great ethos and it’s great for giving people the experience that they need to be in a working environment but they need to show the price or tell customers first that it’s donations and card only."
