"I came in for a meal with my god-daughter who has just moved to Guildford. Olivo is a good restaurant and I have eaten here before so I felt it was a good choice for her first dining experience in Guildford. I was pleased that we had a nice evening. We shared a starter and then both had mains and coffee. The food was excellent as ever. Very nice service as ever from very professional cheerful and attentive staff. Very reasonable too. It was a good sign that the restaurant was busy on a cold dark Thursday in early January. I definitely recommend Olivo and will come again."

"I have eaten in Sale e Pepe before and really enjoyed it. I needed to eat quickly and popped in to see if they had a table for 1. They did and I ordered spaghetti Carbonara and a large whiskey and coke. They brought some bread. I asked for butter. I didn’t get it. The spaghetti arrived quickly and it looked strange. It was like a solid lump of pasta. Very sticky and gluey. I ate a few mouthfuls but couldn’t eat anymore. I told the waiter and he brought the maitre de over. He asked if I wanted something else but as I was in a hurry I declined. I asked for the bill. He had taken the pasta of but it was still £21. So I had virtually nothing to eat and charged £17 for a whiskey. Given the situation I would have expected him to say ‘no charge’ This is a very reputable restaurant but I was very disappointed and hungry."

"It was our first time eating at Giovanni’s yesterday after recently moving to Knutsford. And what a treat it was. The waiter could not have been any better and went out of his way to ensure we had a lovely meal. He even bought over a little juice and ice cream for our 2 year old and also a dessert treat for my husband as it was his Birthday. The service was outstanding and the food was just delicious. We will definitely be back soon! Thank you!"

"We were drawn in here because it looks so nice and cosy from the outside and appeared busy which is usually a good sign. Waitress took us to a downstairs table straight away but we found it very cold and cellar like down there. No windows to people watch the streets of London. Agree with others, food mediocre and soft drinks way over priced. We asked for vinegar for our chips and waitress brought over balsamic vinegar? When waiter brought over the bill, he stood beside me waiting on payment. I witnessed him earlier do this at another table. This is uncomfortable, usually patrons are left for a few mins to peruse the bill. Shocked to see they add 13.5% service charge. I know this is discretionary, however, highest charge in any London restaurant we visited and service was not fitting of this although I did pay as his closeness felt slightly intimidating. We wouldn't return."

"We visited Ponti’s on a Friday early evening for my wife’s birthday. It was a great experience from start to finish. Firstly the staff were all really friendly and welcoming. There was a good selection of drinks. We had Parmigiana and Truffle Arancina for starters, both of which were amazing. Then Fettucine Salmone and Linguine ai Gamberi for main both were great. They made a lovely gesture for my wife by bringing out a complimentary dessert. Overall fantastic"

"My wife and I make it a point to have a meal out at least once a month. Our previous experiences at this restaurant have been very good. We started with appetizers as usual, but when I ordered a medium rare filet steak, it came out well-done. I was disappointed to hear the staff try to convince me that it was cooked to the correct temperature. I shouldn't have to explain the difference between medium rare and well-done. Eventually, they replaced my steak with a medium rare one, but only after my wife had finished her meal."

"my wife and I try to get a meal at least once a month, previous visits here were very good. starter were in order, but I ordered a medium rare filet steak for my head, got my steak, which was done well, mistakes happen, but try to tell me that the steak was medium rare was just frustrating, I should not explain the difference, so replaced my steak with a medium rare, although after my wife had finished her meal."

"We were a party of 16 friends who shared a set menu of starters, pizzas pasta. The whole evening was super great staff who were pleasant, knowledgable patient with our large party. An amazing variety of food delicious served with beautiful presentation care. Gluten free diets were easily catered for nothing was too much trouble. The puddings, coffee wine flowed we were under no pressure to leave at all even at 11pm. This really felt like a restaurant where the owners are present at the heart of a great team. "the Ribelli Sunday brunch is really excellent! we enjoyed the version with free flow prosecco. at 44 € we can only recommend the brunch completely (without prosecco 34 €). the pizzas are excellent. both the small breakfast spizza, as well as the normal (big) pizzen tasted us excellent. also the breakfast buffet does not read a wish open. all we have tasted has excellent taste (lax, salami, crimp, diw cheese (especially delicious: gorgonzola), salami, washbasin, ice cream, speck, seasoned, seasoned, seasoned, seasoned, seasoned, seasoned, seasoned, seasoned, seasoned, seasoned, seasoned, seasoned, seasoned, seasoned, baked). "This was our first visit to Connubio since we recently moved to Crouch End. We were very warmly greeted, seated, and shown the menus. The waiter a young guy with glasses was really friendly and helpful, giving us good recommendations for white wine to start us off (the Frascato). We then ordered the calamari to start; two lamb cutlets, a king prawn pasta, the sea bass as mains; and a side of mixed leaf salad. The calamari was delicious super fresh and soft and tasty. The pasta and sea bass were great too but we found the lamb cutlets to be disappointing. They were rather bland and without any depth or flavour, including the mashed potato with olive pate. On paper they sounded great but the dish didn't deliver. Our mixed salad also took so long to make an appearance (it still hadn't arrived when we were 3/4 through our mains) that we decided to cancel it We fed these two shortcomings back to the owner who genuinely seemed crestfallen about this, as it is his family run business. During the main meal, we had a wonderful red wine with the meal again recommended by the young waiter the Don Vito Prestige Salento. To round things off, we had the tiramisu. Oh. My. God. It was so good there's only one better that I've ever had. It was very light and we'll balanced between the coffee and the liqueur. Not overly sweet. Overall I'd recommend going to Connubio da Fabio. It has a lovely and classy vibe, friendly staff (although the female waitress tonight really just couldn't care less), and overall really great food. Just a shame about the bland lamb and the salad which had to be cancelled but everything else was great. The owner was kind enough to offer us a gesture of goodwill for our feedback. I will definitely come back again to try more of their food and wine!"

"as soon as they enter the restaurant, they feel the warmth of the server. Before I commented on their dishes, I would like to say that the server were exceptional! they were very attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and more. our experience here was much better because of the staff. for eating! I have eaten a lot of authentic Italian food, and la galleria sits right on the zaun of authenticity. the dishes we ate were delicious in view of the price, but if authentic Italian cuisine is what they are looking for, they could be a bit disappointed here. only light. "this cozy restaurant offers them a lot of fantastically arranged and a five-star service. "Aubaine is by far the best place for you to catch up over good food, nice service and enjoyable ambience, especially the branch located at High str Kensington. We were welcomed warmly and directed to a seat next to the window paving to the street view. I ordered a croque monsieur which was divine (could've gone for a second one..but calories!! and some tea. The service was impeccable, the clientele posh and the ambience enjoyable. I would recommend this french restaurant for anyone in the neighborhood (even Aubaine in any other part of London . Can't wait to try out some of the other yummy dishes on their menu. Very much recommended!"

"We arrived in good time for our reservation having traveled up from London. Our table had a window view of the canal and tow path. Our waiter was friendly and was able to give us information on our choice of dishes. Our starters were quite good although the prawns were smothered in too much sauce which made for rather messy eating. Our main dishes were traditional British fare and included the Fish and Chips with mushy peas which were good and served in good time. The evening went well as the restaurant section of the pub filled up and this lead to a nice ambiance. The bill for four was quite reasonable considering we enjoyed two bottles of their New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. We would certainly go back when we are in Birmingham again."

"I chose this restaurant as the menu wasn't too expensive and is located within easy reach of the Albert Hall. I would say our waiter James seemed to be having a bad day and really struggled to smile. Cheer up James, it might never happen! I was surprised by the 13.5% service charge which is the highest I've seen but perhaps that's a sign of the times. Would I go again? Well I couldn't argue with the quality of the tiramisu."

"This Italian restaurant offers delicious Italian cuisine. The only downside was that the surf and turf lobster portion was small for the price. The service was excellent with a rating of 5 out of 5. I dined in for dinner and the price per person was between £60-70. The food was rated a 4 out of 5 and the atmosphere was also rated a 4 out of 5. I would recommend trying the steak and lasagne dishes."
