"Went into this Pizza express on a Saturday evening. Having previously been here and received excellent service we were hopeful of getting the same this time. However, this was sadly not to be. We were shown to a table and duly ordered food and drinks . I also asked for a jug of water. The drinks came but no water. I noted that they were busy so decided to give them time. The starters arrived quickly and were fine. There were four of us and three mains arrived together. We then had a wait for the fourth. After a short while this arrived. We noticed that the polenta chips we had ordered had not arrived. We queried this and were told that it would be chased. A while went past and we asked again. This time the waitress said that she would query this. She came back and said that she was sorry but the chefs had forgotten them and they were cooking them now. Another long wait occurred and we asked again! This time she apologised and went to chase them again. Finally, just as we had nearly all finished our meals the elusive polenta chips arrived! Sadly although having asked for a jug of water multiple times, after several excuses it never materialised . For the prices they now charge, I expected better Pizza Express."

"We were in the area and decided to stop at this restaurant for a meal. The restaurant was very quiet with only a couple of tables occupied. Upon entering, all the staff were gathered together and gave us a strange look, with one employee staring at us in an unfriendly manner. We were seated at a table and ordered drinks and food, including the 'Duo Romana' pizza with 'Padana' on one half and 'Sloppy Giuseppe' on the other half. The pizza took longer to arrive than expected for a nearly empty restaurant. Unfortunately, the pizza did not meet the standards we have come to expect from this chain, being thinner than a crepe and soggy, making it difficult to eat. The other dishes we ordered were also subpar. The staff were relatively friendly, but their overall attitude could have been better. In conclusion, the food did not meet the chain's usual standard. The establishment appeared clean and is in a convenient location, but there may be better dining options nearby."

"I went for breakfast with a friend. We had booked but were ignored when we arrived, even though the place was pretty empty. Finally seated and waitress didn't bring us drinks menu but wanted us to order straight away before we had a chance to even look at the food menu. I had the pancakes with syrup and bacon, with a sausage on the side. Everything was burnt, covered in black stuff. My friend had the eggs royale, she said the salmon was a funny colour and there was way too much sauce. Staff we're very unattentive, even though the place was quiet. We wanted to order more juice and coffee, they seemed surprised I was trying to get their attention to order!"

"As the restaurant got busier, the service did slow down a bit, which was expected. An older man took our orders for starters and mains. When we asked for dessert menus, we were left waiting for about 20 minutes. Eventually, my husband had to call over our original server, as the one who took our main order was nowhere to be found. Finally, a lovely lady wearing a headscarf brought us our desserts. She had a charming smile and was very polite. Overall, our experience would have been rated 5 stars if it weren't for the waiting and the lack of menus. To the new server: I used to work at a pizza express years ago, so don't worry, you will get there. You're doing great!"

"Just been for a meal,have to say very over priced for what's on offer,had the lasagne very watery hardly had any meat no substance to it at all,never offered a kids menu,so presumably didn't have one,then googled it found out kids menu available instead of adults pizza and adults chocolate brownie a child's portion would be surfice,1 drink,1 pizza,1 lasagne, 1 carbanara 3 deserts £72 extortionate the lasagne was better at spoons can't see them making that from scratch in the time we got it,won't be going again any time soon,if food was exceptional I'd be ok with it,didn't complain as staff member was foreign and very sharp with us didn't want to cause a seen.also very cramped and noisey.id also like to say there's a sign outside saying kids eat free all summer what a joke"

"This restaurant is definitely worth a visit. The 50/50 Romana pizza was great, and the brownie and ice cream were amazing. The service was wonderful and friendly. The only downside was the small portion of the Pollo Pesto pasta, which tasted great but left me still feeling hungry. Overall, everything else tasted great and the atmosphere was lively on a Saturday night, perfect for a pre-concert meal. I would recommend sticking to the pizzas if you want to leave feeling full."

"That is the first and last time I will ever order from pizza express Wembley. I ordered the lasagne was clearly frozen before and just cooked in a metal container. Had no flavour, hardly any meat. Was so disappointed. I also ordered polenta fries, they were soggy with burnt cheese on top. I also ordered the bruschetta. The dough wasn’t even cooked properly and was also soggy. It was disgusting. Waste of my money. Had a few bits and through it in the bin. So like I said at the beginning the first and last time I ever ordered from Pizza express."

"OK I get that restaurants take bookings , and walk buy guests can cause a problem but this tiny PE was at best 35% full. On entering the door the Maitre 'D ignored us for a couple of minutes while shuffling menus around and then having been asked the obvious 'have you made a reservation ' question we got a lot of deep sighs and well I suppose I can get you in but you MUST be out within the hour. Fair enough, but then to wait 10 mins to be asked if we were ready to order from a menu that is hardly expansive..... That said the food arrived within five minutes of that so had either been par cooked or the pasta just warmed in a microwave. Even more surprising when asking for this bill this took two attempts and a further 10 minutes to process.Advice- Don 't bother visiting unless you have booked, oh and incidentally when did PE become the new Maccy D 's with crayons drawing pads and paper hats for a restaurant full of screaming kids?"

"in the title lies a compliment a big one and apparently very difficult to achieve. We arrived at appx 13.40 on Saturday afternoon and the place was packed, deservedly so. Whether by luck or judgement here's an example of a restaurant where kitchen and waiting staff appeared to be working in perfect harmony. "Came here Sunday night so it wasn’t busy, only a few tables. We walked in and took a couple of mins before anyone helped us to a table. We said table for 2 and he looked at us like we needed to book a table as if it was so busy there was no table free. We said we didn’t book and showed us to our table. Got menus, waited and waited for 20 mins before anyone came to take our order. No one came by beforehand to ask if we wanted drinks. Staff walking around clearly could see we were waiting to get served but ignored us. We ordered drinks and food. My husband ordered spirit and waitress said we don’t serve that here. He said it’s on the menu so she had to check. It’s like are you serious. Surprisingly the food came out almost immediately. Garlic bread was nasty, a bun barely slathered with garlic butter. It was just bread with a smidge of garlic butter. The pizza was ok a bit salty. No one checked up on us and being it wasn’t busy, they should’ve had time to check on us. Horrible service for mediocre food."

"My friend and I had been to a spa in Manchester and chose to eat at Pizza Express as we had some Tesco Clubcard Vouchers. The Corn Exchange was the nearest Pizza Express to us so we chose this one. It was a hot sunny afternoon and most diners were outside, however the branch of Pizza Express does not have outside seating so we went inside. Naturally it was very quiet due to the weather. But the service was good and the food delicious. Previously we have always had the vegan nourish bowl at Pizza Express but as this is not on the new menu we had the Beetroot Buddha Bowl instead. It was delicious! For dessert I had the vegan ginger cake which was gorgeous and my friend had the Lotus Biscoff cheesecake. The desserts here are delicious! All in all a lovely experience."

"I have been to all the Pizza Expresses in Surrey and whilst this doesn't quite beat the Farnham branch for their dough this place is an absolutely jem. I have no idea why some people stick their noses up at pizza express the food here was now after two times of eating... definitely above average. The waitress was attentive... friendly.. accommodating.. And even sterilized my babies dummy for me when it fell on the floor. We had the antipasti sharing platter and Romana American hot with extra roquito chillies and it was to die for. My little girl loves the cheesy bread that comes with the sharing platter. All in all I am convinced this place is underrated ... It's warm.. inviting.. clean... And just generally a nice place to be. We already love pizza express but nevertheless I can guarantee we will be back to this Worcester park branch again.. It's better than Surbiton, Esher and Kingston if you ask me."

"Came here Friday 22nd March for a family meal before a wedding in Knutsford on the Saturday. The food was fantastic and well made, the children loved the pizza and we all enjoyed it. We visit Pizza Express restaurant a lot and this is one of the best we have been to. But... when there my granddaughter age 5 became unwell and unfortunately was sick outside the toilet, well our waitress a young girl went above and beyond in cleaning this up and checking we where ok, we offered to clean up ourselves but she would not allow us to do this. The waitress could only have been about 20 but her professionalism and they way she dealt with this was amazing, l only wish we had got her name to inform the manager of how great she was. The also boxed up her food so she was able to take it home."

"I had a wonderfully 21st century dining experience in this restaurant this evening; from being asked on arrival if I wanted to see the Vegan menu to being seated and asked if I had any allergies or special dietary requirements... I was told that my waitress would be either Beth or Sarah ? I never did find out which it was but that didn 't affect the quality of the food or service! then I was given a sensible amount of time to choose my food before an efficient and attentive if unknown waitress took my order. I ordered a bottle of Peroni Gran Riserva which was extremely tasty and started with crab arancini a new menu item which was delicate and flavoursome, especially with the addition of a squeeze of lemon, and then had a Diavolo pizza topped with spicy beef, pepperoni, green pepper, Tobasco sauce and a choice of hot pepper I had roquito with a side of broccolini tenderstem broccoli roasted with garlic and chilli which was perfectly cooked with a nice al dente crunch. I mused to myself that the broccolini should have been called scorpion stems as it 's certainly had a sting in the tale from the chillies ! and the pizza also knocked me backwards with its warmth, but I got used to it and it was very yummy. I had been expecting sweet roquito pearls but the more firey roquito peppers were a new experience for me. The entire meal was delicious I cleared every plate and it was easy to summon service so that I could get my bill and promptly pay and leave. The staff and especially the chef who took his time to come and explain to me that there was a difference between roquito peppers and roquito pearls, and that they used pearls on the salads. Personally, I think next time if I order another diavolo pizza, I will ask them to hold the Tabasco and swap the peppers for pearls but I can 't fault them for something I didn 't ask for! Bravo!"

"A recent birthday lunch with my 9 year old granddaughter and some friends, before a craft class at Hobbycraft was a great success. My daughter and I ordered a pizza for ourselves and the 5 girls had a good choice from the older children 's menu. Pizza Hut helped us all sing happy birthday to my granddaughter and provided a knife which was safe to use to cut some cake for the girls to take home. No mess to tidy up, the cooking was done for us and it was not an expensive lunch."

"We were here in a large group for a work Christmas do. I'm sure everyone is trying to do their best but... we waited 15 minutes for our order to be taken and then sat for 45 minutes with just glasses of water and no drinks. We could see a wine fridge but were told the wine had to chill first and was coming from downstairs. We were way past caring if it was chilled. They didn't have enough glasses and we had to go down and get some brandy glasses for our wine. When the food came it was delicious but 3 of our party got their pizzas 10 minutes after everyone else. There just weren't enough staff on to serve three large groups upstairs and all the downstairs customers. When we asked for the service charge to be taken off the bill a senior waitress came and argued with us, asking us why and explaining that they would lose their tips. No sense of the customer being right."

"I was diagnosed with Coeliac Disease 18 years ago and frankly I have in all of that time NEVER had a decent pizza………..until today. I met my son in London and we went to Pizza Express in Millbank near Westminster. A delightful waitress called Chiara attended our table and took our order. I requested a Gluten-free Romana Burnt-Ends pizza and a Gluten-free Peroni. Our order came out in a short period of time. The beer was lovely -but the pizza was on another level. The pizza-chef ‘Unay’ made me a lovely, moist and tasty pizza. This was unlike any Gluten-free pizza I’d had before. It was not dry -it was not hard or biscuit-y -it was not difficult to digest. But it was tasty and unlike any other GF pizza. I must commend the waiting staff, the pizza chef and the commitment of the company to offer a decent allergy option. Lots of restaurants talk the talk -but Pizza Express really walked the walk. I will definitely revisit and these members of staff truly went the extra mile to meet my dietary needs."
