"I'd read the reviews about this tea room and thought surly it can't be that bad !! Unfortunately even before I'd got to the door my family were turning around to come out. We are moving to the area soon and thought it'd nice to see what was on offer for refreshments nearby we had our small ten week old puppy with us who was fast asleep in one of my son's arms) apparently dogs aren't allowed in this tea room which is fair enough but the man wasn't very friendly in the way he talked to my family. However he did say that there was somewhere down the road that allowed dogs.....needless to say we went to another cafe called the Anglia Hotel it wasn't quite what I expected but it was welcoming and everyone loved our puppy. It was absolutely spotless it had a retro feel about it) the food was delicious needless to say we will be visiting the Anglia Hotel again."

"a little disappointed. I had expected more based on the reviews. the amount of each of the meal times is bad, but the quality is even bad, in the rule are the Turkish very tasty, beautiful and soft bun and lamb, which were not even cut through. it was the worst turkish we've ever tried, and we've tried many. the other thing I want to emphasize is cleaning, toilets and restaurant in general are not what they can expect in terms of cleaning."

"We called the restaurant 2h before as we were visiting a friend close by and they managed to get us is! I am so pleased to have visited this restaurant! The ambience and decor is great and this is equally matched by the friendly and attentive staff. We chose the squid and olives for nibbles (no pic, we ate too quickly) the squid was the best! We then enjoyed the burrata, soup and goats cheese. The burrata was a very large portion and I was unable to finish it lovely all the same. We then all ordered the Sirloin Sunday roast, and WOW this was one of the best Sunday roasts we’ve had. The slices were like steaks, there was a great variety of vegetables and we struggled to leave any! There was a little while of a wait between starters and mains and it would have been nice to have been asked if we would have liked any more drinks in between this. However, they were busy and it’s not deterred me from returning. The prices are on the higher side but this married up with the quality. Thank you and I look forward to coming back!"

"I visited yesterday evening as a treat, as I haven’t eaten at Mirage since before lockdowns. The food was fantastic my Fillet Mirage steak and the sides were delicious and very generous portions. The service was great and the owner is really friendly so it was lovely speaking to him also!"

"This is probably quite high up on the worst pubs of Norfolk. The basic pub food such as scampi isn’t even good. I mean how do you go wrong with basic fried food?! Everything else is microwaved. Most things on the menu were sold out. There was a hair in the food, the toilets are grim. The whole place is just dirty. Really really really bad. Don’t go here, even if there’s no other place to go, don’t go here!"

"We turned up here just after lunch service for food had finished. We were starving. We had drinks and a packet of crisps in the beer garden. It was so lovely an afternoon we stayed for another couple of drinks and then the chef came back from her break and offered to make us a meal. Fantastic service. We both had the Wagyu steak, it was beautifully cooked and I would go back for more. We also had bottle of wine, couldn't fault the quality. Staff were lovely and we were made to feel very welcome, including our dog. Thanks for a lovely afternoon"

"Wow what a refurb! Popped in on Horn Dance day (11th September) and was super impressed. Now back for lunch and to have a proper look around. The Goat has the professional look and feel of an upmarket City centre pub/bar, but with the warmth and friendliness of a great local pub. The new owners are dog lovers, and there's even a doggie refreshment bar! The outside entertainment on Monday (Horn Dance day) was outstanding, so I'm looking forward to the next event. Today I had a quick pub lunch their cob meal deal . Delicious. The Goats Head is open 11 11, so Ill definitely be back to try the evening menu. Love it!"
