"Came in a Saturday lunch for mums birthday. I have been to Vietnam 5 times in holiday and it’s one of my favourite cuisines. I was a bit disappointed here. Food was freshly cooked but not totally authentic. Fresh summer rolls were the best dish but the dipping sauce was not the fish sauce/ chilli dipping sauce that would be typical. it was a chili lime sauce that seemed to be ubiquitous here , also served with my Bun cha pork lemon grass noodles), which is not the typical sauce with this dish. The beef pho looked promising but mum thought the soup was instant. The beef was more like a sliced beef brisket. The spring rolls were tasteless. Sorry won’t be back"

"Although I am not typically a patron of Starbucks, I decided to stop in for a coffee while waiting for a train. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The service was adequate, but the coffee itself was lacking. It was weak and had very little flavor, and the milk had a slight sour taste. It didn't seem spoiled, but it certainly wasn't the freshest."

"The restaurant recently got new management. Unfortunately, one of the staff members, a lady, was seen smoking and sitting on the grass verge without washing her hands afterwards. She also had her phone in her hand, which was not very hygienic. Overall, this was quite a disappointing and unsanitary experience."

"Well... there 's a reason the staff don 't ask you how you 're food was. Not only are they clearly all dead behind the eyes, they know the food is massively over stated. The menu tantalizes you like a siren calling a sailor to his doom. £16.50 for a rib platter that comprised of a singular rib with less meat on the bone than if they pulled it off the carcass of a starved dog. £15+ for brisket which was 2 thin slices of beef with less flavor than a hookers panty liner, each mouthful brought less flavour than the last. For the price, I wouldn 't expect to get better at a Toby Carvery, but you certainly can! Each dish was served with roast potatoes and a pickle pot... A PICKLE POT!"

"there was an increase in the amount of burger places from late, no longer makes the standard chicken or 1/4 peer cut it with the average foodie. uptown burger is one of the new restaurants in leyton, near sawara grill and the famous gyms kitchen. inside is a little more beautiful space, large exposed brick wall and simple decoration. I came here on a Saturday afternoon, in which is a lunch special, classic American burger, chips and drink for £5.99 I ordered lamb cups, they were on the small side, but they were tasty, a BBQ style taste to them. the burger was a good size, there were no gimmicks like loaded burger (ilford) it was easy but delicious. it was not excellent with regard to aromen, but it was very pleasant. I would definitely come back to try another burger from the main menu. food 4 worth 4.5 service 3.5 atmosphere 3.5"

"Absolutely amazing vibes, this one is a hell of a place! So cool ambience which you can 't help but notice as soon as you enter this place, various seating options from high seating, low seating, couch, bar stools etc. and very happening music to set the right tone for the evening. So my partner in crime this time was my little sister who gave me a surprise visit and as we made ourselves comfortable to this cozy place I ordered a Dry cider Maeloc for myself and Blueberry and hazelnut daiquiri for my sister. Those who don 't know Daiquiri is a rum based cocktail mixed with citrus fruits juice and lime, while cider is a beer type fuzzy alcoholic drink but sweeter as it 's made of fermented apples. after appreciating the view,comfort, music and a lot of chit-chat over our drinks which were quite refreshing we ordered food so I decided to go for Slow roasted shredded chicken burritos and I hate to admit that it was the first time I was trying it and I found it so good that I actually regret not trying it earlier, it was filled with rice,beans,mozzarella n cheddar cheese, sour cream and salsa sauce apart from chicken ofcourse and it was so yummy. My sister ordered a tried and tested Chipotle chicken quesadillas which was also good but not at par with the burritos. Staff was really nice too. Simply put we had fantastic time at this wonderful place and will definitely be going again soon."

"First of all, as I went in I went to the toilet, which were disgusting, they need cleaning! Secondly after ordering my food and waiting nearly 10 minutes for some so called ‘fast food’ in that time I saw 2 or 3 employees roll their eyes at customers chuck food into bags/tray and then a feeble attempt to call out peoples order, I could barely hear and I was right in front of the counterI finally get my food and drive home, I eat my food... which is cooked just as much as it needs to be before it’s bad. "As it's a BD bar, the beer is great, the staff are helpful and knowledgeable and seem to come in on their days off. Being in Shoreditch, you can hipster spot and chuckle at the dafter ones. Decor is what you would expect. Music played is an interesting mix of stuff I know and modern stuff I don't, mostly enjoyable. No hobby DJ (at least not on a Saturday afternoon) Prices London, ouch. 10% EP discount helps here, so it makes a pint of Punk IPA the same price as Cat's Wee somewhere else. It makes an old gimmer like me feel a lot younger!"

"the food really enjoyed. large selection of burgers and loaded frits. all 4 of our party were very impressed by the burgers. add the loaded frits and they have a very good portion food. table-tennistic and billard tables will mean that this is an unlikely romantic place for two, but a fun night safe. sad service was not brilliant. not terrible, but the chef had to bring the food to the table and didn't seem impressed that he had to do it. Long wait until we got the waiting staff for another drink, so we have a bill and went next door to the pub. overall enjoyed the experience and believe that it had only recently opened. not really an excuse for bad service, but maybe better next time."

"Originally starting as a popup in 2012, The Joint quickly became a permanent fixture in the London dining scene with 2 locations in Brixton and Marylebone. I first tried their sandwiches at the Brixton branch in Brixton Village about 3 years ago and have been a fan ever since. The menu is simple yet satisfying, with a selection of mains and sides to choose from. I opted for the beef brisket bun with smoked aioli and bacon relish, which was absolutely delicious. The brisket was tender and flavorful, complemented perfectly by the savory and sweet relish. The brioche bun was also outstanding, freshly baked and buttery. Don't forget to order a side of wings, whether BBQ or hot, they are a must-try. The Joint continues to impress with their incredible flavors and quality ingredients. "After not visiting this fried chicken restaurant for a few years due to lockdowns and the pandemic, we decided to book a table as a birthday treat. We made sure to book in advance to secure a table for the time we needed. The restaurant had all the standard COVID prevention measures in place, such as masks, dividers, hand sanitizer, and social distancing, which made us feel more comfortable. The service was good, with drinks being taken promptly and we never felt rushed throughout the evening. Our order included a Korean BBQ burger, Nashville Hot wings, 9 chicken tenders, a buffalo chicken burger, assorted fries and sides. The meal was tasty, with my fried burger not tasting greasy. The cocktails were decent, although the Chicken Rum lacked the flavor I remembered. We ended the evening with Churros and chocolate sauce, which hit the spot. Overall, it was a good experience, possibly helped by our excitement at getting out of the house for the evening."

Room was well spread out for Covid until a party of 10 arrived and all sat together. Very hard for staff to split them and adhere to rules. This made me feel quite uncomfortable. We have ordered from Spice N Grill at least 6 times since lockdown and have always experienced really quick service and the best food, really cheap too. Absolutely love the biryanis and kebabs. Never had a disappointing meal here, probably our favourite take away in Portsmouth."
