"My friend and I had the loveliest 4 hours here last night. Such a warm welcome from Sandra on arrival, who was very attentive and patient all evening. The food was delicious, just gorgeous. We both had a pasta dish each, salad, aubergine stew side, bread and tapenade, all were very reasonably priced and very high quality. Being given a little taste of the wine before we chose, was a very nice touch that not many places do anymore, we appreciated that. It had a relaxed and vibrant feel. Raphael checked on us a few times, and even reassured us at the end of the night that we didn't need to rush off! And Antonio the chef chatted to us too. It was such a lovely welcoming place that we have determined to go back again soon, and highly recommend to anyone to do the same."

"eating was okay, moderate. I had the vegan bruschetta as an appetizer and it was softened in oil and the brot was soggy. the plumomats, however, tasted good. for the main course I ordered the vegan pomodoro con bufala, and that was good. for dessert I had the vegan cookie dough Al-Forno with vanilla gelato and caramel sauce. the gelato was nice, but the keksteig was a bit fat. service was good and friendly. overall okay, but I wouldn't go there twice."

"Felt like we 'd been mugged!. We went to Cafe Mode last Saturday afternoon and had a starter and a couple of burgers. Starter of Doughballs was okay, but noting great. We had two gourmet burgers for mains. Burgers were overcooked and nothing special. The french fries were okay. To look at the menu we were expecting a bill of around £28, through various crafty additions, £3 for the bottle of water on the table, extra £2 for goats cheese on a burger which came with cheese etc plus a manditory service charge) they had upped it to £43. "Can be summed up in two letters: OK. Not much ambience and very obviously a restaurant attached to a hotel as most patrons on the evening we visited were obviously staying in the hotel and were accompanied by their books, newspapers, laptops etc by way of company. Bad beginning when we asked where we could hang out coats late November and told on the back of your chairs. Shame a restaurants could not bang four nails into a wall in some corner, but there you are. Meal proceeded accordingly, service, food, wine OK, but we had had enough by the time the mains were finished and did not call back again for any of the other evenings of our stay in London"

"Won't be going back. We used to live in Braintree and this was our go to Friday night Fish and chips takeaway. Went back yesterday as our local Chip van is getting a little expensive and the potion size is slipping. But wish we had not bothered travel the 12 mile round trip. The fish was a good size, but the chips potion had got a lot smaller. But that is where the prize stops. The fish was overcooked Dry and chewy and the Chips were under cooked and did not taste very nice.they had all stuc=k together by the time we got home. In my opinion this Takeaway has gone down hill since Covid a lot like many other takeaways and restaurants. Sorry but not worth the money or the time for a good Takeaway."

"Went for a birthday meal with family i hadn't seen in 3 months. Great food and just the right ambience and volume level to have a proper catch up. Very reasonably priced! "On a recent visit to Leeds, we'd done the Xmas shopping and fancied a drink inside somewhere we were walking along and accidentally discovered this place what a gem! The house wines were very, very good and after ordering just drinks, we were also treated to a small, freshly made platter of bread sticks, cheese and salami. We sat in the window seats and watched the city life go by while enjoying the wines. If there's anything to say that isn't positive, it'd be that the lighting was, in our opinion, too bright and needed turning down a little. But that shouldn't detract from what was a fantastic discovery. We'll be back the next time we're in Leeds!"

"'Yay! I 'm a fan ' pretty much sums up my feelings about Pomegranate. Having had it delivered via Deliveroo i wasn 't overly impressed and wasn 't sure what all the hype was about. But last night after a stressful day and having lost the ability to want to cook anything, i decided that going out to dinner was an acceptable choice. we decided on Pomegranate as it was nearby and middle eastern food sounded like a great option at 8pm! i haven 't been in this place since it was ferri 's apparently what is many years ago now. but the inside is completely different, loads of colour and what appeared to be a back room i have no memory of. lots of tables so we didn 't have any problem just walking in without a booking and service was quite and friendly. we opted for two mezze dishes and two mains to share between us. the mezze didn 't take long and the minced lamb pastry triangles (which have an actual name that i 'm not even going to attempt to spell), the tabbeulouh, and flat bread were with us shortly. each bite i 'm pretty sure was tastier than the last. the tabbeulouh is not what you usually get- a salad full of bulgur wheat and not much veg. not this was packed full of fresh parsley and chopped up tomato with loads of lemon juice mixed it. it was super fresh tasting and absolutely moreish. the mince lamb triangles were equally moreish although a bit spicy which i didn 't expect. however that did not stop me eating my half of the portion and i 'd definitely order them again. our mains arrived in prompt time and i think my falafel shrawma wrap was the favourite. it was a fairly large wrap (made with they delicious flat bread) stuffed full of falafel of chilli yogurt sauce and some veg. it was so incredibly good that i probably had one bite too many after proclaiming that i was full. it 's served with a salad on the side which is good as anything else would have been too much. we also had the mixed sharwma platter with lamb and chicken, rice, and an okra stew thing. the okra was really good which surprised me as i 've not been a fan before. and the chicken sharwma was mouth watering! i 'm pretty sure next time i 'll have that in my wrap over the falafel. both of us were stuffed after sharing the two mains and couldn 't manage to finish them. next i think we 'll go with just one main! the portions are pretty massive. this is a totally great restaurant and i wish that my original deliveroo delivery had been to a better standard. i 'll definitely be back here as the food is too delicious to pass up! not to mention speedy service which means when you 're tired and can 't be bothered cooking this is a good place to go for a reasonably priced quick meal."

"Meza is a busy restaurant. Meals are cooked to order in full view of the diners in the main room in the front. The kitchen is contemporary Lebanese, with a good selection of vegetarian options (including several bean dishes) in addition to delicious chicken and lamb variations. The red and white Lebanese house wine is delicious and cheap. The service is attentive and friendly. We first sat next to a very loud party in the back room, and the Meza team was happy to bring us to the front with a minimum of foot."

"I should clarify now that I'm actually a vegetarian. We were visiting for a family birthday, everyone else are meat eaters, so they've very much informed this review. The premise is you pay a fixed price, you can order as many sides as you want and then the servers bring the meat on gabbing skewers and carve at the table, you take as much or as little as you want all in the price. There is a lot of meat on offer, pork, chicken, steak...the list goes on. Apparently all well cooked and flavoured. Side dishes range from salads, cheesy dough balls, fries, bean stews. Lots of good veggie stuff, the only problem was the veggie meal is and should include a lasagne, but they didn't have any! Didn't go hungry, but not really the point. Kids menu is good value, for kids up to no matter how much they eat!"

Very attentive. the quality of our food was very high and we feel it represented excellent value. They were not massive portions but we found the portions for our needs was fine. "I went with a group of people last night and we were waiting nearly minutes for our drinks to arrive, Then finally ordered our food and they took over an hour with that then they served us half cooked prawns which we did not realise until i ate one and had a funny taste in my mouth so we checked the others and they were part cooked and part raw which is abissmal i told them to take them away then they offered to cook more i said i do not want any more food from you as i didn't feel well then and hour later when everyone finished there main course the waiter who seemed non existent finally arrived to take pudding orders and tried offering me it when i told him i didn't feel well was ridiculous and that i wished to speak to the manager he arrived minutes later and tried telling me that the prawns were cooked so i told him to go get them and we can check again even after the waiter admitted they were not cooked and my whole cooked see they were not then he asked what he could do to help with the issue so i told him to remove all my food off the bill which he said he did but when it came to pay he had not taken anything off and even tried charging for a free bread dish which i asked for to try and settle my stomach so i spoke to the rude manager again to remove it all he then added a service charge and tried billing us for things we didn't have so they ruined my first night out in a month and made me very ill and just didn't care the service was the worst i have ever seen and i eat out rather a lot due to hours i work so to all members of the public do not go eat there unless you wish to be very ill and have a condescending manager try telling you that your wrong."

Last weekend was our introduction to your wonderful restaurant at Putney, courtesy of our son 's Brazilian partner, and I have to say I have never been so astounded by the natural ambience of all the staff to provide the most amazing dining experience we have ever encountered. Michelin 'starred ' restaurants/Chefs can certainly provide some interesting food but as yet I have not discovered one that has the genuine affection to all customers the moment one walks through the door until you leave and even then still insist in ensuring the visit and experience has been as memorable as it could be, and yes we have dined at some famously named restaurants. Last night was my second experience and I would not have considered it possible to improve on the first but you guys did it. To be greeted by name and dined and entertained as we were is a unique gift you must culture forever and your restaurant 's will always be full, Well done and thank you again to ALL the staff. Just a comment to the couple of people that were 'disappointed with Putney ' then I would also state you must be reviewing the wrong restaurant!"
