"Felt like we 'd been mugged!. We went to Cafe Mode last Saturday afternoon and had a starter and a couple of burgers. Starter of Doughballs was okay, but noting great. We had two gourmet burgers for mains. Burgers were overcooked and nothing special. The french fries were okay. To look at the menu we were expecting a bill of around £28, through various crafty additions, £3 for the bottle of water on the table, extra £2 for goats cheese on a burger which came with cheese etc plus a manditory service charge) they had upped it to £43. The Service was okay but not worth a manditory 12.5%! Service was brisk and prompt but gave the overwhelming impression that we were being a...read more"

Extremely nasty. Staff friendly but everything else to be avoided at all costs. Horrid frozen food that makes iceland's premium range seem quality. Avoid.

Love cafe mode. Cafe mode is very popular for good reason, great value for covent garden, lively atmosphere and delicious food( try the goats cheese bruschetta ,to die for),service is friendly and for once no-one is rushing you to finish and leave. love it!!!

poor in every sense, but the service. booked on a taste card and said that this was only valid on the cut-off £30 set menu. tuned with previous reviews müll frozen eating, feels like a smuggling with a mandatory service fee and tries to stack the bill. can not recommend it and never guess again.

comfortable and friendly, but that. convenient and friendly, but that is where it stops in terms of positive, eating was very poor, thunfish was dry, although I was rarely twice, garlic bread, difficult to get wrong was dry and expensive, our party of four all thought equal and two of the party were children. they give him a large berth, unless their taste buds have left the city!

Hidden gem, could be more cosy. Fantastic choice before a theatre visit, a little bit offside and therefore not overcrowded. Italian food (the salmon pasta and the goat cheese pizza with sun-dried tomatoes were delicious), burger, and amazing deserts (warm apple pie recommended). The seating could be better; some tables within the restaurant are nice, others less. When they dimmed the light and lightened the candles, it became more friendly. A few tables are available outside. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

outstanding experience in caffe mode. I have eaten in caffe mode, endell street for five years and can not speak much of the quality of the service and the food here. the staff is always very friendly, friendly and efficient. service is very personal and fast, and nothing is too much annoyed for the well-trained staff. the management and the personal always remember me and seem really happy to see me. portions are very generous and I have always found the dishes to be very cheap. I brought several friends here and none of them has ever been disappointed. they all commented on how beautiful the atmosphere is in this restaurant. The...read more
