"Not happy with food or service table was booked online but they couldn't find it when we arrived. However there was plenty of room so not a problem. Two of us had food that was almost cold, within the space of 5 minutes 3 different waiters came across and asked if all was okay. Asked for Horse radish sauce and they didn't seem to know what it was I think they went to the kitchen to find out as it eventually appeared. We should have complained then, however, we were going to the theatre so on a timetable, we had already waited quite considerable time for the meal, considering there were only 14 covers in the restaurant at the time! Not we will not be going back."

"The service was outstanding, and the food was incredibly delicious. Even though the restaurant was busy, they promptly found us a table. When there was a delay in our meal preparation due to another customer with celiac disease requiring a thorough cleaning between dishes, we hardly noticed it. Our server came over to inform us about the situation and assured us that our food would be ready soon. I didn’t expect such a high level of friendliness and professionalism in a restaurant located in an outlet park, but our experience far exceeded our expectations."

"Thoroughly disappointing! We booked at the hotel because there was a nice restaurant attached. We booked a table, when we checked in at 2pm we had our table booking confirmed for 6.30pm. Upon arrival to the restaurant it was all in darkness, a member of staff came to tell us it was closed after an emergency that had happened this morning and we could sit in the bar. The only tables available in the bar were low ones with big lounge chairs..not the seating for a meal! We don't go out very often so was planning on going all out with this meal, 3 courses, wine etc. Not at a lounge chair though. No one told us about the change to our booking. No one had reserved us a table in the bar. I went to reception desk where I was met with a very hostile member of staff who merely shrugged when I asked why no one had let us know about our booking. He didn't care. I felt really sad as like I said, going out is a rarity for us, and we were really looking forward to having a nice romantic dinner. Because of the lack of interest, and suitable seating we decided to get an Uber Eats delivered and had it in our room. Awful service. I presume the same kitchen produces the breakfasts in the morning.. which was delivered to our room over an hour late and stone cold. Such a shame as the location is stunning. Customer service needs work."

"Very nice place to visit, the food was amazing, the same for the service we got. Prices were reasonable for the amount of food we got and the drinks which was nice. The peppercorn sauce was definitely worth every penny, definitely going to come again."

"This venue has got to be the most iconic Cafe Rouge in their portfolio. Beautiful art deco building a joy to sit in. Great food. Visited 22 August 22 lunch and we enjoyed good, hot tasty, well presented, reasonably priced meals. Our waiter Mario was fantastic. The best mix of attentiveness but not overpoweringly sycophantic. Happy, pleasant and nothing was too much trouble. Took a pride in his work which can be a challenge to find nowadays. Well done and thank you both Cafe Rouge and Mario!"

"Generally I love Cafe rouge and we went in to celebrate adopting our children. We had somewhere to go onto and had left an hour and a half for food. The restaurant was really empty but service was so slow that our children did not have time for dessert before we had to leave (this was part of their menu). I oredered the four cheese pancakes. They were obviously pre made and had been microwaved/ baked to within an inch of their lives. They came in a little pot and were both dry and stodgy at the same time. They also came with a tiny tiny salad in a little bowl. No dog cam let ask if we were ok or if our food was ok and overall it was really really disappointing."

"Best Kebab and Pizza should be renamed Underwhelming Kebab and Pizza. They accepted our delivery, called us to say they were having issues finding us, then when we confirmed our address said they didn 't have a driver (despite saying they 'd typed us into their satnav). They then told us it was too far to come so we had to go pick it up, as 'it would be too hard ' to get the money back from justeat. Hungry, we let our stomachs get the better of us, and ventured on the 40 minute round trip to Ashford. They did kindly give us a free box of cheesey chips after some negotiating. All in all, the pizza was underwhelming, the chips weren 't great, but I have to say for £3.60, the chicken burger was banging. Very McDonalds vibes, but in a good way. Thanks for the memories x"

"Food was not fresh, lumpy couscous, cold and stodgy potatoes. Nothing like the original cafe rouge, did not represent value for money. Far too expensive for what it was. We would not go there again. A clearly struggling chain with a tiny menu ... strangely enough little was actually French cuisine. Sorry for bad review but that was disappointing and I would really like my money back."

"We used to frequent this restaurant often because of the great food and kid-friendly atmosphere, with quick and friendly staff making it a good value. However, our recent experience on Mother's Day was disappointing. When my wife arrived slightly before me, the manager watched her struggle with a pram and did not offer to help. Additionally, half of the menu items were already sold out by noon. When the food did arrive, my wife's medium steak was overcooked and solid. The server did not address her concerns, and the service was slow overall. We were also overcharged, which I thankfully noticed before paying. It is disappointing to see the decline in the quality of the restaurant, likely due to a change in management. Our experience left us feeling ripped off and put a damper on our special occasion. Unfortunately, we do not plan to return to this restaurant."

"I was very disappointed with my experience at Cafe Rouge in Victoria. As a regular customer of the franchise, I chose this branch as a central meeting place for a group of friends. However, we were unhappy with the cold atmosphere, noisy environment, and lack of service. We waited over an hour for our food without any apology from the staff. I believe it would be best to shut down this branch, as it reflects poorly on the reputation of the other restaurants in the chain."

"The decoration was great... That's pretty much that. The food was a tasteless mixture in between cement and disgust. The nachos were horrible, the cheese wasn't even melted at all. After 2 minutes on the table the cheese started to cut up and to form small balls of cheese. When we told the waitress she said that she will pass the message to the kitchen, and that's it. The Mac n cheese had crumps of something very funny looking on top, as long as I remember it wasn't mention on the menu, and to be honest, a pinch of salt would have save it, maybe. The burgers were floating, like literally floating in oil, and the bacon was falling in pieces on the plate. The worst part was that the Yates in front of us was full of people while this place was fully empty, we could have spent our 28 pounds there instead."

"Myself and my Husband visited Cafe Rouge, The Mail Box on Saturday 10th September for my Husband's birthday meal.As Always we enjoy the experience very much,as we alway's do. Very friendly attentive staff,and a good choice of food on the menus.Plus because they are one of the group of retaurant's where you can use your Tesco's Club Card Voucher's a meal that should have cost 73.15 cost 33.15! I would recommend this particular Cafe Rouge to anyone!"

"This place is Awful and has not trained the bouncers at the door how to greet the customers because of whom probably they are getting their salaries from.I and my friends visited this place last night , we forgot our ids so we went home and got the Ids and when went inside.While going inside my friend guy friend was carrying a man bag was told that he’s not allowed to get the bag inside when we asked him for a reason for the same he didn’t answer any thing but at the same time I was allowed with my lady bag in there.We offered him if he can check his bag and allow him inside then but he insisted us to go back hide your man bag inside and then you can enter which is so disrespectful and bad.Then we went inside enjoyed our selves so by the end of time we were leaving the same bouncer who let us in started abusing and assaulting us when we said don’t touch he said “I’ll show you what I can do and even touch you”.He pushed me badly and grabbed my friend’s arm and dragged him out of the club.This incident has shocked me from inside out that what kind of Racist and sexist behaviour is this.For the first time in my life I have seen such heartless behaviour inside a club this is not even human.If a women can get a purse that’s allowed and man cannot isn’t this unfair and sexiest ?? We group of people spent almost 300 pounds in this club and this club gave us a very hard time, forget the service they can’t even match the basic standards on even humanitarian grounds or any place if compared.People who wants to have a good quality time “PLEASE AVOID Going to this bar as this is beyond the expectations of insults and sexism and racism you’ll face in your entire life”.I would never visit this place again and never recommend to my friends."

"The food was excellent and the drinks were generous in size, but unfortunately, the service was terrible. Our group of 25 people had 3 tables that were adequate for us to sit at and chat, but we were not allowed to move or switch seats, which was inconvenient. Guests who arrived late were not allowed to join us at our tables and were instead sent to the bar area, which we found unacceptable. We were also told that the bill would be split evenly among the tables, but later discovered that food from one table had been added to another table's bill, causing confusion during payment. The staff spoke rudely to some of our guests when they tried to join full tables, instructing them to sit at an empty table instead. This experience left us feeling uncomfortable and disrespected, and we will not be returning to this restaurant in the future."

"My partner and I went to this restaurant for our anniversary meal and had a reservation on a Saturday at 12:30. The first 45 minutes were quiet as we had the place to ourselves, which we enjoyed as it can get pretty loud when it's busy. The service was fast and friendly, and one of the waiters even brought us a complimentary Mac and cheese, which was a nice gesture. As a special treat for our anniversary, we were given a free glass of Prosecco each, which was a thoughtful touch. The food was fantastic - the oysters we ordered were large and fresh, served with a delicious salad and vinaigrette. The calamari we had as a starter was also lovely. We opted for the lobster combo, and the lobster rolls were delicious with a generous amount of fish filling. Although we couldn't finish all the food, we felt it was worth the price for the quality and portion size."

"I was surprised to receive a text while en route to the restaurant stating that my table, reserved for 6:30 PM, would be needed again at 8 PM. Having to finish an expensive meal in just an hour and a half is quite disappointing! Fortunately, the restaurant was quiet on Wednesday evening, with only five tables occupied. However, given these conditions, we won't be returning. When I made the reservation, there was no indication of any time limit on our table."

"Came here with a friend on a rainy Saturday for brunch. I had seen photos of the food before so I went into the restaurant with high expectations. We ordered the ricotta pancakes with dulce de leche sauce and bananas and the speculoos raspberry French toast. I wouldn't say the food exceeded my expectations but the pancakes were thick and fluffy. However, the sauce didn't have a rich taste of caramel which it should have been but it wasn't too sweet so that was good. The portion was massive so for £13 it was definitely worth the price. The French toast was just okay, felt like it was something I could have made at home myself so wouldn't recommend ordering this. Cappuccino was nice without a sour aftertaste which is my coffee preference so I was happy with it. Service was quick and the waitresses were friendly. Think the food came pretty much less than 10 minutes after ordering. All in all it was a good experience. Wouldn't give it more than a 3-star though because nothing particularly stood out to me."

Our party of 25 people had 3 tables, which we understood, but we were not allowed to move or swap seats to talk to each other. Guests who arrived late were not allowed to sit with us and were sent downstairs to the bar area, which we found unacceptable. We were told each table would receive a separate bill, but then one table's food was added to another, making payment more difficult. The person in charge spoke rudely to our guests when they tried to switch tables, and ultimately combined two tables' bills despite telling us not to swap. We will not be returning to this restaurant due to the uncomfortable experience and rude treatment we received."
