"I had booked a table which was ready for us when we arrived. Staff was nice and not too invasive. Food arrived very fast. Pretty generous filling and good taste. Everyone was happy with their choices. Nice place nicely decorated and nice atmosphere. The one thing that really annoyed me was the constant noise of plates and glasses being piled together as they were being watched over the bar next to us. As well as the heavy noise of the coffee machine... otherwise was OK. Ah! Also I mentioned I was coeliac when I made my order and they only said that ham had gluten containing ingredients once arrived on the plate...Thankfully was not in my order but they should have confirmed this beforehand..."

"The riverfront part of this shopping centre is actually one of the best atmospheres in Reading now, if not the best! Due partly to covid forcing more outdoor seating, this riverfront area feels like you are abroad in a place like france or germany sometimes, especially on sunny days. There are many restaurants, cafes and bars which look out onto the water. The beach bar is very fun and has a holiday feel to it."

"I recently dined at handmade burger and had a great experience. The interior of the restaurant was beautiful and our waiter was very patient as I decided what to order. I had a voucher for a £1 Burger/Salad deal, which was incredible. I opted for the American cheese burger, which arrived quickly and was delicious. The only downside was that it was quite greasy and the bun got soggy. I also received a side salad with tomatoes, even though I had asked for them to be removed from my burger, which was a bit odd. Despite that, my meal only cost £6.85 for a burger, drink, and side salad, which was a great deal."

"a little trenches online and I soon found out that the handmade burger company had opened a Manchester chain on deansgate, so I thought it was worth visiting in the established leeds restaurant whether it was a new star or a wet salate. the restaurant is very modern and invites from the outside and there was also no waiting queue. when my friend and I were in a hurry, encouraged us to eat here and we were quickly shown to our table."

"Husband and I visited this lovely Italian restaurant last night. The food , service and atmosphere were all top class. It had a wonderful intimate feel to the place with unusual artwork on the walls and old books on the shelves. The service was impeccable and the food cooked to perfection. My bruschetta starter and swordfish main were both delicious and the chocolate fondant dessert was to die for. All presented beautifully. We will definitely dine there again."

"We got there and were seated next to a drunken group who were celebrating a party which although not the restaurants fault, didn’t start the night out the best. The starters I would say were amazing, however we both had pizza as a main which was awful. It tasted like it’d been cooked a week ago and left out in the sun. We tried to enjoy it but despite being starving we only managed half. I did inform the restaurant who apologised and discounted one of the pizzas, sadly this was not enough and ruined the night."

"Waited for very very long time just to get a seat, even though I could see plenty of empty tables that just needed cleaning up. Couldn’t help but feel that me being Indian had something to do with it. I’ve eaten out a lot, even in places like London, and never felt ignored like this. It just didn’t sit right with me. After feeling ignored for so long, I just ended up leaving. Places need to treat everyone the same, no matter where they’re from. Won’t be coming back until they fix this. Very disappointed."

"Visited for a weekly ‘date night’ and despite friendly service and a nice atmosphere, the majority of the food left a lot to be desired. Both myself and my partner ordered a pizza for the main course, both of which were surprisingly bland with very little flavour. The dough was also somewhat granular when eating the crusts. My partner’s starter of what was essentially deep fried melted cheese with arrabbiata was extremely poor the arrabbiata was in fact seemingly shop bought sweet chilli sauce, and the cheese balls had zero flavour despite being made of cheese! The one saving grace were the portobello mushrooms with goats cheese this starter was delightful however I cannot help but think this was more down to the raw ingredients being tasty rather than any ingenuity in the preparation. The presentation was also strong, so we can give them that! Overall a poor experience, particularly given this is one of the more expensive restaurants in the area. Safe to say we won’t be returning"

"we had to go straight to the cold, good Italian cuisine, amazing desserts, do not miss the tiramasu and hot chocolate, good trained workers and always with a pleasant smile to brighten the place cons: can not think of any, only that they are part of a chain and I am not a big fan of chain restaurants, e.g. they tend to lose the charm we went to this place and fortunately got a table. we ordered a few tiramasu and a cup of hot chocolate. the tiramasu was pure gratitude and I was immediately brought into another world that tasted the beautiful combination of dessert! No wonder desserts are considered to be perfect antidote for stress! and from this I am a fan of this place and the amazing resting place they serve. the hot chocolate was also well served in a chic glass that I just loved the drink, it was a delicious content end of the night. I was a couple of times at this place and got a chance to try their pizza, which was decently distributed with a generous amount of cheese over the pizza! Drool factor? the tiramasu is amazing and worth drowning, the hot chocolate is also sinful; get in the bag? it is decent price for the place and eat that they offer"

"my partner and I thought we'd go this place as far as we haven't seen a chain yet. after that it was quite small, but seemed cozy. we sat down and the waiting were ready to take our order. we managed to make a decision on which burger we wanted when they all sounded nice. our food came out in time and the service was good. the taste of the burger was amazing and could not knock it at all, for me it was perfectly cooked. my partner has the Mexican burger and the guacamole has an amazing taste. the waiter we had was very friendly and gave us a good time. with the place that was so small, they had to turn the people away again and again, but it made the place cozy and more concentrated waiting."

"I really wanted to like this place but it was just awful in so many ways. The food was pretty good, we both had a carbonara but unfortunately my partner found 2 hairs in their food, after getting halfway through my meal I noticed that both my plate and glass were filthy. My glass was dusty and also had a small hair in it and my plate had clearly not been cleaned properly. My napkin also had a random stain on it and had to be replaced. Although the food wasn't bad it also wasn't what was advertised, it was very clearly not fresh pasta and it wasn't the type that was supposed to come with the dish, instead of fresh ribbon pasta we just got standard premade spaghetti. Very unfortunate, it should have been a red flag that the place was empty on a Friday night, I definitely won't be back until they seriously review their hygiene standards."

I had the vegan bruschetta as an appetizer and it was softened in oil and the brot was soggy. the plumomats, however, tasted good. for the main course I ordered the vegan pomodoro con bufala, and that was good. for dessert I had the vegan cookie dough Al-Forno with vanilla gelato and caramel sauce. the gelato was nice, but the keksteig was a bit fat. service was good and friendly. overall okay, but I wouldn't go there twice."

"Small, busy and crowded restaurant but with a great ambience and a welcoming vibe. The food, when it came, was very good indeed. We ate early on a very hot Saturday evening and had to wait more than an hour for our starters to arrive. The service, though friendly and efficient (requests were actioned properly and promptly with a smile) suffered from a kitchen that didn't seem able to keep up with the orders. In fairness, this might have been because the place was packed with diners the whole time. This meant it was a very noisy restaurant and it was hard for our table of 4 to hear one another speak without shouting. The location is excellent and we will definitely come back possibly at a quieter time of day/week."

"Was quite excited to try this place after hearing about the history of the building and seeing the reviews on trip advisor. However I feel this place is extremely expensive for the quality of the dishes. Restaurants that hold rosettes or even a Michelin star don’t charge these prices and we have been to many restaurants that hold these accolades. We informed the serving staff that the chicken was undercooked and rubbery and was simply told that it was because it was sous vide I have eaten lots of chicken dishes cooked using this method and it has never been rubbery. The serving staff did nothing to remedy our complaint which was disappointing"

"Gustavo Woltmann Incredible spot run by a coeliac owner. Nearly every dish can be prepared gluten-free, though there's a small fee for the gluten-free version. The owner, who was exceptionally friendly, took around 15/20 minutes to chat with us at the end, which was a delightful touch. The food was outstanding, and the portions were generous—I even had to take half of my main course home! Highly recommend and will absolutely be coming back!"

"Really great attention to allergens almost entire menu available (and contrary to online menu, the vermicelli is available GF with the simple substitution of the the crispy veggie spring roll with the fresh summer roll). Ate there mid afternoon and staffing seemed to have some difficulty with service times: it took two hours to eat lunch. But the quality of the food made it worth the visit."

"Went here for dinner last night and it was DELICIOUS!! The waiter we had was so kind and answered all the questions we had! He had a great chat with us too : The owner was also lovely! He had a long conversation with us about where we were from, families and the restaurant. He invited us to watch the comedy show downstairs and people seemed to really be enjoying themselves. Overall a great atmosphere and would definitely come back. Oh, and the food was the BEST pizza I’ve had! Especially the garlic pizza, my family was fighting over the last piece. They gave us some wine on the house as well, even after we tried to say no, they insisted (it was so yum btw . We’d previously been drinking wine whilst we waited for our food so they knew we’d like it. Im from Australia and would fly back to London just to come here again!"
