"What a superb pub staffed by lovely professionals. We were here for an evening meal. I had the duo of beef which was blade of beef and two generous portions of fillet of beef. This and the accompanying vegetables were cooked to perfection. My wife had the lamb cooked 2 ways which was also excellent. The Eton mess to finish was another triumph and a very individual and modern take. This was 5* restaurant cooking at its best. Congratulations to all the staff and thank you for a memorable meal."

"I brought my girlfriend here for a Valentine's Day dinner. We were looking for a local option in North London. It was a fantastic evening overall, with generous portions of food. I almost filled up on the chicken strip starters, they were so good! The restaurant offers great value for money and has beautiful views from every seat. I highly recommend this place. The service was good, with waiters regularly checking in on us."

"I made a telephone order at 11.30am and waited an hour and 15 minutes. I called to chase where the food was and was told it's being cooked now. It ended up being cancelled due to our long wait and rude service. He said that he would never take orders from us again. Good job. I wont be ordering again. I'd rather buy a hen and wait for its eggs to hatch it would be quicker!"

"We have visited this restaurant multiple times with both family and friends and have never been let down. The staff are incredibly friendly and always greet us with a smile. The food is delightful, made with fresh ingredients and expertly cooked by David. The staff also have a great sense of humor and join in with our family jokes (shoutout to Louise and Cat). We will definitely be returning. Make sure to make a reservation as it can get busy. The restaurant is currently decorated for Christmas, adding to the festive atmosphere. "What a hidden gem! This place is bursting with exceptional customer service, really capturing the essence of Aylesbury. Now for the food… I was feeling a hearty meal and boy let me tell you it was hearty indeed. Starting with the toast, not a fan of the pre-buttered element as the toast was a bit soggy. However it paired well with in the other components. The egg was cooked to my preference, well-done, the sausages were plentiful, and the sprinkle of baked beans was perfect. Improvements could be made with the mushrooms as they were too chewy and over cooked. Furthermore, the bacon (halal) was a little on the crispy side but the smoke element was *chef’s kiss*. Moving on to the hash browns, an extra few minutes in the oven would have been fantastic for the crispy topping. To top it all off the spicy sauce complimented this dish well. Overall a solid 8.7 out of 10. I will be visiting in the near future."

"Excellent value cafe, just note that it's cash only (I don't know if this is temporary or permanent). They will pop your order through first and allow you to go and get cash, easiest is across the road at tesco. Went with a friend, she had a full builders breakfast for only £5 as it was ordered before 10.30am. I had brioche french toast with strawberries and banana. I asked if I could have some scrambled eggs on the side, no issue. The food was gorgeous, soft and really thick bread full of flavour, topped with icing sugar. Also had a chocolate orange milkshake which was really strong as well and lovely. Lovely staff in the cafe, great service and very chatty. Happy to help. Seems to be a little hidden gem of a cafe, we'd not visited before. We were actually due to attend a different cafe for breakfast but arrived to find it closed so went here instead which seemed to be a major upgrade anyway we were well pleased with our visit. Loads of variety on the menu, can't wait to go back."

"I went to the Cracking Crab twice during the Easter holidays. Both times I had my two children (5 and 8 with me. The first visit was just me and them and the second time I also had two friends with me. The setting is just beautiful. We sat right next to the window on our first visit and saw the sun go down. On our second visit we were in one of the booths but still could see the view of the beach very well. The staff are always very friendly and helpful and make my children and I feel very welcome. We try and book the earliest table we can for dinner when we have the kids with us to avoid tiredness (the children! and enhance the experience for all of us. I have also been lucky enough to go sans children with my husband on a few occasions and have had some lovely, intimate dinners at table number 1! I love seafood and wine and both are very good here. Can't wait to go back in the summer!"

"I often bring guests to Jo's because the breakfasts are great value. This guest had been 2 years ago, and requested we return for Saturday breakfast. We were not disappointed. By 10a.m. there was a small queue for the door to open, and we were lucky to be third. We ordered breakfasts with tea and took our seats. By now the queue reached out the door! Two teas arrived soon after, and we didn't have to wait long before our plates arrived, full with bacon, egg, sausage, beans, black pudding, mushrooms, tomatoes and toast. Delicious. Total charge about £11, including the tea! Nowhere else comes close on price."

"I usually come here for lunch with a friend, but I was disappointed during my last visit. The restaurant was busy, with many young children at nearby tables. However, the service was lacking and the food did not meet my expectations. It appeared that they were short-staffed as we struggled to get anyone's attention to place our order or ask for the bill. Our meals were overcooked, which may have been due to them sitting on a heated plate for too long. Although the food wasn't terrible enough to complain and ask for a replacement, the overall experience has made me reconsider whether I will come back or look for another dining option."

"Update: I am revising my review as the app has undergone some changes in its offering, resulting in a lower score. The Beastie Buns have not been available for a while, and I did not have a good experience with Tin Tap when they sent me the wrong order. The loaded fries were not as good as before, which was disappointing. However, the Luben Pizza section of the app has consistently been good without any issues. I would recommend trying that."

"Good characterful restaurant, great food with generous portions. What makes this place though is the staff who are so friendly and welcoming. My only criticism, and it’s a small one, is that the place was a bit cold but given that we visited mid-winter and heating a place of this size must cost a fortune I can understand; perfectly forgivable as the rest of our visit was excellent. Would definitely recommend."
