"I was disappointed with my experience. The food was much better during our last visit. My poached egg was almost cold, and the mushrooms and poached egg were served on some heavy, soggy bread that was meant to be toast. It’s a pity because everything was delicious before. For dessert, there was no rice pudding, which was one of the main reasons we chose to come here. However, the chocolate fondant was delightful. On the positive side, the service was excellent."

"There are many good Japanese restaurants in London (Chisou, Sakagura, Roka, Murakami, Sosharu, etc) I don't consider Kiri one of them. Kiri's menu items are priced similar to other restaurants but the standard is much lower. The quality of sushi at Kiri was poorer (sinewy and chewy), service was poor even though the restaurant wasn't busy on our visit. Our fairly light, quick meal for two (with a cocktail each and a glass of sochu each) came to £140.00. This seemed very over priced for the food and poor dining experience we had. I wouldn't recommend Kiri and I won't be returning."

"Came with the family for dinner. Smell in the room was so thick and strong of some oil diffuser. While we were waiting for food order a couple walked in and spoiled my mood as they stunk of tobacco and didn’t filter their language. My kids were sitting with ears closed as they were not shy to swear in their dialog. Member of staff didn’t care. My sensitive nose was suffering to breathe as the air in the room wasn’t ventilated and open door didn’t help to suck the smell of cigarette out. Food was very salty. I made a comment for the chef but doubt will be done something. Burgers were ok and very salty as I mentioned. Sweet potato Chips were the best out of all dinner. Member of staff didn’t look like they work there as were dressed casually and not like for work. Floor was sticky but bathroom was clean at least. Just disappointed that my friend highly recommended this place. Won’t be back again."

"We sat in the pretty garden on a hot sunny day, trying (with moderate success) to stay within the shade of our umbrella. Drinks, thank goodness , were served promptly (including a generous jug of water); food (the set lunch for one of us, pizza for the other) took a little longer (there was an event being catered for at the same time). When it came, my companion 's squid starter was piping hot; plump and juicy squid with a crisp, crunchy coating and tasty dipping sauce. His beer battered fish was equally good, and yes, the chips were proper good too. The peas had been tarted up with mint and the tartare sauce lived up to expectations. The only downside was my pizza. I 'd seen the huge wood-fired oven and in my excitement, gone a bit rogue (I 'd never normally choose pizza) seduced by the woody smell and the promise of truffle honey amongst other things. However my heart sank when a piece of chilled dough was sliced off a bigger lump, squeezed through a mangle and yanked into a vague round, scattered over with toppings and shoved into the fire. The result was as expected; an unyielding, dense crust (no time allowed for the yeast to work its magic). The excellent chilli oil I poured on top went some way towards lifting things but if we return I 'll stick to what they do best and leave pizza making to those who know how."

"my other half and I went to an early dinner tonight and we loved it! I am vegetarian and it is so great to have so many possibilities. I have only one suggestion, and that would have more tofu options (in the tapas/ramen/tempura etc section) as I love tofu! it is nice for veggie options to be something different than just sweet! the available options were plentiful enough to stay filled positiw! service was great, had a nice chat with the owner who is very enthusiastic about this style of eating. we love to support the local businesses, these really rivaled its mainstream equivalent. the portion sizes are twice as large as * the Sushi Square, which should not be named* and they also have the Tapas selection offer and the other hot dishes with offers throughout the week. I used the 2 for £10 cocktails as well as those were very nice and they can mix and fit!"

"We booked for Sunday lunch as there was a vegan option on the menu, when we got there I asked what the dinner consisted of and no one could really tell me, after a bit of back and forth they told me it was basically a plate of vegetables and its The same price as a roast with chicken etc.. I would expect a nut roast or something substantial for that price! The rest of the menu isn't great for a veggie... the pizzas weren't being served but no where stated this. We ended up leaving and going to a different pub. Such a shame as i've wanted to go for some time as its so pretty . Unless they improve their menu we wont be returning"

"I have an interest in world beers, Belgian in particular and whilst travelling from the highlands on the train, I researched a place to eat and enjoy a drink or two once I reached Edinburgh. Salt Horse hit the right buttons and was supposed to be open when I arrived. They were closed due to unavoidable circumstance when I arrived, but we’re indeed open when they said they would be but this just left me an hour or so. The server answered all questions from myself and others, recommended beers, went across to the shop for a couple of bottles for me, even though the shop was officially closed, and made sure my food came out in a timely manner in order for me to get to the train station for my onward journey. Top marks for food, choice of beer, and service."

"Honestly one of the best burger places! Amazing food great quality and super affordable! The only reason I put 4 stars is because I didn't feel very welcome. I went upstairs to order my second burger as I super enjoyed the first and I said to the guy who served me how amazing was the burger. He didn't even looked at me and he just asked me what I would like. I just think that this place will definitely deserve my fifth star if the work a bit with their hospitality and welcoming people! I definitely recommend a visit as the food is great."
