"REMEMBER TO TAKE AN UMBRELLA! The car park is in a field about a quarter of a mile away from the restaurant. There was light rain upon my arrival and I didn’t have an umbrella in the car so arrived at the table looking slightly damp. Surely there should be a better arrangement from a venue owned by the Dorchester Group?! Food, wine and service were all fine, but this is far from being a cheap restaurant so that’s to be expected."

"Enjoyed our lunch however a very unruly large group celebrating a birthday. The adults of the group were not looking after their kids and the kids were running through all the tables, climbing the lamposts etc Staff seemed to be getting quite frustrated with the group too as they were trying to run the food to the guests but they were not listening to them. Slightly spoilt the atmosphere, not really the fault of The Barn but did impact our enjoyment unfortunately."

"Quite enjoyed our first visit to but disappointed that we were not informed about the Specials' board which was blocked by Chinese guys in front of the board and messing around with mobile phones...so we missed our favourite starter Mussels ! It was nt busy when we arrived at so I think the waiter could have been a little more attentive. The food is a bit too expensive, though tasty. No-one picked up it was my wife's birthday though we added this on our booking form....so again attention to detail' was lacking. Not sure if we would return given all of the above."
