"REMEMBER TO TAKE AN UMBRELLA! The car park is in a field about a quarter of a mile away from the restaurant. There was light rain upon my arrival and I didn’t have an umbrella in the car so arrived at the table looking slightly damp. Surely there should be a better arrangement from a venue owned by the Dorchester Group?! Food, wine and service were all fine, but this is far from being a cheap restaurant so that’s to be expected."

The ambience and service of the Barn was good but for a top class restaurant the food was very average and at the prices being charged was not great value .

It was a bit warm for an outdoor lunch, but we braved the Barn nevertheless. We had a very enjoyable meal in beautiful surroundings. It’s not cheap, but I think it’s good value.

Went to the Barn for my wife’s birthday. The sunny day, the very tasty food, excellent service and wonderfully quiet location made it very special. We enjoyed a walk in the grounds after too.

Good food, but not all menu items actually available. Choice of wines limited and expensive. Have been many times and will continue to patronise The Barn because of its overall high food quality, it’s friendly staff and the ‘wow’ factor of the location. View menu

My only gripe and it is a very small one is I think the meat quality in the burger was too good. A really good burger needs quite a bit of fat in it prior to cooking, During the cooking process, the fat cooks out which gives a really good burger much of its flavour.

Everything about the evening was utterly faultless and it’s not often I’d say that about somewhere. The setting, service, food, drink just everything was incredible and considering the extremely high quality of food and drink it was surprisingly really good value for money. Cannot recommend The Barn highly enough!!
