"I had been looking forward to dining here for quite some time, and while it certainly was an experience, the food and service did not meet my expectations. I was with a group of ten, and the noise level in the restaurant was so high that I could barely hear the person next to me, let alone my guest at the end of the table. Additionally, the cocktail waiter at the bar seemed disinterested, and it took over 40 minutes to receive our cocktails, despite the bar being relatively empty. If you're seeking an authentic dining experience, this place may be worth a visit, but I won’t be in a hurry to return."

"The food at this restaurant is delicious and fresh. I was pleasantly surprised by how good the mixed grill and chapli kebab were. I didn't experience any issues with my meal, but I have to deduct a star because the restaurant doesn't seem very clean and the wait times can be long during busy periods."

"Usually I ask what vegetables are in the biryani, usually there is fresh cauliflower, green beans, maybe some aubergine, mushrooms, even a few chicken peas! This being a vegetarian place I didn’t ask. Their biryani was fried rice, with a handful of the cheapest frozen veg mix stirred in. Diced carrot, peas and sweetcorn (sweetcorn? in a curry? You know the kind from Farmfoods with broad beans too? Yes that stuff. There was a lot of chilli in the food too which is not right for a biryani. I am appalled at the extreme poor quality of this food. It was a takeaway. If this had been brought to my table it would’ve been sent back. 11.95 I paid for this, it came with two little plastic pots of yogurt, no gravy. The chef should be ashamed. Putting this food out and calling it Mughlai biryani. Maybe I should’ve taken the cue that the place was almost empty (when the Tanjore just a few doors up was busy . I will return. To return to food and complain in person."

"We visited on a Saturday evening, with friends joining us as we always saying how lovely the food is and so they wanted to give it a try. The food was excellent on this particular evening too, no complaints there, but the service was awful. Plates were cleared as each of us finished our meal, which left one of our party under pressure to finish her main dish, because the rest of us had and it seemed the waiter was in a hurry to clear the table. We then waited for ages with no offer of further drinks, yet we all had empty glasses, nor we were offered the dessert menu. Eventually, we asked for both! We felt that the staff were trying to empty the restaurant as quickly as they could so they could close up for the evening. A shame really."

"I recently had a wonderful Indian tapas experience at this restaurant, with the best chole (Chickpea curry) I have ever had. It's worth noting that the founders and chefs are from Punjab! While I would have given a higher rating, there are two areas for improvement: 1) The starters, including Paneer Tikka and Chicken Tikka, were bland. The chicken was dry and the salad lacked dressing. As someone from India, I know these dishes should be bursting with flavor. I hope to see improvement in this area in the future! 2) The Prawn curry (tapas) only had 3 prawns in it. A better balance between sauce and prawns would be more satisfying. However, the curries in general were delicious with a great variety of sauces. Overall, I enjoyed my experience but was slightly disappointed by the tikkas, considering their importance in Delhi cuisine."

"We have always loved this restaurant but visited this weekend and we were disappointed with both service and meals. We arrived promptly were sat by waiter. No glasses on table, it’s a byob we asked for these. Waited patiently for ten minutes or so and requested again as we ordered food. Waited patiently again, no glasses but pickle tray poppadoms delivered. Requested for third time and although waiter was polite there was no urgency to his service (we were the only people in the restaurant so wasn’t run off his feet). Must mention the pickle tray was delicious great value for cost. Food arrived and curries were nice although nothing special and not as good as previous visits and chicken was sparse and over cooked. Naan bread was awful, looked like the supermarket basic range. Really disappointing as this was done so well before. Lots of food left and presented with bill without requesting it before we’d actually decided we’d finished eating. By this time there were 3 tables of 2 in the restaurant. Not sure the rush to get us out. On the whole an utterly underwhelming night. Basic food and basic service although reasonably priced, especially for town. We have had great meals here in the past but I’m not quite sure we’d rush back, whatever they have changed isn’t quite working."

"The food was delicious, especially the chicken curry and duck kathi roll. The servers were very friendly. Only drawback was that the dahl was not completely hot however the servers were very quick to rectify this! The ambience of the restaurant was chilled but enough people that there was a buzz."

"Lovely little venue, great service. Food was a little disappointing. I appreciate what’s trying to be achieved therefore have to commend their effort however food isoverly rich, the flavours lack a warm balance. Price point is fine, great to finally visit however I would not return."

"I had a fantastic dining experience! The food was delicious, especially the Shahi Paneer Masala, and the service provided by Shubham and Abid was excellent. The ambiance was enhanced by enjoyable music. Overall, I would rate the food, service, and atmosphere all at 5 stars!"

"Delicious food, could not fault it. Definitely worth a visit. Only that spoilt it was that they forgot to put through a few items so there was a delay and the one person who was vegetarian had to wait for his food to be made once they realised. But in fairness the restaurant staff more than compensated for this mistake. So what we paid in the end made it great value for us. We were very happy and would definitely return again as every item we ate was delicious, which can be rare to find !!"

"I had expected we to go to an old lesekneipe and that's it, but with Indian eating joy! the team was welcoming and happy that we bring our 2 year old to enjoy the evening with us. they can enjoy the basic Indian recipes or heat them with extra spices if they wish. refreshing to replace the same of the kobra bier sand kingfisher replaced by doombar extra cold and other alternatives. the restaurant page occupied by 7, we arrived shortly. the pub side had jägers who enjoy drinks. it works well. our server was a beautiful lady who took time to meet us and our daughters. we look forward to coming back soon."

"I almost don't want to give Lilu more praise as getting a table is tough already but for all the right reasons. From the moment you arrive, you are made to feel exceptionally welcome. The staff were all very knowledgable and attentive without making you feel watched. The food arrived at a relaxed pace and was nothing short of sensational. This is most definitely not your usual indian restaurant. Both the food and service live up to it's Fine Dining strap line but in a friendly and informal setting."

"Visited here for the first time, an i was very pleasantly surprised with just how nice the food was. The service was good too, with very attentive members of serving staff. Set across two floors, there are enough tables at this restaurant to sit small and large parties. It was busy, but what with it being a Saturday night a week before Christmas, its too be expected. I ordered, an can also highly recommend, the Desi Lamb, and also the Jeera Garlic Chicken, two very exceptional dishes. All washed down with a pint of Cobra Lager. There is ample parking available, with plenty of side streets. Heritage India also offer a take away service."
"Ordered a takeaway yesterday evening l. Waited almost 2 1/2 hours for delivery. When it arrived the curries were mainly just pots of sauce with barely any meat in them. Around 3 4 pieces of chicken and the same with the lamb. Naans were dry and cold. Spent over £40. Although it’s up to the restaurant you’d expect a few free sauces/ poppadoms when spending that much but not here. Wouldn’t recommend and wouldn’t order from here again."

"The food at this restaurant is amazing! They have a good variety of vegetarian options to choose from. The service is excellent if you decide to dine in. This is a great place for dinner and the price per person is between £10 and £20. I would rate the food, service, and atmosphere a perfect 5. I highly recommend trying the Mogo Masala and Chilli Paneer dishes. Vegetarians will love the large selection of dishes available here."

"Very disappointed I asked for chicken jalfrezi but what come was definitely not a jalfrezi it weren’t hot one bit no chillis in the curry at all Plus my mark shroom rice didn’t have no chillis in. Garlic and coriander naan bread was dripping grease and was that tough I could cut through it with my knife. The curry they sent was nice but I didn’t want that I needed a hot curry to cure my hangover plus the chicken looked like it had been cooked in a frying pan by my mum not chicken tikka which is what I expect from a so called 4.7 rated Indian. Sorry but would never order from here again"
