"Disgusting, paid £25 for a cold salt and pepper box. It's not the only time they've let me down. Multiple orders to this place over the past 10 years, and I would say I've had 2 good meals from here. Please guys, Avoid this Abhorrent place. The quality really does SHOW when the owner cooks up cold slop and serves it to it's customers. I suggest buying from Hong Kong, gemini or noodle house instead of this terrible place. Wouldn't even give the food to my pets. I was gutted when I wasted £25 here, the chicken was cold and it didn't look fresh stall, seemed like it was leftover from previous night and microwaved. I won't be coming here again, too many times you've let me down. Visit, Hong Kong, gemeni or noodle house. All very local to gar pan, and better food Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1"

"Regular chinese every weekend without fail.. was recommended via a family Friend and I'm glad I took the suggestion... food has always been hot when delivered and very tasty.. recommend the beef curry literally melts in your mouth. Salt and chilli crispy beef is also a must.. we have been awkward in the pasted due to other members not like certain ingredients and they've still succeed.. would recommend to anyone... also constantly being tagged via Facebook Post ect as a recommended Chinese"

"last night was my first stay in the ship and I couldn't recommend it enough! three of us were in a 3 single bed room that had a shared lavatory and bathroom. my first thought was how great the atmosphere was in the bar area, which is probably best explained as a traditional British public house. the rooms were beautiful and particularly clean and each staff from the bar area to the cleaning staff was so polite and courteous. we have in the night in the bassment straight on the road, which is the perfect location for luggage from the hotel and the venue. Although if someone had to be close to the train station, it is also a great location for it! my only complicity would be that some of the flure smoke melt, but if they are in a hotel above a public house, there is something that comes with the area so that I don't keep this comment too strong compared to the rest of the experience. would definitely be back to stay, it was a good value for money!"

"For years, John and his family have known since the 1970s. The food, cooked by its two songs, is amazing and extremely tasteful! We had beef in black bean sauce and the kung po chicken they were very good portions... and the meat was cooked to perfection in some extremely delicious sauces! The cooked rice was fluffy and simply perfect. Will always use this restaurant as we come to visit my mother quite often and always have a treat by taking away from here! Thank you, Lon Wah!"

"We are a group of Singaporean visitors, scourging the land for Asian food after a week of burgers, fries, fish and chips and steaks. Oh boy, were we satisfied. Imagine cold winds blowing at you while you run from your car to the restaurant. You...are freezing and the traffic light refuses to turn. You enter the restaurant, hungry, cold and angry. You feel a warm blast of air and a familiar waft of fried rice and noodles. You smile, you found home. Back to the review, big portions of food. most dishes are priced at we had people, we order dishes and a medium portion of rice. It was more than enough. Beef with broccoli was our favorite dish. We came back the next day for lunch. They have a cheaper lunch menu, serving rice and noodles of different variety. I had the roast duck noodles which was mmmhmmm. Recommend to go for Asian tourists who missed home-cooked food."

"If only Tripadvisor allowed for a 0 rating. Despite the restaurant receiving 4.7 stars on Uber Eats, my partner and I decided to give it a try due to its diverse Asian menu. We ordered Malay curry rice, sambal four-greens vegetables, tomato fried eggs, and lemon chicken. As a South Asian living in Europe for 6 years, I must say this restaurant should not be in business if they are serving such terrible food. The curry rice was nothing close to Malay, the sambal dish lacked any sambal flavor, the tomato fried eggs were watery, and the lemon chicken was dry and overwhelmed with lemon concentrate. None of the dishes were edible, and the chef(s) and the restaurant should be ashamed for serving such fake and tasteless food, disrespecting the culinary heritage of Chinese and Asians. There are much better Chinese and Asian food options in Cambridge, so don't waste your money on this subpar restaurant."

"despite visiting orkney with work for several years, I never had the mut to eat here. Chinese food is often not authentic. After reading the positive review of leon, I decided to order a takeaway. very agree, it is very good! die fry noodles had a smoky taste that is expected from the high heat used in authentic wok stirrups. platz was very busy, but I didn't have to wait long for my order. many employees and a very lively sounding kitchen. political staff and service. I look forward to my next order when I work in orkney again. keep good work"

"I was really blessed to visit her again in this trip because this was one of my favorite places when I was in cambridge uni. Not only large fresh seafood and Szechuan/Sichuan cuisine, they also offer £22 ALL-YOU-CAN-EAT hotpot with a lot of meat and vegetables! they can cook up to 2 soup bases from hot spicy let me share some of my favorites that I recommend to them, not miss: bark meat: awesome quality, not chewing, but tender juicy -fish fillet: omg super good delicious, ideal for any suppen recording -fish tofu: already one of my favorite foods, and it is great here - kelp: crispy fresh, love this! MUST-TRY: -chilli crab -steamed scallop both are so fresh that they can tell about their texture. some parts of the crumb are pre-reduced, so it is easier to remove the shell. the main part in the middle is my favorite. it is super easy to remove, with just chiffre and super delicious. scallops are really nice and easy to eat. they are perfectly cooked and seasoned, whether they love spicy or not. they have the opportunity to cook them fresh with hotpot, but I especially recommend ordering them cooked because their spice is super nice. Finally, there are many Asian drinks to order. I have aloe vera and pflaumenteee, the extremely sensitive are!"

"The restaurant looks beautiful from the outside and has an inviting interior. Initial impressions were good as it was busy (and had lots of Chinese guests which I took as a sign the food would be good) which was very encouraging on a Tuesday night. The initial drinks service was incredibly slow. I had to request drinks three times as we were well into our starters before they arrived. The servers ranged from unfriendly, to rude and seemed to give certain tables preferential treatment. The weak customer service made it a slightly uncomfortable experience and it was hard work getting more drinks, sauces, the table cleared etc. The food itself (and I eat in a lot of Chinese restaurants) ranged from below average or very poor. The barbecue ribs were fatty and disgusting in a horrible sauce and the crab and sweetcorn soup was scalding hot, bland and contained very little crab or sweetcorn. The rice was clumpy and overcooked and the sweet and sour pork really poor… huge clumps of fatty pork… I actually had to spit some of it out and left most of it. Very disappointing as had high hopes. We will not be returning and will be recommending that friends and family give it a miss."

"I’ll never bring business here again. I’ve ordered 2 takeaways from here before literally had a problem on the first order. This time I dined in, the confused waitress took our order only to tell us afterwards that they have a £30 min spend per person. Is this Epping or central London? Pretty shocked at their prices considering the cost of living crisis and the food is SO average, so bland and the beef was extremely chewy. The noodles and duck rolls are the only decent thing but portions are tiny… Not to mention the restaurant menu prices are a lot higher than the online menu prices. The only reason I didn’t complain at the time was because we were celebrating my friends birthday."

"The food at this restaurant is very tasty and well presented. If you are going with a group of 3 or 4 people, you don't have to order individually as there is plenty for everyone. There are additional tables available upstairs and the decor is really well done. The staff are always willing to help and clear up after you. The prices are quite pricey, but could have been a little bit cheaper. Overall, it is an awesome place with a dining service rating of 5, and an atmosphere rating of 4. Recommended dishes include Crispy Duck Pancakes, Crispy Lamb, Duck in Plum Sauce, Ribs, Sweet and Sour Chicken, Duck Sauce, and Duck Soup. There is plenty of parking available with free parking options."

If you where to find a menu of this place about 5/10 years ago you'd see that a MAIN course on its own would cost about £10.50 That's expensive for today), When you look at the menu TODAY, you'll find that it's £2.50 cheaper and priced at £8.00 I think it might be £8.50) but for business reason you could not ask for it to be cheaper ESPECIALLY when you take quality into consideration... I've been to the Chinese takeaway in Witney Carterton and I can say this with confidence that The Pearl in Leafield has to be one of the best Chinese Restaurants Takeaways I have been to locally! I can't believe that the owner is not recognised more for his amazing hospitality and great prices!"

"If you like to pay £19 for a plate of sweet chilli sauce with a little spice, frozen battered prawns and an overwhelming amount of peppers and onion this is the place for you ! Oh and don't forget you have to pay extra for noodles or rice... so £22 for a plate of food that is chip shop standard. In addition to the high price and cheap food the place feels unclean. We had a wall right next to us that was splattered with food, very off putting. I would have asked to be moved but my friend doesn't like a fuss and was too embarrassed to ask. After paying I asked the waitress if she would like a bit of feedback. I pointed out the wall we were sat next to and how off putting this was. She said it was the wallpaper pattern but I pointed out that with a little water and a napkin it comes off ! Filthy. I'm sure there are much better places to eat in formby so do yourself a favour and avoid this place."

"I hate to leave negative reviews, especially when a business is under new management and trying to grow, that aside my family and I visited to get a meal on our last night in Dornoch. The service wasn’t ideal as when taking the order it was taken down incorrectly (asked for chicken and got pork), the person at the roll point changed this however the same meals initially taken down incorrectly then came out as pork instead of chicken, 2 bullets were dodged as I will come on to. The meal itself was ok.far from good but it was passable. All members of our party who had chicken as part of their meal either suffered upset stomachs or sickness and upset stomachs, far from ideal when you have a 200 mile car journey the following day. Next time we visit we won’t be coming back. Not a great experience."

"Our previous regular had become increasingly more expensive yet increasingly more hit and miss for quality of the meals so we decided to try this one after reading other reviews and we are so glad we did! The portion sizes are great, it’s really good value for money, the dishes are really tasty, and staff have always been friendly. The prawn crackers and light are fresh tasting, salt are pepper chips great and the sweet and sour chicken and crispy shredded chicken in Cantonese sauce are some of our favourites. Not forgetting the Pekin ribs.. the list goes on. It’s not the closest to us, and they don’t deliver but it’s well worth the extra effort!"
