"From my first phonecall I was assured that the manager was going to help me at the door with my disabled parents. He was true to his word and was at the door to greet us. We arrived on opening, we were given seats close to the bathroom for access. The menu was extensive and explained. We ate amazing food and met the owner who was as attentive as the manager. Well done guys, you deserve the accolades on trip advisor ."

" weeduck22 (3 reviews) Isle of Bute, United Kingdom Every time I order a takeaway from this restaurant I get a surly teenager, who frankly sounds stoned and disinterested and so detached it's like I've disturbed him from doing something he'd rather be doing like well, getting stoned and drinking Frosty Jack in the local park with his mates. He invariably gets my order wrong and tonight I had to phone and re order something once again as it didn't arrive in the original order. I waited nearly 2 hours from the original call until getting the missed item. I can only imagine that if he isn't stoned, doom scrolling his smartphone has left him with the attention span of a goldfish, hence his inability to take an order of 4 items! Also, I've phoned many times and requested a new menu as the one I have is out of date and it never materialises. You know that way when you know someone is not listening to you and and just want to get you off the phone asap yeah, that's my experience every time. They have a captive market on the island I live on so have no incentive, motivation or even the desire it seems, to provide anything like decent customer service. On a more positive note the food is adequate and they haven't poisoned me...yet... Date of visit: June 2023"

"Food was disappointing. Chicken satay was bland and watery. Sweet and sour chicken was bland. The duck pancake starter was a let down was served on a sectioned plastic plate, duck wasn't shredded at the table and pancakes weren't in a basket so all went cold quickly. Insufficient cutlery as nothing provided to serve food/decant items onto plates. Ordered a mango juice and was served a Mogu juice drink with coconut jelly pieces totally different to what I ordered and therefore also overpriced. Coca Cola was served in cans rather than on draught and no lemon available. Generally disappointing, especially after seeing all the positive reviews. Place looks tired. Been to far better Chinese restaurants."

"Popped in with friends who recommended the all you can eat buffet, I wish we had not of bothered. The decor has not changed since it was opened in the 80's. The food was disgusting. Vegetable Spring Roll was dripping with grease. The chicken wings were coated in granulated sugar???? The ribs were plain with a bit of sweet and sour sauce dribbled on them. The main courses were too sweet. The seasonal vegetables were bland. The beef Chow Mein was weird, I think the beef was boiled??? Nothing about the food was to my liking. All you can eat buffet £19.50,not worth the money"

"No no no no! Chicken satay main course on the skewer was ordered, what was received was another matter. First of all instead of a separate sauce it was sploshed over top of chicken skewers in tub so it was virtually impossible to get meat...from skewers without it falling all over the floor. I use the word meat very loosely here, what was on the skewer resembled stringy rubber more than meat! The sauce was thick, globular, minimal with a few bits of under cooked onions thrown in no peppers etc as typical in a satay). This main course cost just under £10 and was swiftly put in the wheelie bin ! An eating experience I will not/ would hate to repeat ever again!"

"I was extremely dissatisfied with my experience at this restaurant. I ordered the special house chow mein and was disappointed to find that there was no chicken or prawn in sight. The dish was mostly noodles with small pieces of tough beef and greasy pork fat. The ginger chicken was slightly better, but the portion was small and filled with inexpensive vegetables. Additionally, I was surprised to find that the egg fried rice did not actually contain any egg. Overall, I will not be returning to this restaurant."

"I've been a loyal customer of Noble House for many years, and I've always enjoyed my visits. However, after last night, I can't see myself returning. It seems that there is new management, and last night, the only waitress on duty went through an incredibly distressing experience due to a mistake she made with an order. My friend and I, along with others in the restaurant, had to endure over half an hour of you yelling at her, even chasing her around the establishment as she tried to carry and serve food. The poor woman was doing her best to stay composed, and I honestly don't know how she managed it. Even your delivery driver commented that he would report the situation if it continued, as it was clearly a case of bullying. There is absolutely no reason to treat your staff this way, and I hope this message helps you recognize how upsetting it was to witness someone being harassed and shouted at by your customers."

"Delicious towards authentic Chinese food. Pots of Chinese tea started our adventure. The Hot and Sour soup had lots of tofu strips, egg and vegetables and the Wonton soup was full of wontons and vegetables. Both were enormous and probably meant to be shared. The steamed chicken with ginger sauce was really tender and tasty and the Japanese sizzling tofu were little bean custard bombs of flavour. Be prepared for it all to be on the salty side though. Good value for money. Would definitely come back to try more dishes."

"My husband and I are lived near San Francisco which has a huge Chinese population. Some of the best Chinese food we eat was in China Town S.F. We were pretty spoiled to have delicious and authentic Chinese right next door. We’ve been living in the U.K. for 10 years now and until we found Spring Deer, no other Chinese place over the years came close to what we are used to. We are super happy we found this place and finally when we have Chinese. We are fully satisfied and the food absolutely hits the spot. Spring Deer has a great menu and boasts a traditional Chinese decor. On top of that the food is super delicious and fresh. First Chinese restaurant in the U.K. where beef is not chewy and dry. The beef here, melts in your mouth. Highly recommend Beef In Black Bean Sauce. This restaurant is obviously doing something right. They have been open for over 30 years. We have been here 5 times in the span of a couple months and each time, each dish we get is fresh, aromatic and scrumptious. The restaurant is family owned and operated and you can tell how much they care by the level of friendly and welcoming service you receive. This is a very popular place and you can forget about getting a table over the weekend without a reservation. Best to make a booking a few days before the weekend to guarantee you get a table. Tue-Thur walk ins are OK but weekend tables get filled up pretty fast. Few other great dishes are the kung pao chicken, sweet and sour pork and chefs specials. To be honest, everything we had so far was great. They do offer vegan and vegetarian options as well. If you live or are visiting the area and you want some quality Chinese food, This is it. You won’t find anything better or fresher. Highly recommend Spring Deer for their food, atmosphere and service. Vegetarian options: Vegan and vegetarian options available Parking: Plenty of parking available near by Wheelchair accessibility: The restaurant has no steps and is specious. There is plenty of room for a wheelchair."

"After considering what to eat, we decided to have some takeaway Chinese Food. How wrong were we. I( had King Prawn with Spring Onions and Ginger. It was truly the worst so called food I have ever had. The King Prawns were very, very hard and not cooked properly. The Spring Onions and Ginger were the same. I had to throw it all away. What a waste. To top it off, they have increased their proces by more than 10% for so called food. Disgusting food, really over priced. Avoid at all costs."

"Despite giving this 3/5 in general, I have to say the service was brilliant hence not giving a lower rating super friendly and helpful staff. The food and it's price however, was dissappointing. The food was mostly sweet, not common unless you are ordering a sweet and sour dish wish we never do. Even the crispy seaweed was heavily dusted in sugar. The spare ribs were dry and chewy, so clearly not fresh. The Chilli Chicken starter dish was sweet and sour, not spicy at all. The Ho fun black bean chicken was quite bland. I would not recommend if you are looking for authentic Chinese dishes. The price point is also high considering this is a local restaurant, you would be less surprised paying this if you were closer to London."

"After a disappointing start to our summer gastronomic tour, we made our way to Glasgow with a vague plan to find an Indian restaurant and rethink our week. Unaware of the cycling events in Glasgow, our train ride was reminiscent of the busy London rush hour underground system. Thankfully, we stumbled upon an old favorite, "Opium", even though it wasn't Indian. We decided to give it a try and were delighted by the fabulous staff, ambiance, food, and drink. We were relieved when a couple with three noisy children arrived and asked for a children's menu, only to be told there wasn't one. With peace restored, we enjoyed a leisurely and excellent meal with fair prices and great service. I would highly recommend this restaurant!"

"Not going to lie felt like a pop up shop. 4 of us which was fine. But 6 came in and there was no way could a 4 and a 2 sit separate. It was like 2 of you just can’t sit here ans half full a table and eat! No alcohol license but the pub next door allows you to buy and take it in? Not sure how legal that is? Or pop to the co op and bring your own. Told this twice! Which granted is a good thing. I wasn’t told that the last time I tried to order wine. Satay came mixed in the sauce and very spicy. Chow mein was nice and fresh. Fried rice looked good. Chips usual Chinese style. Very quick too. Waitress was really attentive if slightly rushed. Must be 30 people sittings in total plus take away and they deliver. Bill 2 separate families clearly too. Told bill was full total and can’t pay separate as don’t have time to add it, we should have said at the start. Don’t have time to faff with doing it as they would get a row and they don’t want that? I’m all for good chat with the staff but being told they can’t separate a bill as it will cause a “row” isn’t what I want to hear."

"Looking forward to a Chinese meal we thought being on holiday we would try the nearest to us as it was walking disance for a Take Away. On entering the feeling is of a grubby waiting room. The man behind the counter was pleasant and...chatty. Food was ready in 5 minutes. Back within 5 minutes we tucked into the Satay skewered chicken. The sauce was pleasant but the chicken was hard on the outside and very dry on the inside making it difficult to get through. Onto the Duck and mushrooms. The duck was very fatty and chewy and the sauce was like glue and not very pleasant. On to the Beef and Tomatoes. The Beef texture was OK but had no taste the vegtables and Tomatoes were ok. But again the sauce was like glue and not very pleasant. On a better note the fried rice was OK, it was very brown which is unusual but nice texture and flavour. Unfortunately we binned more than we ate. We are regular eaters of Takeaway Chinese Food and this was definitely in the worst 30% I have eaten. Would not use again. Perhaps we were unlucky."

"I know the River Avon is bigger and offers dining in options but in my opinion, yumi yumi offers the best tasting take away Chinese food in Evesham. I have yet to have a bad experience and can thoroughly recommend their peaking ribs, crispy chilly beef, pork chow me in crispy duck, vegetarian spring rolls and kung PO dishes. "Wnt to this resturant for chinese new year and as laways it was packed. We have takeways for here and although it is quite a distance from us it's worth the travel (and taxi cost £30.00), but ias we both intended on celebrating, it was a must. Now on to the food....the wife persuaded me to go for the lobster special, the most expensive set menue on the list, she always did have good taste. Starter was crab sweetcorn soup 8/10, followed by scollops in their shell 7/10 (only because they were small), next was the lobster, which was OK 8/10 (I feel that lobster in general isn't good value for the money). The final dish was sizzling king prawn, served with fried rice with shrimps and whole steamed fish 9/10. With wines and coffee it was not cheap, but good food never is."

"Lovely dining experience with my family. The restaurant is exactly like the pictures, the tables all have a good space between them and the windows bring in a lot of natural light. The food we had here was fantastic. The all you can eat menu is very good with a restriction on how many dishes you can order each time (something like 4 dishes for 2 people, 5 for 3, 6 for 4-5 etc. . All of the dishes are small but come out at the same time. Once eaten you can order everything again if you want and it all comes out fresh and hot. Perfect! We ordered most of the appetizers and everything was delicious. Not a single dish we left. The pork dumplings were one of my favourites but there were so many it was hard to pick! The food is mainly served sharing style, so that everyone can have a try. The service was pretty good, we had to flag someone down a few times but it was quite busy so that isn't a problem. The bathroom is upstairs, which may make it harder to visit for some people. Parking can be a little tricky. There is on street parking outside but it fills up quickly. There is a carpark around a 5 minute walk away. Overall it is a lovely restaurant and I can see why everyone raves about it!"

"Met with my famous five friends for our Christmas meal. Started off well, service and food good. Just after 10pm the staff began hovering, when I asked why they advised they closed at 10pm. As I hadn't booked the meal I was unaware of the early closing time. We could not contact our partners to collect us earlier, due to the bad phone reception in the area. The staff ruined our evening with their constant coming to the table to remove plates etc and at one time they even removed the top tablecloth whilst we were still dining. We would never return to this restaurant due to being made to feel that we had over stayed our welcome."
