"Last week, I was invited to dinner at a new restaurant called Aline in Mayfair by PocketHighStreet, and it was without a doubt, the most food Iāve ever eaten in one sitting (and I grew up in Cyprus! I thought I was going to explode on the way home, but it was an incredibly satisfied feeling. As many of you may know, I love a sandwich (I seem to have written quite a few sandwich related posts recently! so when PocketHighStreet told me that Aline specialises in āgourmet sandwiches,ā I couldnāt have been more excited."

"The cuisine of Lebanon is one of the world;s finest. Simple dishes with good flavours, a melting pot of culinary ideas from all of the Middle East. And this unassuming little restaurant does it to a T , We chose from their hot and cold mezze dishes. Stuffed vine leaves, lebanese pizza with meat and cheese, a very good Hoummous Beiruty, a fragrant Tabouleh, good home made pickles and very good green olives,. Kibbeh, vine leaves, far too much really. Generous portions, friendly service. And they do BYOB."

"Eaten here a few times and it just seems to even better. Seen a review saying this could be the best Middle Eastern restaurant in South Manchester and I wouldnāt disagree. The food is exemplary, staff are nice and depending when you go it varies from chilled quieter in the week to busy at weekends. Itās BYO drinks so if youāve arrived not realising you can nip round the corner to Sainsburyās local which is a few metres away. Food pics may not do it justice but itās a classic meze choice of starters from humous dips, breads, baba ghanoush etc, mains are a great selection and desserts are classic Middle Eastern home cooked, the baklava is highly recommended. Vegetarian options: Plenty to choose from fully vegan to traditional vegetarian dishes. Itās a great choice for mixed groups. Parking: The paid parking at Village Square and Meadway are both less than a 100m away with loads of spaces and app parking (Ringo app) or coins, and only about 30p an hour. Donāt risk parking in unpaid spots or businesses as it upsets locals and you risk a fine as PCN are highly active with bramhall being a relatively compact village centre. Kid-friendliness: Very family friendly place albeit kids obviously need to like Middle Eastern food or be open minded. That said chicken skewers and rice is universally popular."

"amazing!. we went here last night and were completely blown away by the food. we ordered the dalila mezze and main at Ā£42, and it was absolutely delicious. the hommos beiruty was perfect, not too much tahini and a great resistance. the flesh was delicious. we have always tried only falafel, which is quite dry, but this was crispy on the outside and moist on the inside, and was a new experience. the owner tony and his personal did everything to make us feel at home and made sure we didn't want anything. baklava came at the end of the meal and again was exactly right, as it was not too sweet what it is often. we will definitely come back, and again, and again!. we could not read more"

"Although the restaurant is pleasantly decorated, that was the highlight of our visit. We felt that there was a bad attitude to customers from the start. We asked for tap water and instead of being given a jug for the table, we were each given a half filled glass. When we saw the astronomical prices for drinks, for water, for creamy milk drinks we realised that we'd better make our tepid tap water last. The food was average with no extras like you'd expect our cold mezze plate for was basically some dips plus rice in vine leaves. No pitta you have to pay extra for that. Rest of food distinctly average, some not nice at all spinach parcels avoid. Very loud music playing. Large service charge added. Will never go back"

"The distinctive exterior gives an impression of authenticity and ambition. I never eat out these days as Iām invariably disappointed but thought Iād take a punt, just on that exterior. I can handle an alcohol free dining experience but what was on offer, drink-wise was uninspiring. I went to ālemon juiceā and my partner went for ācarrot juiceā. Surely it couldnāt just be lemon juice, carrot juice but it was; no frills, bog standard glassware. I imagine they prepare all their dishes in plastic takeaway tubs. A portion of meat, some veg and then rice. This makes them easy to store and reheat with portion control sorted. But to reheat it and present it on a plate still in the shape of an upturned takeaway tub wasnāt visually the most inspirational approach. Too much rice, too little flavour, too little value."

"The place was virtually empty and we had to almost bellow across the room to get the attention of the servers. A glass of, admittedly fresh, orange juice should not cost the same price as a glass of wine, which was Ā£7! The wings, cutlets and baklava were goodā¦the fries were flabby and lukewarm unlike the bread which was steaming hot and lovely and crisp. Fabulous baklava. The toilets whilst clean were in a state of disrepairā¦cracked sink, random pipe/hose on the floor. If I was in the area and fancied some Lebanese food, this wouldnāt be my first choice"

"This restaurant in Coventry is one of the best places to enjoy delicious Middle Eastern cuisine! The customer service is amazing and the servers, who are brothers, are very helpful and knowledgeable about the menu. The food was delicious and portion sizes were just right. We tried the falafels, mixed grill, and kunafa for dessert. Highly recommended and can't wait to visit again!"

"No doubt their lamb Sharwarma and sautĆ©ed liver is a show stopper here. It's BYOB, Chefs, and Staff are very attentive, a very nice ambience (warm, clean, and cosy). What more can you ask for... the price? Very reasonable! It's Ā£7-8.00 for their lunch menu offer (12 -4 pm) so you can taste the good food for yourselves. I've been eating here for three years or more, I think, and the standards of quality are well maintained. See you tomorrow, guys!"

"We were disappointed to find that our reservations were not honored at the beginning of our dining experience. Luckily, they were able to accommodate us with an available table. After waiting 10 minutes for a menu, we were directed to use a QR code instead. The staff seemed more interested in their own conversations than attending to us. Although the food was enjoyable, we didn't feel like our dining experience was special or worth celebrating."

"my visit to beirut meza I liked very well, although my eyes might have been too big for mine. I had several of the hot and cold midshot, of which I would highly recite the hommos (a slightly spicy version) and the kalaj beirut mezza (a hello stuff flatbread) the chef, imad, clearly has a strong passion for eating that he cooks, and was about the dishes worth knowing would again eat a lot."

"Absolutely fabulous! We had a wonderful experience. Had to wait until they opened at noon but totally worth the wait. There are many options around Hampton Court but this is the BEST option by far. "We had a horrible experience. Would never go there ever again!! The owners were fuming that we only ordered four dishes between the three of us TO START, with the intension of ordering more later AND also that we only ordered soft drinks, not wine. The owners publicly humiliated us and destroyed our night by announcing to the restaurant that we weren't spending enough money and hadn't ordered enough to cover their costs so we it was not worth their while to have us there. They said their minimum spend was Ā£15 per person, although this is not stated ANYWHERE, and when we calculated how much we had spent, it already came to Ā£18.5 per person. Money was not an issue for any of us and we simply just wanted to order as we went. The man went on about it for rough 5 to 10 minutes in front of the entire restaurant. The food was delicious but the service and overall experience was horrible. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND this! I have never had such a horrible dining experience before."

"I've been eating at this great Lebanese restaurant in West Hampstead for a few years. The menu is extensive enough to suit all tastes, with great houmous starters and mains. The welcome is always warm and value for money is excellent, with a good meal for 2 with drinks coming in at under Ā£40."

"Rawduck has been on my āto goā list for a while and I thought what better time to go than valentines. Although I think I would have preferred elsewhere. The restaurant wasnāt too busy, but the host made us feel like it was. Thereās sharing tables and we were seating right next to another couple even though there were empty two tables available which is a shame for valentines night. Service was slow. Took a while to take our order. Food was nice. Good quality ingredients but nothing new or unique. The ratio to labneh and flatbread was a shame- 4 small pieces of bread with a bucket load of labneh. The fried chicken was delicious and 100% our favourite dish. The beef ragu however seemed like a very cheap and average dish that we got charged Ā£18 for. We waited a while for our second drinks. We then waited again for our plates to be cleared. Then when they did no one came over to us again. No dessert menu. No drink offer. No tea or coffee. We flagged someone down but by then we didnāt want anything else so just asked for the bill. Any other night it would be fine but Valentineās Day, it was disappointing."
