"We visited the restaurant on Thursday, June 13th and were thoroughly impressed. The small and cozy staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. They were able to accommodate my vegan partner, who often struggles to find suitable dishes at other restaurants. The staff went above and beyond to ensure she had a satisfying meal. The food itself was cooked perfectly, and I highly recommend the tandoori duck starter and the chicken Peshwari Special. The menu offered a wide variety of options to cater to every taste. "What a pleasant surprise this beautiful restaurant turned out to be! When we arrived, I was unsure of what to expect, as the building next door looked quite run down. However, this lovely restaurant is just behind it and is absolutely stunning. We received a warm welcome, and everything looked so appealing. The buffet was amazing, with a fabulous selection and incredibly fresh food. I especially appreciated the unlimited naan and poppadoms included in the buffet, unlike other places where they charge extra for them. The gentleman who served us was incredibly kind and made us feel truly welcome. This little hidden gem is somewhere we will definitely visit again soon. Thank you!"

"First visit to Shikara recommended by an Indian friend. Not too busy at 8 PM on a weekday but delivery guys kept coming for takeaways. First impression, ambience was calming with dim lighting and a candle on each table. Background music was instrumental OSTs to popular old Bollywood movies. Warmth was welcomed when it was -2 degrees outside. Ordered Lamb Pasanda and Paneer Kofta with chapatis. Lamb meat was juicy and soft. The curry was filling with fresh taste of yogurt. Portion didn't look generous at the first glance but actually packed quite a lot of dices. Paneer Kofta came with good curry. The doughballs and cottage cheese fillings felt a tad dry. Chapatis were light and at the right size."

"Finally I've found a worthy curry house I can be happy regularly since my previous favorite, massala, burned a year or so before. great service and eat that well presented and especially delicious! I had a tikka madras and it had only the right amount of heat was still full of taste. the shami kebab starter was great and the naan was probably one of the best I ever had. my only smaller negatiw is that in contrast to most curry houses it is quite brightly lit, which means that it loses a little of the atmosphere that they normally expect in an Indian restaurant. but if there was a choice between great food and atmospheric lighting, it will win every time!"

"I absolutely loved it! Having lived in London all my life, it was amazing to finally visit such an iconic venue. We dined upstairs and then enjoyed cocktails in the bar. The Lychee Coolers were fantastic and I highly recommend them. The views were stunning, the vibe was relaxed, there was plenty of space, the seating was comfortable, and the staff were very friendly and attentive. To top it all off, when we couldn't finish our last drinks (not because they were too strong, which is always a good thing!), they were removed from our bill without any hesitation. I have never experienced such grace and hospitality anywhere in London, and I go out often. We will definitely be returning, thank you!"

"Hate to write this review as Mint has always been amazing.. but today we received rice with salt in instead of coconut, we only realised after we mixed the rice with our curries. We phoned up and they were great and sent out what we thought was new rice and curry, however it was just the new rice. So now we only have a little bit of curry we could save from the salt with the new rice : feel so sad writing this review as the food is always great, but the situation is annoying and we aren't getting the money back for having to waste most of a curry."

"after being recommended by a friend, my wife and I visited the bonoful restaurant in portobello last night. we were very glad that we did, because the service was impeccable from beginning to end, including personal recommendations to which food from the restaurant manager to eat. we were glad about the help in the choice, as my wife and I both agreed that eating without doubt among the best Indian bangladesch cuisines we have ever patterned. fresh tasting sauces, and melt in mouth meat, all filled with amazing taste. they also have a great drink and wine selection. we will definitely be back and would ask everyone else to visit also so that they can taste the amazing eating that the bonoful has to offer."

"My family and I love this restaurant and are regulars for eating in and we have had a number of takeaways. The food is brilliant and can’t fault it. The eating in experience is good. However I would advise against ordering a takeaway. Every single time we have ordered the takeaway they with out a doubt are late. The last time I ordered from them I made a point of ordering as soon as the restaurant was open at 5:30 pm. The food did not arrive until 7:45. This would be forgivable if it was a one of but it is not. Being in the restaurant I have witnessed first hand the staff constantly answering the phone to frustrated customers complaining about takeaway wait times. I believe it’s due to the fact they use there own drivers. They have unfortunately lost myself as a takeaway customer now which is a shame as the food is delicious."

"I visited Passage to India with a friend on her recommendation. I often don’t go to the strip of restaurants opposite the Playhouse as they can be busy due to pre-theatre traffic but we went a little later to avoid most of this. From the outside the restaurant looks tiny bit it is a narrow, long dining space so there is plenty of room inside. I was delighted to see that chicken balti was on the menu so I couldn’t resist ordering it as it harked back to my university days when I first discovered curry. For my starter I ordered lamb chops. My dining companion for the evening went for hariyali chicken as a starter and chicken biriyani as a main. We couldn’t resist getting poppadoms and a pickle tray too."

"We had a really lovely meal, starters were nachos and halloumi fingers. Both were fresh and generous portions. Mains were chicken and chorizo skewers and rib eye steak. The chicken skewers came out sizzling and was very flavourful. The rib eye steak was perfectly cooked and seasoned so well, hardly had any need for the sauce on the side as it was so juicy. The margaritas were delicious and as nice as I’ve had anywhere. The host was very friendly, couldn’t fault the service. Would highly recommend"

"Disappointing to say the least!. Went in about on Saturday and were the only people there. Was told that we couldn't get a window seat as there were bookings for The waiters were friendly and surroundings nice. We chose a few Indian tapas dishes but were extremely disappointed at the portion sizes. Two or three small pieces of meat maximum per dish, uncleaned mussels (barnacles on the shells) and ALL the dishes were EXTREMELY salty, my other half thought this may be a ploy to get us to drink more.
